There's a very good chance that the ever popular former WWE diva Trish Stratus could be working at Wrestlemania 25.

Lately, the women's division in WWE has become an afterthought.

There's not a particular feud on Raw or Smackdown that has fans interested whatsoever.

WWE is looking to keep with tradition and provide a divas match at Wrestlemania 25 however.

So, without a good feud already built up or a diva that's full of momentum right now, WWE is looking elsewhere.

They're looking into the past. They've reached out to former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus.

Worthy Opponent

Once WWE secures the services of Trish Stratus for Wrestlemania 25, they're going to need to find a worthy opponent for her.

Let's take a look at some of the female performers that can be matched with her.

Beth Phoenix - WWE did a pretty good job with building up Beth Phoenix as a monster heel. However, they simply ran out of opponents for her. Trish Stratus would be a fresh matchup, and the rub would elevate Beth Phoenix even more.


Michelle McCool - WWE attempted to build up Michelle McCool as the alpha female on the Smackdown brand. Now that she's a heel, a match against Trish Stratus is a possibility.


Melina - Melina is the current WWE Women's Champion and she does have a history with Trish Stratus.


Natalya - This would be a dream match for the internet wrestling community. For the other wrestling fans, though, it would require quite a bit of building up first.
Helping Hand

Out of those candidates, the most likely person to get a match against Trish Stratus is Michelle McCool.

Undertaker has been pushing management really hard to get his girlfriend a match at Wrestlemania 25.

Considering just how much stroke the Undertaker has with management and considering how there's not a sure fire divas match available, the odds of Michelle McCool getting the match are pretty good.

If Undertaker can somehow convince management to let Michelle McCool beat Trish Stratus in the match, then we'll really know just how much power he has.

Closing Thoughts

Trish Stratus is still gorgeous, and she can still work a match better than a lot of the current group of divas. With that in mind, I'm definitely not opposed to seeing her at Wrestlemania 25.
