get this its my senior year and they put me co- captain with a sophmore cause his parents gave the band over 15 grande in the last year alone... they think if he becomes captain they will give even more... this is total bull if u ask me...
i mean his parents bought and then donated a marrebass.($3,500) the week before tryout. and then he becomes a quad player(well a quint player now) when their was someone else that could run lapps around him... and he didnt make it... I am the one that did the tryouts to see who makes it(well i was with the new instructer dude) and he gave him the quad instead of a upperclassmann... that is messed up...
anmd of course during concert season he had a nice huge solo (and he rather bitt it when we had the actuall concert)... when we have this girl that won best player in the state for bells and stuff like that... u cant tell me that that is not messed up...
both of my terachers have just sold out. to some rich little punk(please dont take offense to this) and the sad part is he thinks he's that good... its just sad... corruption in our band room thats for sure... god i hate it... he cause us to make a 2 cause he couldn't get something so simple... its a little tiny 1 messure solo where the quads and snares half 16th notes and the other half 32nd notes in that one message... and he screwed it up bad...(nasses play 8th notes and then 16th notes..) tell me if u think this is messed up...
well i have to go but see ya later...

it's not right, but that's how things happen. i was supposed to be perc. leutinent but our school counselor's son got it. it's politics...pure politics. don't let it bother you. look at it this way, less weight on your shoulders.

It sucks, it really does. Preps always seem to get the best parts. It doesn't matter how good they actually are, it's how it happens. Many of the best players don't get the recognition they deserve, many times not even a chance. I'm sorry to hear that. I got screwed out of bass drum this past year. The best advise is to let it go and not to complain. Bleh, they'd rather give opprotunites to kids with large pockets than great skill.

Well think of it this way. Your new percussion teacher didn't hit on you. So glad that guy is gone....that guy was a freak. Your band director should have stepped in there.

its sadd really... this kidd doesnt even realize any of it and he just sits back adn doesnt do anything a captain should and im stuck with everything a captain should be doing while he just sits back and laughs about it... and he wonders why no one listens to him and then goes and cry to the Asst. director and we get chewed out... well then I have to get up and start telling him something that puts him in his place and then he just gets pissed off cause he knows its the truth and just walks away... and goes smoke or something./..

some times this just makes me sick... and he cost us to make a 2 at our last and biggest festival of the year... if he wouldnt of screwed up bigg on something so simple we would have made a 91.4 or better we would have made best in class and best in at least A and AA(small class)(write now we only 95 band members and to be AAA u need 100+ for that festival... mrgreen ) in other fesativals we AAA because of the size of our school but this last festival is a little weird but its our biggest one... and man we made a 91.05 and it said right on the paper middle quad mess up(with one or 2 other things) -3.3 points... guess it was a little side note he lad little notes added that he tried to erase off but he didnt do to good of a job on that...
mann this kidd should have never even been on the line he should have been pit but mann when they seen that money they were giving they were saying well he will have to work but dont worry I will make sure he will get it... thats of course after they got the new marrebass or whatever its called... and then no they have someone who is even worse... hes not Purc. or anything but this kidd is just pitifull... a sax... and the stuff he does and everything is just sickning... messing with girls like they his property and just messing with his head and he shouldnt even be here in the first place he is only here because of the fact that the principle of the school is his nanny... that and he belongs to the richest family down here... Massive money... im telling u this kid is sick in the head... he messes with girls heads and makes them think their nothing and just to make his dad proud to have a GF... to coverup the fact that hes a queer... he's gay im kewl with that but what he does to those girls makes me sick... and I already confronted him more than once and now if I do or say something to him again I will be exspelled because of his nanny... it makes me sick... and because of his rich family and everything even the cops dont do anything to him, even when their have been several complaints about him harrassing girls and trying to suduse them and everyting under the sunn this guy just makes me sick...
and I have not even said much or got into detaila bout what this guy has done... what u think of this guy?

lol! Purrcussion...hehe
Anyways, it sounds like you could have been exagerating, but if you have a problem with those things, then maybe you should talk to your band director. If you are a senior, it sounds like you should have some say in those types of things.
Talk to your director calmly, and easily. Listen to what he or she has to say about it.

Okay... that'll never work. I'm sorry, but you just can't change people's ideas when you're a high school student. It's just not going to happen.

Wow, that really sucks, but stuff like that happens a LOT. There's really not much you can do about it. I'd say try talking to instructor/director about it. Not much help, I know, sorry.

thats ok our insturctor would take drums off kids if they mess up and do it for them and get in ppls way and when hed mess up during pratice hed stop in the middle of the parking lot (thats where we pratice) and do push ups he was always screaming he re wrote the music 5 days before the first comp rarely had the perc out praticing with the rest of the band made really strange faces had a strange obsession with fried chicken and people actually said to my mom at football games they should get that nutcase away from the band not knowing that he was the insturctor

i havent seen anybody ask this...are you for shure that this IS the reason that he made it???...cause i get both ends of the stick a lot...and it ticks me off that some people in the band talk s**t about him and say things they think happened when they dont even know what the hell there saying...they say a complete lie and i have to tell them other wise which gets in a big mes and...yeah. anyways...so make sure thats the actual reason before you dwell up into such things...if its true then you have all the more reason to be mad...but you have to have proof first before moving in ^^.
