Valentine's Day
Nalini: *is at home, sleeping and dreaming of what she thinks is tomorrow but is actually that night*
Kayne: *waiting by the pond*
Nalini: *still sleeping*
Kayne: *getting really nervous and wondering why Nalini hasn't come to the pond...feeling a tad betrayed but quickly reminds himself that Nalini isn't the type to do that. Wonders if she's hurt or if something happened to her. Starting to get worried. Figeting*
Nalini: *sleeping behind a bush along the path to the clearing from the pond*
Kayne: *gets up and starts to wonder around the area by the pond, towards the direction he usually sees Nalini come, and wonders where she could be*
Kayne: *switches from looking and waiting, looking and waiting, slowly dragging himself along, finally gettting tired and resting by a bush*
Nalini: *tail flicks from one side to the other, actually visible now*
Kayne: *hears some rustling from her tail and turns his attention towards it* o.o; N...Nalini??
Nalini: *stirs a little, but doesn't wake up*
Kayne: Nalini!? Are you okay? o.o Why are you sleeping here...*prods her gently*
Nalini: *stirs more, eyes almost opening before drifting back shut*
Kayne: *prods her a little more roughly, but still gentle* Nalini...?
Nalini: *blinks awake* Huh? Wha? *looks around sleepily* Kayne...? *clearly not all there yet*
Kayne: Nalini! o.o Are you okay?
Nalini: *stifles a yawn and rubs her eyes with her paws* What time is it? *looks around* I didn't sleep all the way through Valentine's Day, did I? O.O
Kayne: W...well...almost...
Nalini: Sorry! =( *looks genuinly upset*
Kayne: Wh...why are you sleeping...and here...?
Nalini: Um...I was worried I would oversleep so I...I decided to sleep here thinking that maybe I would wake up in time, or only just a little late... *sighs* I really don't like Winter. =(
Kayne: *blinks, confused* You...sleep during the winter?
Nalini: Sorta...I think I'm supposed to...but I'm a namir...and namrah don't hibernate...so I can fight it....at least a little.
Kayne: Wow...I didn't know...
Nalini: It's okay. I never told you. ^^; Maybe...maybe I should have...I just didn't know how to bring it up. >.>
Kayne: It's alright...b...but Valentines Day is almost over now...*hangs his head a little*
Nalini: Maybe we could just pretend...?
Kayne: *nods* Happy Valentines Day Nalini.
Nalini: Happy Valentine's Day Kayne. ^^ Oh, I got you some candy... *goes behind the bush and gets out a box of conversation hearts in a plastic bag* Wasn't sure if it was going to rain or not. =)
Kayne: *blushes and takes the bag* Thank you. *hands her the flower he had been carrying around while searching* And this is for you.
Nalini: Thank you. ^^ *happily takes the rose and sniffs it, thinking about putting it in a vase or something when she gets home* So what should we do now?
Kayne: How about we go swimming for a little while? ^^
Nalini: Okay. Sounds great. *smiles* I bet it'll be a bit warmer than last time since things seem to be warming up a bit. =)
Kayne: *smiles* Yeah. *heads towards the pond* I'm really glad I'm able to spend Valentines Day with you Nalini..
Nalini: *follows him* Same here. ^^ *glad he found her*
Kayne: At first I thought you must have changed your mind but....I'm glad I came to look for you.
Nalini: Oh, I would never do that. That would be cruel. D=
Kayne: W...well I knew that you wouldn't do something like that. You aren't like that. *smiles*
Nalini: *nods* And if the situation was reversed I would do the same thing- go and try to find you. Because you're not like that either. =)
Kayne: *smiles* That's good to know...
Nalini: *nods* Not sure if I'd find you, but hopefully I would. ^^ *probably would have looked in all the wrong places first*
*later on, in the pond*
Kayne: *swims around* So how was your week, Nalini?
Nalini: My week? It was pretty good. =) *thinks it was pretty interesting too* How was yours?
Kayne: It went pretty well. ^^ Glad that yours was good.
Nalini: Same here. ^^ *looks down under the water, spotting a school of fish, and raising her head about it again* I wonder what the fish think about winter.
Kayne: Hmm...*tilts his head* That's a good question I guess. What do they do when the water freezes?
Nalini: They probably just stay in the water. It doesn't usually freeze all the way through, after all.
Kayne: True true. I wonder if it's warmer down there?
Nalini: It might be. It's warmer under a blanket of snow than above it. I want to say no though. Simply because I've been in the water swimming when it had only a thin layer of ice over it and it was freezing. >.<
Kayne: *nods* Yeah. I guess we'd have to go down there to find out for sure. Down deep I mean.
Nalini: Aww, I should have checked that. I can hold my breath for a long time, and if I hadn't of just jumped out the water because it was cold I could have checked. Oh well. xD

Kayne: We can check now and see if it's warmer.
Nalini: Okay. =D *takes a breath and dives down, swimming toward the bottom with the swiftness of a Poliwag in water*
Kayne: *dives down too, easily keeping up with her swiftness*
Nalini: *settles along the bottom, waiting a moment to determine whether or not it is indeed warmer or not*
Kayne: *settles along the bottom too and looks at Nalini*
Nalini: *nods* ^^
Kayne: *nods too and smiles, and then starts to head for the surface*
Nalini: *follows*
Kayne: *comes out at the top and takes a breath* Wow, that was pretty cool ^^
Nalini: Yeah! =D I bet the fish stay close to the bottom to keep warm. ^^
Kayne: *nods* Yeah, so winter is probably no problem for them. ^^
Nalini: They probably don't even have to worry about food since all the fish will be on the bottom.
^^ Kayne: Yeah...things in nature have a good way of working out nicely it seems.
Nalini: If they didn't then they wouldn't have survived to this day. =3
Kayne: Yep! ^^ It's interesting to think about. And we fit in there with it too. It's all...the circle of life I guess? *chuckles*
Nalini: Yeah, The circle of life. ^^

Nalini: *smiles and swims around, not sure what to talk about at the moment*
Kayne: *not sure either...thinks*
Kayne: *goes to the edge and looks at the conversation hearts* I've never tasted these before...
Nalini: *swims over as well* They're pretty good. I think they're yummy. =D
Kayne: They say stuff on them o.o
Nalini: Yep! Cute little things. =3
Kayne: *reads one* Kiss me? o.o *blushes and sticks it back in the bag. >w<
Nalini: *overhears and giggles* Do you want me to? xD
Kayne: *blushes again* I...I was just...r..reading it...
Nalini: I know, I know. ^^
Kayne: Oh...^^; Right, of course.
Nalini: *swims up next to him and give him a little peck on the cheek* There you go. ^^
Kayne: *blushes again* o.o Wh...what was that for? *can't help but smile now*
Nalini: Nothing. I just felt like it. ^^ Gonna try one now? =)
Kayne: *smiles* Alright...*picks up another one* Be Mine. *eats it* Hmm...it's pretty good. ^^
Nalini: Yeah, they are. I think I had a whole pack of them at home when Sara first bought them. Kinda funny considering normally I don't like sugary things. ^^
Kayne: Yeah, these are pretty sugary. *chuckles* ^^
Nalini: *nods* Sugary sweet. ^^ Sara says that normally I'm so sweet that I can't accept any more sweetness, so that's why typically I get a headache from sugary things. That was back when I was a kit though, and I think she was just kidding around about the reason. ^^
Kayne: *smiles* Well you are very sweet. It's nice logic.
Nalini: Thank you. ^^ You're sweet too. =)
Kayne: *smiles and blushes a bit* Thanks ^^

Nalini: I'm glad it's nice and warm out. I missed going for a nice swim. ^^ *walking toward the clearing to more easily find the path home*
Kayne: *shuffling along beside her* Yeah, it's nice to swim in warmer water. ^^ The weather is prettier when it's warmer too.
Nalini: *nods* And I know a friend of mine who'll love the flowers come Spring.
Kayne: Really? Who's that?
Nalini: Someone named Fiala. She lives at the house.
Kayne: Cool. Will she be there now?
Nalini: She'll probably be asleep about now to be honest. =)
Kayne: Ooh...we wont wake anyone up will we? o.o
Nalini: *shakes her head* Not if we be quiet. ^^
Kayne: Alright. *smiles* ^^
Nalini: I wonder if anyone will be in the clearing. It is kinda late, but you never know. There're nocturnal namrah around. =)
Kayne: Yeah, there might be some
Nalini: We'll find out in a minute. *getting close to the clearing*
Kayne: *nods and shuffles along*
Nalini: *keeping pace with Kayne, and looks around at the clearing when she gets there* ...nope! No one. xD
Kayne: Oh well. XD I guess everyone is asleep o.o Or out doing something special. It is Valentines Day after all...
Nalini: Probably. =) *starts down along the path that will lead to her house*
Kayne: *follows her*
Nalini: This is the way to my house. ^^ *continues along*
Kayne: What kind of place do you live in?
Nalini: It's a human house. You know how some humans take namrah into their homes? Well, I live in one of those places. =) I'll move out later on, either when I don't feel like living there anymore or if I wind up being someone's life mate.
Kayne: *smiles* Neat, I've never been to a house before.
Nalini: Ah, so this will be your first time. Neat! =)
Kayne: *nods* I'm sure it's nice. Though...I don't think I could really live in one...
Nalini: That's okay, you've got a nicer home. ^^
Kayne: Well...it sure is nice if you like to swim. ^^;
Nalini: *nods* True, Kavrin probably wouldn't like your home very much. Or at least not to live in. He's a Houndoom, and he'd be a little unnerved by all the water.
Kayne: Well, there is more than just water. It's surrounded by rocks and cliffs, and there is a field in the middle. My dad is a Rapidash, he stays in the caves and the cliffs, and he runs in the fields. They chose to live there because it suited his and my mothers needs
Nalini: Ah...cool. =) I think Kavrin is a forest dwelling Pokemon, but I'm
Kayne: I'm not sure either. The forest is nice, I've been through when swimming in a stream that went through the forest.
Nalini: Streams are cool. ^^ I think I feel most at home in a pond or lake. =)
Kayne: Yeah, me too. ^^
Nalini: *a two-floor house appears* We're here. =D
Kayne: Cool o.o
Nalini: Let's go in so I can show you which room I'm in. ^^
Kayne: Okay ^^ *follows her in, shuffling along*
Nalini: *walks over to some stairs and slowly goes up them* When I was little I used to trip over these a lot. >.>
Kayne: Hmm...well...that's easy to understand. *pulls himself up each step slowly*
Nalini: I still go up them carefully, just in case. *reaches the top and waits for Kayne patiently*
Kayne: *reaches the top and stops to rest for a second* Sorry....^^; *hard pulling yourself up stairs with no back feet*
Nalini: It's fine. ^^ *looks down the hall* From here on out we have to quiet if we don't want to wake anyone. =)
Kayne: Oh, okay o.o *starts moving forward again, quietly*
Nalini: *walks quietly across the hall, finally stopping in front of her room, whispering* And this is my room. =D
Kayne: Cool...*looks around* My room is a cave...*chuckles quietly*
Nalini: *whispers* Really? Neat. =) Okay, so whenever you want to see me I should either be at the pond or in the clearing. If I'm not there, then I'm asleep here, so feel free to come by and wake me up. ^^
Kayne: Right! o.o I'll remember.
Nalini: *smiles* Well, I had fun today. Thank you for spending Valentine's Day with me. ^^ *hugs Kayne*
Kayne: *smiles and hugs her back* Of course, I'm glad that I did. It was fun. ^^
