The person behind the mask of white...
Name: Saito Akemi Gender: Female Age: One should not ask a lady what her age is. Race: Japanese
Family Father: Mother: Siblings?: Children?: No.
Physical Description Height: Weight: Eye Color: Black Hair Color: Dark brown Physical Description:
Personality Personality: A personality reminiscent of the ocean that kisses the shores of Japan, Akemi is most often seen in the gardens, calm and cool, pleasant and delightful to be around. However rare it is, once her temper is risen, much like the ocean it is very difficult to get it back under control. Due to this, she has worked hard at becoming a Shirabyoshi through which she has learned patience and grace, qualities that as a youth eluded her. Around younger children, particularly the new maids, she is most likely to be seen in a good humor, lightly teasing, but always trying to help guide them towards their futures as Shirabyoshi like herself. All in all Akemi is a kind, generous person with wisdom earned through her time in training and a grace and poise that serve her well both in life and in her career. Mentality: Likes: Dislikes:

There are those we meet and never forget...
Currently, Akemi has not met any of her fellow Shirabyoshi, the hopefuls, the samurai, or the nobles. She would love to start meeting people, though.
...and then there are those we meet and would like to forget.

A Misfortunate and Untimely Bath The summer air was just cool enough for a long stroll through the garden earlier this evening, and so it had been with great pleasure that I went to take a stroll through my favorite area of the garden. In a turn of grave misfortune, that same spot just so happens to contain a beautiful koi pond, where the koi are very friendly and I enjoy spending much of my freetime there. And so it was that while humming a song I had been practicing only moments earlier I had slowly and carefully wound my way towards this pond to rest and reflect. One of the white and orange fish was abnormally friendly and was swimming up to me and poking its head out of the water in a manner that seemed to demand that I pet him. The gardens were quiet and peaceful, and I did not suspect anyone would be crashing about, so I knelt down next to the water and reached out to pet the friendly koi. In a turn of bad luck, someone came crashing through some of the brushes with a cry of outrage, as if something horrible was going to happen to them - or to me - and while I am normally a very graceful Shirabyoshi...I must admit, I fell quite...gracefully into the water, right next to the koi fish I'd only just been attempting to pet! The fish seemed to think this was a wonderful idea, and I found myself being nudged by two or three of them, as if they were trying to say it was quite all right that I was in their pond.
While I love warm baths...surprise baths in ponds full of fish and goodness knows what else are, on the other hand, entirely not pleasant things. I regret that I reacted in a furious manner towards the poor youth who had crashed through the brush, but as soon as I had extricated myself from the pond, I lashed out at him and gave him quite the lecture I doubt he'll ever forget about how as an aspiring samurai, he should not be running around with a stick and scaring the ladies. I feel guilty for using such harsh words with him, but I had been wearing a favorite robe of mine when I fell in and I'm afraid it may now be ruined. Still, though, I should not have yelled so...perhaps tomorrow when I go on my walk he will be practicing in there again. Maybe I can make up for my harsh words (and maybe he will make up for the ruining of my favorite robe).
