Yes, we all know that live action adaptations of animes often end horribly. But it got me to thinking, who would you want to play the characters? Who would be best suited as the dark tormented soul known as D, or the spunky little hunter known as Doris?
Please tell us which actor/actress you would like to see playing your favorite characters and why.

Of course it wouldn't, but we can dream. Besides it is interesting to see who people would pick as actors for their fave characters.
As for Dragonball...well...we just need to bomb the studio and everyone who worked on that little P.O.S.

I think Johnny Depp would do a good job. He's used to strange roles and I think he's a good actor. He's already proven that he can wear long hair. And while his roles seem more goofy, I think he could pull of D with ease once he got into character.

I'd just be happy to see another anime. Luckaly for us, I don't think we have to worry about a crappy live action Vampire Hunter D moving coming out. It's hard enough just getting animes out of them. Whoever is holding the rights has a tight hold on them.

But yes, Mr. Depp is the only person I can think of that would make a good D. I'm not sure about the other characters though. Lol, I thought this topic would be easy for people to list off, but it's really not.

Also, I got the idea for this topic from a website that had the same thing, only with actors and actress's for a live action Phantasy Star movie. (Old games, not new)

Lol, cause the only people I know that well are american. Any Actor or Actress is welcome in your thoughts. I'm not bias about it. Of course Japanese would be better. Japanese men are super hot. Though I hate how you tease me with those pictures! So pretty!!!

It's too bad I can't think of a spot that would fit the main character from the french film Le Pact Des Loups. He was an excellent actor but I can't think of a D character that he would fit. He was pretty too though.

Oh J-pop/J-rock(ers) are very talented. Just check out some of their music videos? And many times they are chosen to play the voice acting roles for certain anime characters because their voices are extremely sexy in sound. And you know those anime movies with japanese dialog are very well done. Sometimes even awe inspiring. But I believe with the right company and movie director, even a novice could play an award winning performance in a movie. But as for Kamijo all you need to do is darken his hair, and in that second picture he looks like he could have pointy dunpeal ears already. And vampirish eyes. ^.^ Check out some of his music videos on Youtube? He really gets into them and maintains a sophistication fitting for a Vampire or Half Breed. I think he has the talent for acting too.

Johnny depp is a good call but yes someone not american would be even bettter. That robert boy is pretty cute there. Though i know nothing about him.

But usually non american actors are better for doing live action movies. Sadly enough i saw the cover of the Death Note live action movie. And i have to say while i loathe the anime the real life characters looked like the characters. Same with the live action Salior Moon and the musicals of that. The asians seem to have that anime to real life acting and look down pat. I mean s**t look at their cosplay usually its better. Though there are expections to the rules when americans have done some good work with cosplay.

As for the DBZ fail i still want to watch that but i know itll be painful as ********. I mean... lookit what they did to poor Piccolo... i love Piccolo hes my fav character in that series. And they turned Goku into an angtsy teen... yeah cause thats SO Goku....

Failing aside.
