((mostly a cinematic post to work the battle between Earth and the Kore. Will likely be used at some juncture for actual RPing later, but for now it's mostly for show))
Jarred sat in a public bar, outside a busy street. He was dressed in a formal suit, though his hair was no less cluttered than usual. The governmental proceedings were in a recess for the next two hours, and he needed a drink. He had been arguing against the case of 'Let the Kore do their thing, it doesn't concern us", and for the "Let's bomb the living a** out of them, it will be fun" case. Emperor Dunham was on his side, but Emperor wasn't a realistic title for his office, so the case had to be fought either way. Jarred spun one of those tiny umbrellas between his teeth, leaning his back against the bar. He checked his PDA, paid for his drink, and left.
"Sir, long range have confirmed. The Kore is mobile and moving towards Earth. They're in force, sir."
A military man nodded, watching the readout in front of him. The base was on the light side of the moon currently, it and a handful others tasked with the moon's defenses and sensor arrays, both of which near covered the orb in the sky. "Hail them, give them a warning, and when they do nothing, redirect Apollo 3-7."

The Kore forces moved at a steady pace, a massive fleet, composed of hunter and kore ships alike.
General Bryne stared out at the display of earth and its moon station in front of him, offset by the darkness of space. "Still a beautiful planet," He said to himself, but shook his head slightly. "It would have done them well to be less troublesome." He looked to one of his officers. "Prepare the defenses, have the missile units ready, we will likely be dealing with nukes and other crass methods of warfare." He smiled, knowing hunter technology would be a true help in the battle. "They should be hailing us soon."

The screen lit up in front of Bryne, showing the military man's face. "This is Colonel John Freinz of the Empire. Officially, you are to pull back to a minimum of Venus' orbit and await further instructions. Unofficially, you bastards are late for your own party. You really gonna try and take on Earth? Because it looks like you left some toys at home."

As according to the code's rules of warfare, all civilians who wish to leave the planet peacefully, may do so. Otherwise we are not responsible for those who stay and are caught in the crossfire."

Jarred's PDA promptly began chirping, showing that Eric was trying to get in touch with him.

On Bryne's ship, another channel opened, this one showing a pair of dull blue orbs on an off white oval staring back. "This was not the plan. What you are attempting to do is irrelevant. Pull back all your forces, victory is impossible."

"Well, we're here to stay, so send what you got. At least it will make for a good light show." The link was severed, the screen going dark.
"Private, target one of their flag ships and make it two." Frienz nodded to one of the men before a computer.
On the light side of the moon, a series of mirrors adjusted themselves, taking in the light of the sun from various points, focusing and refocusing it into a tiny beam for each Apollo array. The beams shot out at the Kore fleet, each beam no larger than a bus, but concentrated from an original mirror a city wide.

You are a tool, along with all other forms of machinery. My superiors have been terminated, other than Lankin himself, and for now it is better to keep that bit of information as tightly controlled as possible. Until I hear word from Lankin, the attack continues."

((Oops, sorry, missed Steube's post))
Jarred was busy smiling wide, noting the update from Sara on the arrival of the Kore when he got the call. Not that the populace was aware yet of the Kore's attack, but he was privy to more than most. He answered the call, holstering his PDA. "What's up Eric? How goes the good fight? Might want to be careful in reentry, Or-Kay are moving towards the Oon-May."

Should the battle go as poorly as predicted, I withdraw any and all Hunter support you have. I repeat; It is in your best interests to withdraw to the aforementioned orbit and issue full retreat and fall back to Osis."

(Edit:Looks like no more hunter support for Bryne...damned)
Bryne shut off the communication with Gates, turning instead to the immediate problem ahead. The war had begun. He made the signal and the fleet went into immediate action.
Swarms of fighters moved out of the dying flagship as well as the other flagships, some attacking the moonstation, while other groups flew in towards earth.

Drink a beer for me, I got some shitty news, and I think it'd be better for my health if you were hammered when I get earthside."

"Then pull out and tell me yourself. Earth can handle this fight. I've been holding contracts with the army since before I could drink, they can handle this. Just get back in one piece."
"Engage remaining Apollo's and activate Bubble Drones. Withdraw Solar Arrays and ready Flak Loads." Frienz barked out orders, the men around him bustling and typing. "Fire at will."
Outside the remaining mirrors facing the sun began to move, reflecting the light, some staying in their concentrated beams, others branching out, sending multiple smaller beams after the smaller fighters. In a larger orbit, beyond the moons but short of Mars', Hundreds of orbs, each the size of a small building activated, a mirrored shell shedding, revealing a clear bubble, filled with what looked like thousands upon thousands of tinier metal balls, all in a lattice. As the ships moved in closer, the nearest Bubble Drone targeted it, magnetically propelling one of the metal balls at it, reaching tremendous speeds, moving on to the next fighter, each drone firing rounds automatically with deadly precision.

The Kore ships were dropping like flies, but there were plenty of flies to go around. (And godamnit I can't think of any nifty defenses at the moment). Mists of small spider bots were released from the ships, all of them flying at top speed towards the moon station.
