Ice field The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

 The moment Kayla stepped into the stadium, the sudden chill of the field slammed against her body. "Gawd! Ice Field. Why can't I get something sunny and nice." Kayla grumbled as she went to her usual position before a battle as she waits for the other trainer.
They had met before and battled before so it wasn't new for either of them on what the other could do.
Grinch was unhappy with the field choice but toughed it out as most pokemon would as he attempted to go on the field without slipping, which he did not succeed in doing.
"Well lets get this show on the road and then we can go to the Pokemon Center for warm drinks."

One would think that the breeder was cold. Normally she walked around without a shirt and solely in bindings, but due to the current battle field, she was wearing a baggy shirt. With her black Growlithe puppy trotting by her side, Phoebe whistled at the sight.
"Gosh, this place looks like a fancy-schmancy ice sculpture ya'd see at a formal dinner!" She chuckled a bit, seeming relatively untouched by the cold, and then pointed onto the field.
"Alright girl, let's get'cha a bit of exercise!"
For once, the puppy wasn't panting, since her tongue would probably freeze in the air. With a small puppy grunt, she began to trot into the field.
Began is the key word here. With a few steps, the puppy soon enough fell down on her stomach and was sliding along the smooth floor. At first, she let out a small yelp of "Growl!" but then with curious eyes, she glanced around as she continued to slide. Her nub began to wag a bit as she began to figure out that this was actually fun!
Phoebe couldn't help but laugh as her puppy seemed to go tummy-skating across the battle field. Waving her arm at the other trainer at the opposite side of the arena, she shouted "Ready whenever you are, kiddo!"
