Abrafo had spent all morning doing nothing in particular but everything all at once. After waking early, he then spent a few hours of lovely morning sunshine just lounging near a watering hole. Then, he felt compelled to pound the ground with his paws and so set off for a wander. Where did he go? Well, even he wasn't sure after a while. Then he hitched a ride back to the watering hole with an elderly rhino couple who seemed content to let him ride on their backs.
Once back at the watering hole, he promptly followed a troupe of baboons as they left, wondering how long it would take them to notice.
Quite long actually.
The joke was on Abrafo though - they knew he was there after only a short distance from the watering hole but they just didn't care. He was a small, scrawny thing and didn't pose any threat. After 'monkeying' about for a while, quite content to see them as playmates rather than a potential foodstuff this one time, he asked them the way back to the watering hole.
Back for the third time today, and it was still only early afternoon, he couldn't find anyone about! Frustrated and pouting a little, he found his paws taking him back to the den to perhaps pester one of his brothers or drag one out on their own makeshift adventure.

Unlike his brother Mahaskah was content to simply laze around flopped on his back gazing up at the clouds. Which was exactly what the blue male found himself doing. His green eyes stared up at the white clouds as they floated in the air a million questions swirling in his mind.
How did they manage to float the way they did?
What kept them in the air?
If they were in the air it meant they were lighter than air, oxygen but how much lighter?
Many more questions swirled and danced in the young male's mind as he tilted his head contemplating the answers. He had many possible theories to why they were in the air and how they got there. Perhaps they were just collective puffs of steam, water from lakes or the ocean or any other source of water that had been heated by the warmth of the sun to rise into the air. Because when it was in the form of gas, water was lighter than air!
Oh if only he knew how close he really was.

Before Abrafo could even set eyes on the den, he spotted a family member. With an elated sense of glee, he bounded over, his pawprints sounding soft as he raced through grass, then harsh as he trod on dry earth.
He purposely stood so as to block his brother's view of the sky.
"HI MAHASKAH!" he bellowed and smiled broadly.

Mahaskah had heard his brother's steps before he had even heard him calling to him. It had to do with the fact the young blue male often found himself thinking about something, usually his surrounds thus making him very aware. However he didn't know which of his siblings it was until he spoke. Quite loudly.
Rolling over to his belly he let out a yawn a sleepy smile sprawling across his lips. "Hey Abrafo. No need to shout, I can hear you." He joked his smile widening as he swished his tail back and forth before curling it around his body, well what it would reach at least, before tilting his head. "What can I do for you?"
It wasn't until he was on his stomach did he realized that he still been laying down on his back that his view would be obscured. How rude.

Seeing his brother sprawled out like a great big cushion was too much to resist - he fell softly onto his brother in a sort of dog pile.
"I'm boooored. It feels like I've done loads this morning but its still not enough. I mean look! The sun is still out! I thought it might have been nearly sundown or something already with everything I've done....have you just been sat up here, staring at the clouds? All this time?" he said in one very long blur of words. He ended with a truly amazed and confused tone of voice.
How could anyone just sit about and stare at the sky for a few hours?

"Go find something else to do then," Maha replied yawning. He didn't understand the need to do something to pass time away, to spend his time doing what he considered to be 'busy work'. He was more than content to just lay where he was and waste whole day away watching the clouds go by.
Sometimes he even napped!
He was certainly a lazy lion and he was proud of it. "Yes, I have," he replied in a matter-of-fact tone. "Been since I woke up and look how much time has pass!" He grinned at his brother. "Sometimes you just need to sit down, relax and let time just pass aimlessly," he nodded.
"You'd be surprised."
