Supposedly at least.
So last summer there was this guy, Riley, that I liked. I still like him, actually. It all started a few years ago, I started paying attention to him more than usual and boom, I developed a crush on him. I don't really know why, I've known him for so long and all of a sudden I like him. It was a confusing time, heheh. Anyway, last year it was pretty much the same. I went to camp, made awesome friends, hung out with old friends, etc. I knew Riley liked me for a while, of that I'm sure. He still does, probably. He's liked me for a three years now and long term crushes are hard to forget. So last summer he was at camp again, but there was this one girl named Melanie, and just to shorten it, here is what she'd do.
Example #1- Boy meets girl. Girl likes boy. Boy likes girl. Melanie comes along outta nowhere. Melanie sees that boy likes girl, and guesses that girl likes boy as well. Melanie decides to act disgustingly jealous and steal boy from girl.
The End.

Well, that happened to us. [Riley and I.] Except, I could tell he still liked me by the end of the summer. There was the usual staring and not looking at me when he said anything to me. And the talking to my friends about me, giving hints of who he liked to guy friends. [All hints that would lead to me, blue eyes, curly hair, etc.] The only reason why I know about that is because my friend, Melody, has an ear for gossip, and she decided to do some research for me. I didn't really ask her, she just wanted to because she wanted to prove he still had a crush on me. But the thing is, he liked Melanie too. Maybe he still does. But I don't know. This summer is the last summer everyone in our age group gets to spend as "campers." And even though Melanie is a year older than us, she is able to be a "camper" next year as well. See, you can be one for an extra year, but after that, you gotta go. So yeah. If she comes, what could I do? I'm not that great with guys, and I'm super-shy. ... Bleh.
