I've been playing Pokemon all day long. smile That's a few years ago. 3nodding Ha,ha blaugh The agony to train my pokemon until it reaches level 100 makes me satisfied when it come to an end. xd Whatever it is, I do believe that Pokemon now is getting quite lame... neutral

I'm not a fan of Pokemon at all. Personally, I think having so many similar games is repetitive and boring.

That's why I only play Emerald and Ruby, and only that because my Ruby game has a Dex of 197/201. The only real difference between the different regions are legendaries, rares and the storyline - even though it always revolves around the hero/heroine saving the world from evil Team ______.

I've also played Dungeon and Ranger, and they're a welcome change from repetitive walk-battle-walk games.

Ranger is like being a friend to Pokemon, and you actually get to see your party walking with you, in actual size and all, and you can collect whichever of your favourites from any of the Johto-Kanto-Hoenn regions without the hassle of raising, evolving and levelling. The newest Ranger game also lets you choose from any of 20-something different starters, or Partner Pokemon. The Capture technique is also startlingly new, given that Pokemon Co. and Gamefreak are sticklers from staying with the original of a game. What I like best is not having to walk either left, right, up or down, but rather choosing wherever you want to go. I still play my good ol' Ranger original version.

Dungeon is awesome in that you are a Pokemon. Except for the fact that once you finish the game there's nothing really to do, it's amazingly fun to start with, with the interactive maps and Friend Pokemon. I tired of it quickly though, and having to collect each Pokemon in each of its evolutionary stages was boring to the extreme. I still play Dungeon, but on VBA.

I've recently been playing my Ruby game all day long - but I'm trying to finish my Dex so I'm being a bit lame and anti-social to try and finish it. Pokemon could never really grow old for me, just because of the nostalgia - I still have my original Red, Blue and Yellow versions! - but having a dedicated group of my old primary friends who play it also makes it fun. We stuff around, mix Pokeblocks, battle, find each other's Secret Bases, compare Dexes and trade - the whole notion of playing Pokemon with someone else is what makes it fun for me.

Kanto Pokemon forever. I loved my reliable Charizard, Genghis, and my Tyranitar, Grummpy. And my Vileplume, Lorenzo, and my three legendaries, Xander the Mewtwo, Skippy the Zapdos and Harold the Articuno. I did have a Moltres called Lara but she was traded for Grummpy.

Yes, I nickname my Pokemon.

But Hoenn Pokemon are so easy to remember! I mean, there's 201 of them but they're so robotic and mechanical and so un-lifelike that you can recognise their sticky movements and those creepy sounds instantly.

I'm playing Emerald right now - the only thing that keeps me going is my Berry Garden and defeating Frontier! Otherwise, I'll go back to good old Pokemon Yellow.
