I wanna know, who would you rather Franchise? Big Julius or Big Ole' Jordan Gross? Me personally, would Franchise Big Ole' Jordan Gross since he is the one who opens up the most holes in the O-Line for DeAngelo and Stewart to get through. So, who would be your choice?

Definitely Jordan Gross, I think you can replace Peppers with a Everette Brown or a Jerry Hughes. But Gross is a staple of that O-Line and would be very hard to replace.

You don't let go of a tackle, especially a really good one. Defensive Ends are replaceable. He's good, but there are a ton of good ones in the NFL. Really good tackles are hard to come by.

It was smart for the Panthers to franchise Peppers, and sign Gross to a long term deal. That way, you keep one of the best current offensive lineman, and you have Peppers under your control. Carolina will probably trade Peppers, and they can get a lot of value for him.

However I think they'll go for a WR to match with Steve Smith considering Mushin Muhammad retiring soon most likely. Which could leave the door open for a WR like Anquan Boldin, the Cards need a valuable DE.

That trade might benefit both teams, from a positional standpoint, but the Cardinals would have to take on an even bigger contract than Boldin, by taking Peppers. ...And I don't know who Peppers thinks he is, by making a "list" of four teams that he wants to get traded to... rolleyes

I've never thought Peppers was all that great, he's good but not even as good as a Osi Umenyoira. Of-course nothing against Osi.

It's a shame to see him make over $16 million this season, and be the highest paid defensive player. Defensive lineman are making a bit too much nowadays. And I missed Osi last season. Even though we lost Spagnuolo, I think that the Giants' defense will still do really well, especially in the pass rush. We just need to boost up our secondary, and get some linebackers that can play in coverage...

You guys lost Strahan and Umenyoira emerged, you lost him and Tuck emerged when Tuck started getting doubled Kiwanuka emerged, it's like they defensive ends just kept coming!

Overall i think they should trade Peppers, he may only have like 2 or 3 years left in him, plus it isn't like he has been doing as good as he was back in the day. Carolina has meny options but the one i would do is trade Peppers for Boldin. If that can't happen i would trade him for Colt Brennan and some d-line or o-line guy from washington, Carolina will need a QB in the future Delhomme is getting old and the Tommy John surgery their is no way he will be around much longer.

The Panthers worked this the best way possiable. Peppers wouldnt sign a deal, so they were forced to use the tag on him. Gross was willing to sign a deal, so there was no need to tag him. In the event they both refused to sign a deal, you would have to choose to franchise gross, hes too valuable, espically for that RB tandom.
