Who do you think would play Rand? Or any other character for that matter. Since this is a discussion, I guess explanations on your opinions would be cool.

Well, to start with, are we doing ALL the books like Harry Potter? Or just like one or two?
Galad = Tom Cruise. Yes, I know Tom is a bit old for the part, but...
I could see Kirsten Dunst playing Elayne.

Uma Thurman with brown hair would be awesome as Nynaeve, but she may be getting a bit old for the part.

I don't think WOT can be made into a movie. It's to epic and to long. It would take at least a decade for it to be even a shadow of the plot and depth the books give. Also each movie would be like 4 and 1 half hours long. It would be awesome though.

Wheel of Time will not be made into a movie. Its rights have been purchased to me made into a miniseries by NBC has purchased an option to do a miniseries of "The Eye of the World."
Robert Jordan is quoted as saying, "Most options are not exercised, however. If you want NBC to make the miniseries, write to them and say "make the miniseries of 'The Eye of the World.' "
It is rather disappointing to me to think that only EotW has been purchased, but I think the others may have as well, I am not sure. In any case, my thoughts for characters are:
Rand: I don't know, but the person should be someone young and not over-used.
Thom: Christopher Lloyd (The old guy from "Back to the Future")
Mat: Sean William Scott might be good, I dunno.
I think that Kimberly Williams would be great for Minn or Edgwene.
Cillian Murphy for Galad (if he dyed his hair black).

I think EOTW would be good as a stand-alone though, since the end appears to be pretty conclusive (until you read more!!)

I do wish that there could be like, a jumbo miniseries (A maxiseries?) that covers all of them, but then it would have to be just huge in order to have a satisfying amount of detail.

uma turman? shes way to pretty, nayneva is so plain tho..i mean shes prety, but not THAT pretty. we need an azn to play Faile though...I WANNA BE FAILE! though iw ant to make out with perrin...>_<

yeh well i read that there was a animation for the WoT series that started in like 2002 i think...but yeh...the guy from Smallville who plays the young superman...i think he shuld be Rand...he can go from nice to scary in an instant...that guy is kewl...or...d*mn! I cant remember the other guys name...are all the characters white? i mean are some asian and some african?
