If you haven't heard, DEF. DIVA is the New "SuperMega Unit" from Hello Pro. This Group Has the 4 Top Members in H!P in this Group.

Yes that's right, Tsukun FINALY did something right this year. Abe Natsumi, Goto Maki, Aya Matsurra, and Ishikawa Rika Are in there Own Unit. This Group might be one Hit Wonders like "Gomattou" and "NochiuraNatsumi" But there no word that they continue or not.

Their Single is "Suki sugite baka mitai" This what can you can expect on the Single
The tracklist:
01.Suki sugite baka mitai
02.Suki sugite baka mitai (CRAZY J-G JAZZ Remix)
03.Suki sugite baka mitai (Queen Remix)
04.Suki sugite baka mitai (Instrumental)

At first, I like it, But I had listen to it more and truly Love it. After watching the Promo on TV, and the Pv Preview, I like the Club feel to it. Well... dont just stand there, Order it. It's out now or download Somewhere.

So what do you think? Should they stay or you need more Info?

I was looking for this single on Wednesday in Little Tokyo and they did not have it at Kinokuniya. It made me mad. That song is great. It is almost as good as "Shall We Love?" Which is saying something. This has to be one of the best songs this year.

Tsunku certainly has done it right this time! DEF. DIVA has been #1 in the charts since it's release and can potentially be #1 for the week, something which H!P hasn't done for awhile. Lucky for H!P no really famous artists released their singles this week.

I finally got the chance to see them perform this song on music fighter. It's better then the other song H!P has had this year, but.... it sounds like it's DDR in training mode. (If you played DDR in the clapping mode you know what I mean). I feel like I'm playing DDR when I hear this song, it's a good and a bad thing at the same time. I must agree with what-his-face, Rika doesn't have a good voice. I thik she is there cause it's Hello-Pro.

WTH Only 26k copies?! sad
Even Aya's latest single sold more than that. Apparently DEF. DIVA is the lowest selling #1 ever.

Man, I wonder why H!P super groups never sell that well.

Sales > chart position

That's right! DEF. DIVA has set the record for the worst selling Weekly #1 single in the history of the Oricon. The last record was set 17 years ago. Anyway, DEF. DIVA is the 6th H!P group to hit the weekly #1. The last weekly #1 from H!P was Morning Musume's AS FOR ONE DAY, roughly 2 1/2 years ago.
Other H!P #1 groups/soloists
Morning Musume
Petit Moni
Tanpopo
Goto Maki
Gomattou
and now DEF. DIVA

Notice that in 5 out of 6 of those groups/soloists, Maki Goto was in them at the time of their record(s) (she's just not in Tanpopo). It just says that she's the best H!P member, huh? lol

I bet it's just a coincidence that she is in all of those. LOL. Or maybe it's just cause I don't really care for her. Well...H!P it's doing well. crying I hope H!P isn't being left in the dust..... sad

I don't really think it's coincidence she's in all of those. "Love Machine" is H!P's best selling single ever, it's Maki's first single. Everyone was really interested in this talented 13-year-old who looked older than she was. Petit Moni's 1st single "Chokotto Love" is I think the 2nd best selling H!P single ever. The group also contains Maki. Obviously Maki solo isn't a coincidence. Gomattou and DEF. DIVA are groups of H!P soloists (plus Rika for DEF. DIVA) so it might be a coincidence for those. Gomattou was a loooooot of Maki, however. I'd say that in Maki's day (which unfortunately is over) she was maaaajorly popular, maybe even more than Ayaya is today. I can't say for sure though.

She's more popular than Ayaya, I know that. I can understand why people like her, but......I dunno. I think Abe and Aya are better singers, but other people might disagree....I think Maki is the best dancer, but I think she is popular because she does well all around. And um, Ayaya doesn't have sex appeal like Maki does.

I checked this page that lists who sings what part of the song and such Hello!Project Lyric Archive

I was wondering if Maki really did influence those top songs with her ability to sing.

Well, she didn't have the most sings parts for "Love Machine", Abe and Mari did. Aya was tied for #6 with Nakazawa Yuko. (My personnal opinion about why this song was popular is that it was popular because all the older songs weren't as cheerful as this and it was a new sound for j-pop)

For "Chokotto Love", Ichii Sayaka had the most, Maki came in second, and Kei Yasuda in last. But it was all close. (I think this song was popular because of the lyrics. I know there was an english version of this song, because I played it on DDR sweatdrop )

It might just be that she is lucky enough to get Tsunku's good songs. LOL. That is my theory.

BUT....I won't argue she was majorly popular when she first came out because she was the first successful soloist. (Even I bought her first album) But ur right, her popularity is coming to an end.
Well H!P in general isn't doing well. Ever since the past couple graduations and stuff...but I think it's cuz Tsunku is making cr@ppy songs.
