It's been a long time since Gabriel just went out with his ducks with no little ones running around. He went to a small pond close to some of Gaia's more well known shops in Barton . He watched his ducks swim around. The pond didn't seem to be so popular but Gabriel and his little pals loved it. They had huge coy fish at the bottom of the pond. So Gabriel had to keep a close eye to make sure no one wanted to try to eat a quarter ponder.
He could see some people by the shops and he watched them as they walked pass. He liked to watch people and see what he liked about them and what he didn't. He saw a mom holding her baby caring and loving on her. He saw a mom squeezing the hand of her child. She was scolding him and it made Gabriel uncomfertable. He saw a man eating the ugliest hamburger in the world and slopping it on himself , then a lady ran passed him eating a carrot and listening to music.
He soon saw his ducks watching one of the smaller fish , so he got up and watched them. He smacked his front where there snacks where and they got the pitcher.
Life was looking good.

It must have been peaceful sitting next to the pond. At least until a large orangey-bronze shape barreled into the water. Although the pond was barely big enough to fit the dragon, Apala didn't let that stop him as he splashed around. For once the uptight dragon was acting close to his real age (well, relatively).
"Apaaalaaa," whined a voice from nearby. Aysel stood several feet away, clearly in the safe zone from her dragon's splashes. "Stop playing around. You're making everything... wet," The girl wrinkled her nose at the mere suggestion.
"But it is fun, and you never take me swimming." Apala protested in draconic.
Aysel glared at her partner getting the gist of his protest despite not understanding a word. "Get. Out." The girl insisted.

Gabriel must of been watching the man finish eating his hamburger when the dragon splashed in the water. He quickly started to count his ducks. "One , Two , Three ..... wheres the forth " he ran up to the four armed women. In a normal situation he would of noticed how beautiful she was but it wasn't normal and he didn't.
" I can't seem to find one of my ducks!" he said to the girl frantically" Have you seen him?". Ticker , Kyle , and Trista seemed to be looking for him too. He ran passed the girl with out even getting an answer " Gunner , where are you" Gabriel shouted. He did a lap around the pond walking back to her " Have you seen him , just a little duck green and brown " he was almost crying.

The preteen took a step back startled. "Um.. No." Aysel muttered in reply, wondering if this was one of those crazies that everyone seemed to warn her off.
"Missing Duck?" Apala asked, much better at understanding English than speaking it. The bronze carefully waded out of the water and shook himself off, checking for the duck as he was at it.

A duck went flying into the air , landed on his little ducky bummy as the dragon shaked. Gabriel was startled by the dragon talking but saw his duck fly through the air and ran towards him. " Are you ok Gunner " he asked as he picked him up. Soon his brothers and sister ran up to Gabriel all happy and quacking.
All of sudden Gabriel put a mental puzzle together: A girl who looked like she was part moth , and a dragon , they seem to know each other. She was from d-corp. " Ok calm down Gabriel just ask , don't freak out , just ask the simple question" he thought to himself. He dusted off the duck as he walked close to the women. " Are you from D-corp" he asked then went on " My name is Gabriel" he reached out his hand.
The three none dazed ducks looked at the dragon with glares and cockyness and one of them wanted to hiss but it didn't since he knew the dragon could eat him up like 'thin wheat'.

Apala scrambled backwards in surprise as the duck managed to fly off of him somehow. Bowing his head to four ducks, the bronze rumbled an apology. Please forgive my actions. the young dragon begged, embarrasment at his loss of decorm practically rolling off him.
Startled, and more than a little suspicious, at the man's sudden question Aysel took a step back. Ignoring the hand, she gestured to Apala. "Pala," she muttered urgently.
The bronze looked up and took a deep breath, bristling. "I here," he reassured his partner as he took one threatening step forward.

Gabriel saw the shock on the girls face " I have two kids from D-corp Ryan and Ro-Honda" he put down the duck, then took out a family photo from his dark green wallet " thats them the grayish red kids" he said with a warm smile.
The ducks saw Gabriel take out the photo and forgot about the dragon and ran up to him.

Aysel nodded warily, taking a step back. The guy still seemed like a weirdo. "Um.. I'm Aysel...." the girl finally replied, glancing at the picture.
Apala hurried towards his partner's side, standing next to the luna moth as aggressively as possible. Too bad Apala couldn't fly yet or the dragon would have scooped up Aysel and darted away through the skies.

It was clear that Gabriel wasn't winning with the girl " Im sorry , my ducks are my first babies". He sat down next to a near by bench where he called his ducks up. Each one of them flapped up and sat on his legs. " I remember when I first got my ducks , I thought they where a bunch of responsibility" he softly chuckled. " Times do change , Ryan and Ro will be going to school at D-corp soon" he said.
" Its kind of nice to see an active member of D-corp out and about , So what are the schools like". He tryed to give her sensitive eye contacted , and not to be to over powering.

Aysel stood around awkwardly. After his strong first impression, the man was slowly becoming less frightening. Apala on the other hand, still mistrusted the man.
"Um.. Classes aren't bad.." the girl shrugged. "Mr. Orpheus has a fun skills class but the dragon classes are a little boring."
Apala butted in, "Are not."
The luna moth blinked. "Are too."
"Not."
"Yes they *are*. If you got to do something maybe they wouldn't be so boring," Aysel argued back.
"Like learning," Apala insisted, sticking up for the single class they had together. Aysel rolled her eyes and shrugged at the man.

He looked at them with a soft smile " well it seems you two are pretty close." He looked down at his ducks " I use to chase these guys all the time" he patted Trista head " but now they’re pretty good , other than when there climbing all over dragons."
Gabriel looked down at his watch, he realized it was time to go " Well here's my number " he got back out his wallet to get that card out. He scouted the ducks off him. " Maybe you could come over some time , I live on a huge farm with tons of peach and apple trees, I actually live really close to D-corp maybe about twenty minutes away." He smiled.
"My e-mail , phone number , and house phone is on the card , I always need a good baby sitter". He figured if the girl could watch a dragon she could watch Ryan and Ro . He waved to her and walked off.
