here we go... Title: Journey to Hope Medium: cut paper arranged on scanner smile ((I don't have a digital camera so I had to use the scanner hope having to flip and resize digitally is ok... )) image links to larger version. same thing except with a background that I had done some cut and paste on for a further story. Writing done in crayon "From fire to hope" and my screen name. I worked hard on it till the glue decided to stop working which is why I did the scanner only version.

Materials: Hangers of various sorts and twisty ties. Interesting facts: * It stands on all four 'hooves' on its own, and the antlers also stand on their own, with only twisty ties to secure them. *Although it technically has no belly, it does indeed have a cute lil bobtail! (All images lead to larger versions.) Then, just for fun, I put a cat-sized stuffed toy in to be his 'mountain lion' companion, and to prove that it's sturdy enough to bear weight. Don't they look chummy?

Name: Nuclearity Materials: Twigs I found outside, Green suede cord, knife, scissors Meaning behind entry: I considered the materials native americans might use to portray this new species out of the ones I had available. This item would be a totem or a child's toy. Process (for anyone that's curious): I gathered several twigs of varying widths from my backyard, nothing special. I then gathered my materials [suede cord, scissors, knife]. Choosing the thickest branch for the body, I snapped it to a preferable length, using my knife to cut a slit in the "front" for the head/neck to fit and splintered the "back" to appear like a deer's tail. For the legs, I selected thin but sturdy twigs, snapped them to measure approximately the same and chiseled off the majority of the middles to better bend them and make a space for the body to fit. For the head, I selected a twig that I realized was very fitting because it appeared to have an eye and branched off into two parts, giving the impression of antlers. I wrapped the bottom legs around the body, near the tail, and bound them to it with the cord. Then I did the same for the top, using the same piece of cord for the whole body. I inserted the head, after chiseling away the inserted part to be thinner, into the aforementioned slot, and fastened it with the cord. Then, to finish it off, I evened out the leg length.(pardon the messiness of my table >w<)

Name: Aniira All natural components! How do I know this? Because I'm the one that went out in the woods in below-freezing weather to gather the ingredients. xD Clay, Sticks, Grass, Pebbles, Gemstones, Dirt... whatever you want, he's got it. I suppose it represents the wildness of deer.
