John Morrison came out to his theme with a determined look on his face. He was on a bit of a roll here in FFA and was glad to get his shot at a title. He got on the apron and in the ring, taking off his coat. He dropped it over the top rope to the announcer and awaited the presense of Matt Shanahan.

The lights shut off the arena, giving a signal that someone was about to come out. Or the power went out, either way... A slow whirling sound began to play through-out the arena, steadily getting faster and faster... 'Spit It Out' by Slipknot began to play as the lights came back on in a blood-red hue, and the titantron showed a spinning pentagram. Matt Shanahan walked out from behind the curtain, carrying his FFA:US Title in his right hand, and his 'Punkville Slugger' in his left. He walked down the ramp and slid into the ring. Matt climbed up to his feet and smirked at Morrison, before handing off his title to the ref. He tossed his bat to the outside and paced in his corner, waiting for the bell.

Morrison was watching Matt from accross the ring, hearing the bell sound behind him. Morrison would try and gte a lock-up going with Shanahan.

Matt accepted the lock-up, and attempted to go for a cheap knee to the gut!

Morrison was caught in the mid section and dropped to one knee after the impact.

Matt then attempted to kick Morrison in the side of the gut, wanting to drive him all the way down.

JoMo would fall to the mat prone after the second kick, it was rare to see John getting kicked rather than doing the kicking.

Matt laughed at 'JoMo' and went for a stomp to the face, wanting to continue the assault!

Morrison was caught in the face and would roll away from the defending champion holding his jaw. WE don't allow kicks to the face at the Palace of Wisdom.

The Palace of Wisdom may not allow kicks to the face, but there are no rules in the House of Punkism. Matt went to stop Morrison from rolling away by grabbing his arm and pulling him back onto his back. If successful, he would attempt to mount on him and send some punches to the face!

JoMo would cover up out of instinct as the ref's count could be heard, but not seen. At least not by Morrison.

Matt continued the punches until the count got to 4. He then stood up and backed away, waiting for Morrison to stand.

John would start to get up to his feet a little wobbly, not really having gotten out of the gate as of yet.
