So you want to join the guild, but you've been rejected by the captain/mods, or you want a good chance of getting in.
This will help you know what we look for.
*Don't brag about past experiences. We really don't care how 'kewl' you are.
*Good character is always a plus.
*Good punctuation, and spelling. This isn't totally essential but it will help alot.
*Sound intelligent. It's ok if you're random sometimes, but dont over-do it.
*If someone referred you to here, give us their name.
*Do not PM me, or any of the guild mods about joining. I have declined entries for this alone.
*And of course, read the front page well. Always include some bands, and genres that you like.
*Please don't claim that you work for a record company unless you can provide concrete evidence of this.
*Don't put smart a** remarks in your request like, "I don't really care if you accept me." If you don't care, why are you trying to join? Or something like, "Adding me is your choice". I know it is my choice. I don't need anyone reminding me of this.
*Follow the rules. No Nu-Metal. I don't need to know what Nu-Metal bands you like. And if you believe that Nu-Metal is metal, then you don't belong here.
*Please don't tell me how much we need you. If we needed you, we'd have invited you.
*If you show obvious evidence that you haven't read the home page, the rules, or this page, you'll be denied.
Following all of these will not assure your acceptance, but it will help alot.

But everyone knows it was Paul Day who was the original Maiden-singer. pirate Edit: I think mods should post more good examples of stupidity. My exploits of the day: Request denied... Yawn... I've seen pop lyrics with more creativity... Denied. FoxGirl259 metal is my fav kind of music!! itd b great to b in here I love the enthusiasm. Examples? How do I know you even know what metal really is? And is the word "be" really so hard to spell? Denied. Lol. Classic... Denied!

I thought it was Paul Di'Anno that originally sang for Maiden. It claims that in the Essential CD. He did Phontom of the Opera in the self titled album which is there first album or am I wrong?

Iron Maiden already existed before they released the "Iron Maiden" album, it was started in 1975, Steve has always been the man behind Maiden(main songwriter and producer), but back in 1975 Maiden had another setup, of the which Paul Days was the singer, Di'Anno joined in 1978... they changed singers like 2 or 3 times from Days to Di'Anno.

New example of how to be declined: dearlydemented2323 well my name is alexandra i think you should accept me because i love metal dude my fav band is ARch enemy!!!!!!! i also love lamb of god bleeding through gwar lacuna coil SLIPKNOT murder dolls and alot more v.v; Some will never learn. I love pantera andmetallica. my fav.guitarist is dime bag darrel.my fav. song is master of the puppets and ozzys miracle man.ac dc is also another of my fav. bands. angus young school boy outifit. i knw you might not be considered metal but i love them.
I declined this one for a few reasons..
Pantera and Metallica are two of the most commercial metal bands around now and this person probably doesn't know many others..Besides, it was only 2 1/2 metal bands. Ozzy only counts as half. xD

Great-1 whats up man. i hope you let me in. so this is why i want to join. metal and rock is my life. i play the bass guitar and my favorite band is mudvayne and godsmack. my favorite bassist is cliff burton and guitarist is dimebag. that is all i have to say. thanx for your time. later!!!!!!!!!
