He had his eyes closed, as he often did, the sun hurt his green glassy eyes sometimes, more so if he looked to the sky, so keeping them closed was always a good option. Rolling his broad shoulders his thick dark mane shifted a little falling further on to his forehead and shading those eyes as they opened.

He was listening to the world around him. It was fun to listen, sometimes he could swear the world was speaking to him, telling him secret knowledge. Tawadi had called him a seer when he had arrived, the word had been passed about so much though that it confused him a little, he was still young and inexperienced in the ways of his odd visions, but when he was alone he was happy to listen.

To listen to the world going by, it was a good sound sometimes, sometimes it simply whispered of flowers in far away fields of cubs playing in the grasses and odd glimpses of the day ahead and conversations he wasn't entirely sure he was actually going to have.

Sometimes these conversations were definitely someone else's but as a females figure flashed before his closed eyes he knew he was to expect a visitor in to his quiet place. Turning around he gazed off dreamily in a random direction. Who knew when this visitor would arrive? Not him, he just had to wait and see what the day would truely bring to him from this singular flash of a vision.

Kule set off on her morning stroll with her head held high and her fur perfectly in place. Ever since her joining, the young lioness had done everything in her power to learn more about the pride that her father had belonged to. Learning was best done by observing, her mother had always said, and so every morning she went out to observe. She was also looking for inspiration for her tattoos, something that she had only just recently learned of. A rogue wasn't allowed to wear full bodied tattoos, but she accepted that. She was one of the few lucky rogues who entered the pride with a surname.

Her stroll lead her out of the earth clan dens and out into the savannah. Her ears perked as she spotted what appeared to be a male lion relaxing in the sun. A quick mental check proved that she had never met him before, though that didn't mean anything. She had only recently joined the pride, after all, making friends with the earth clan leaders and the old pride leader Tawa'di. It was not really that surprising that she had yet to meet everyone, no matter how small the pride was. Still, she was sure she had seen him before. He was probably part of the earth clan.

Curiousity drove her closer, and the young lioness made her way towards Abiona. "Are you waiting for someone?" She asked, as she settled down near him. Why else would he be looking off into the distance?

He resisted the urge to chuckle as she sat down beside him. It seemed he was not due a wait today. He smiled and gave a nod his watery eyes looking straight through the lioness in front of him. Or seemingly straight through, truthfully he was looking directly at her but his eyes never truly made contact with anyone, he wasn't sure why.

"Apparently so." He whispered, his voice a low and husky whisper, almost airy in it's sound, far too low perhaps for a lion, especially a male, still the voice was usually pleasing to most ears and it wasn't like he could change how he sounded.

"My name is Abiona, I believe I'v been waiting for you." He raised a brow then and scrunched his nose a little in discontent, he hadn't meant to say it like that, it sounded so cryptic, he wasn't trying to be cryptic, he was simply too young to know what to keep a secret and not to simply blurt that which came to ones tongue.

It was a problem sometimes. Still, he could but plough on and hope she didn't notice his odd, unintentional blunder.

"You're new to the earth clan?" He smiled "I haven't been here for very long either, I think I'v seen you from a distance." He flickered his ears beneath his dark mane then hoping the change of subject would divert attention away from the rather strange earlier reply. he didn't want to upset the girl after all, he needed more friends in the tribe.

"Oh?" The young lioness tilted her head, somewhat confused by his answer. He was waiting for her? But how could he have known that she would be here at this time on this day? Even if he knew that she went on walks through the pride lands there was no way that he could have known where she would go today. It all seemed very peculiar, but Kule did her best not to be impolite. Just because you didn't understand something didn't give you any reason to be impolite to the person who was explaining. "Are you sure you were waiting for me?"

His next words were more easily understood, and she nodded her head. "Yes, I've only been here for a short while. My father was born here but he left to be with my mother. I've only just grown old enough to make the travels alone." The memory of her travels still made her smile. "You're from the earth clan too, right? I think I've seen you around. There's just so much to see and do that I haven't really met anybody else but Tailsin." She sounded almost apologetic.

"Oh, but where are my manners. I'm Atakuwa'kule Mila, just Kule for short. It's nice to meet you Abiona!"

His small ears twitched as she questioned him, he felt foolish and lost because of her words, maybe he should just tell her? She was one of the earth clan too, she would understand. "I, uhm, I see things sometimes before they happen." He blinks owlishly, that was a little too airy fairy for him, almost like saying, I see dead people out loud, which he was sure occasionally he did.

He shook his head casting away the thought, he would surely start to either look frightening to the new girl or like some sort of crazy beast lost in his own imagination.

"So you had family here?" He smiled a little wistfully. "I sometimes miss my family but I know they are safe some where in the world I think I would know if they weren't." A puzzled look crossed his features then, he was actually certain he would know if anything was wrong. Probably the first thing he had ever felt certain about, with this thing that scattered his thoughts and shimmied through his dreams sometimes his reality became a little sketchy at the best of times.

"You have found your home then, Tailsin is very nice, she and Adi are very welcoming to a weary soul."

"Oh." Kule blinked, tilting her head as she studied Abiona quietly for a moment. She had never heard of anyone being able to see things before they happened. But, as she had often told her sisters, just because you had never met someone like that didn't mean they didn't exist. Besides, this lion did look like he was telling the truth, and there really was no harm in believing him. If he knew she was coming than he knew she was coming. If he was just making it up, then that was okay too. It had been a good conversation starter.

At his question she nodded eagerly. "Yup! My dad was only here for a short time though. He had a complicated past." Her mother had told her that and Kule believed every word. What else but a complicated past would make her father so strange around girls? She nodded when he continued on to speak about his family. "Did you have a big family? It must be hard to keep tabs on so many of them." She knew what that felt like and she didn't even have magical future-seeing powers.

"Yes quite large, my mother was the eldest in her family, my grandmother, kikawaida, has many children and I have four siblings." He paused in his thought, his family was very large, larger than he knew really, the family had grown since he had left them but there was a little torch in his heart which he held for his family, where ever they were.

"Then that is why you have a last name." It seemed to strike him suddenly that Kule had announced herself with a surname, something he didn't posses and probably never would, he would have liked a second name but he couldn't think of a good one, maybe he would get one, one day.

"Are you out searching for something?" He whispers tilting his maned head a little curiously, it seemed the young lioness was journeying these lands in search of something and he certainly wasn't it, though it was nice to meet another member of the clan he was a part of heart and soul.

The lioness listened intently as Abiona explained his family situation. So he lived with his mother's family and his own family? That must have been huge! And she had thought having five sisters was a lot of lions to look out for. Abiona's family almost sounded like it could have been a pride of its own. "I never met any of my grandparents or aunts and uncles, but I have five sisters. They're all grown up now, but it was pretty chaotic when we were all little. My dad didn't know what to do with all of us." She giggled at the memory.

"That's right. All of us have my dad's last name." Up until she had asked about the pride history she had never realized that it was so important. She had known that other creatures didn't have one, but that was what made her family special. Still, it would be nice to know that she could pass the name down to her children and continue the family tradition. It set her a little bit apart from the other rogues, even though she still had not been born in these lands.

His question made her pause, looking thoughtful. Looking for something? "I wouldn't really say looking for something, 'cause it's not really a particular something. It's more looking but being happy with whatever is found, you know? Have you ever done that?"

Abiona listened quietly, it was something he was good at, listening, he did it often enough without anyone being there so having an actual c0mpanion whom wished to speak was a nice change of pace.

A smile crept across his maw and he gave a knowing nod at her question. "Yes, I know what you mean. I travelled here from a place called the pride lands, most of my family lives their in peace, my mother is a sturdy traveller though, she loved us all dearly but all she ever wanted was to see the world so to speak. I suppose that wish to travel rubbed off on me a little I couldn't stop moving until I found my place."

He paused for a moment and looked off towards the earth clans dens and smiled "A place to call home." He looked at his paws then, he couldn't help thinking that perhaps they were missing something, he just wasn't sure what yet. "I haven't found the right tattoos yet, but I'm sure I will eventually, for now, I'm sated just being home."

"Your mother likes travelling? So did my parents." It was nice to know that there were others out there who understood the need to keep moving. While it had made making friends rather difficult, Kule had never begrudged her parents' choice to be on the move as soon as she and her sisters were old enough to walk. She had been fortunate enough to see many different places and meet many very nice felines. And now, after all her family's wanderings, she had chosen her home and they theirs. "My sisters and I travelled with my parents since as long as I can remember. I only stopped my wanderings to come here. Still, I like walking. It's soothing." She flexed her toes against the ground.

At the mention of tattoos she glanced down at her own feet. "I want some of my own, eventually. I'm not really sure what kind of stories they should tell. I guess nothing really important has happened to me since I got here besides joining the Earth clan. Not that that's not special, but it doesn't seem much to base all my tattoos on. What sort of stories would you like to have for your tattoos?"

Abiona gave a quiet nod. "Yes, she was born in the swamplands with a wish to just see the world. I thinks he will return there one day though, she always spoke so fondly of the swamps and her time within them." He smiled. "It's nice to see the world, I saw quite a lot travelling here but my mother always said there were worlds out there that anyone could see if you just looked hard enough." He chuckled lightly. "I'd have to agree with her, but I was glad to stop walking. I found my home here"

Abiona looked up towards the clouds, what stories should his tell? He was never really sure about that. "I..I actually don't know, I'm afraid to write a story in case it isn't true. Sometimes, I feel, lost, or confused as to whether I have dreamt something or if it really happened." He creased his brow, his ability was both a blessing and a curse to him the melding of the possible future, the past and the present all leaving him a bit baffled at times. "Have you ever felt lost in your own story?" he whispers his glassy green eyes settling upon her for a silent moment.

The swamplands? She had never heard of those before. Kule, however, was not surprised at this. Just because one was a traveler didn’t mean that one knew everything. Africa was a huge place, full of uncharted wilderness and numerous prides. She would never claim to have heard of everything. Still, the swamplands sounded interesting. She would have to find out more on them when she had a chance. “I certainly saw a lot of interesting places when I was traveling, but I agree with you. It’s nice to stop walking and be still for a change.” She curled her toes against the ground.

“In case it isn’t true?” The young lioness repeated, tilting his head. “How can a story be a lie? I always thought there was an element of truth to every story, no matter what they were talking about.” At the mention of dreams she hummed thoughtfully. Lost in her own story? “I think everyone is lost at some point. But that’s okay, being lost. Your story can be about being lost and then when you find yourself.”

He looked thoughtful for a long moment at her words, perhaps his story was about being lost and finding the true way? He looked at the young adolescent lioness and smiled a gentle smile. "perhaps you are right, perhaps that is what I need to write about. Perhaps I will be lost for a long time but the story must lead to being found eventually right?" It was more of a statement than a question though he turned his glassy green eyed gaze upon her once again, such an epiphany from this young female made him smile.

"You are very wise, I wish I knew as much as you do but I think I am always a little lost in the stories which appear in my dreams. I always fear they will not be true and it is frightening." he chuckled in an airy wispery manner and shook his thick mane out. "Obviously todays story was true, perhaps as you say, they all are I just have to find out who the story belongs to."

Kule nodded. "Exactly! Every story has an ending. It may be happy, it may be sad, but it's still an ending. In your case I think that the ending would involve you finding what you need. And even if you don't find it, the journey is still important. You could always tell a story about your journey." She hoped he wouldn't feel so lost by the end of his story. Being lost wasn't a nice feeling, especially if you wanted to be found.

When he called her wise the young lioness smiled shyly, looking away as her tail swished behind her. Her? Wise? She had never had anyone call her that before. It was very flattering. "I don't think I know a lot, but I'm always happy to offer advice or help to anyone who needs it. After growing up with my sisters, I'm used to being around others and trying to make them happy." She nodded again at Abiona's words. "I think you'll be able to find them out. You're very smart too, so you'll find the truth. You just have to believe in yourself."
