So I pissed off my mom by not changing the bottom of the bird cage and she took that epic concert away from me. Even though I bought the ticket for me and my friend.
Wow, she's SO cool.

Oh, did I mention she keeps threatening to take way the Pagan Knights concert from me as well? Which she and her friend have tickets to go AND IT'S MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT. I walk in to sit on the couch by her, she has Aiden out. I sit down and she says "do you hear that I have Jury duty?" I said, "Yeah, I Heard it the first 4 times you mentioned it tonight." So she makes a face at me, and turns to Aiden who is by her face demanding attention and says "No Bite". (he's into the habit of disciplining his women when we dont give him the proper attention). I then say "Bite her Aiden, go on!"
She looks at Aiden and says " Nope, she'll never see Tyr." So I give her a dirty look and leave the room.
MY dad told me if I "stay on top of things" I'll get the concert back, but I'm one inch away from telling her exactly how I feel. It didnt matter tht we had no vinger to clean the cages with until after dark last night.
Can you say killjoy?

I don't know what to really think about yor parents. When you talk about them they seem really cool. But then there comes a situation like this and your mom like changes into a completely different person... Jesus...

mine are...except im a bitsy too old to except punishment...specially stuff i paid for...i mean...that is my money...its either going there or paying back the ticket...
i just cant give you any real advice because they make the rules...and you dont want a useless war in your own house...maybe just try to approach it in a calm way....by just asking her why she is actually taking the ticket away....because naturally it is not helping either of you getting along. so maybe that would be a good reason not to take stuff like that away....maybe by just telling that you forgot the bird cage or what other things it might improve the whole mood in the house.... i have no clue if it would work because i dont know your mom but maybe its worth the shot.....good luck

this is what parents do. when/if you have kids, you'll do the same thing. at least they're not whipping you with a belt like my grandparents (on both sides) used to do to their children.

@ Mega: sweatdrop whipping with a belt crying my grandparents whipped us with this "buntot ng pagi" which means "tail of a sting ray". When 1 person misbehaved, everyone gets a whipping, it wasn't fair cause I never did anything wrong emo I know it seems pretty harsh but that's how it was back in those days...
@ Hollow: I hope you get your concert tickets back, you deserve to go 3nodding

@ Hollow: I hope you get your concert tickets back, you deserve to go 3nodding indeed, that is how things were back in the day. hell, when my dad was in school, teachers were allowed to beat kids with paddles. my grandfather told him that if he ever heard about my dad getting beat by a teacher at school, he'd beat my dad even worse when he got home. they should bring that back. kids were more respectful of their elders back when their elders could smack the s**t out of them. nowadays, it seems like if you even raise your voice above a certain decibel level the government comes to take your kids away from you.

Parents of teenagers hate watching their power over them slowly slip away. It's kind of sad really.

I'm sorry to hear that Hollow. *hug* I hope she changes her mind though before the show.
Me and my brother were smacked across our bums if we misbehaved. We learnt our lessons quick. I think youth these days needs more discipline and whipping to keep them in order. It's horrible the way some kids behave towards older people/random people on the street. They'd probably not start drinking and smoking and doing other stupid things either at the age of 10 like they do now. D:
Dad said his teachers were allowed to hit the students across their fingers if they misbehaved with the uh, pointing stick they always carry around. The long wooden stick that they point the blackboard with.

I told her the reason that I didnt clean the cage yesterday was that we didn't have vinger in the house to clean them with until after dark. She just kept saying "uh-huh". Not even hearing a word that I was saying. She's taking the fact that she has jury duty out on me and it's ridiculous. She said to my dad "It's not like I'm taking Turisas away." Well guess what? Turisas is NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. I"VE SEEN THEM 3 TIMES. MAY THIS FREAKING CONCERT IS SOMETHING I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TOO FOR 2 MONTHS. MAYBE IT'S A BIGGER DEAL THAN TURISAS.
She thinks just because I didn't tell her how excited I am, that it's not a big deal. My dad says too cool it and maybe she'll come around. In her "love" not, she told me to tell my friend that he had another ticket to give away because I"M NOT GOING.
She makes me so livid sometimes, it's not even funny. I am so ...... livid.
