Background/History: The youngest of two brothers. Iquel was raised with a progressive family who were strongly disapproved of anti-coordinator groups like Blue Cosmos. His older brother, Ryan was made a Coordinator, but despite making Ryan a Coordinator, they kept Iquel a Natural at birth. Despite being raised in the shadow of a Coordinator brother, he never felt any jealousy toward him, and admired him greatly, though when Ryan grew older he had to be sent off to a school on a lunar a colony for his own safety, but the family kept in touch with him all the while. When news reached them that Ryan was leaving for the PLANTs on graduation, they were saddened that he would not be returning, but did not try to stop him.
As time went by and war broke out between Earth and the PLANTs a close friend of Iquel's named Bella Right entered the military and Iquel, not wanting to see his friend hurt, he reluctantly joined to protect her. One day as he participated in the battle for the resource satellite Nova, his Mobile Armor was damaged in combat by one particular mobile suit. To his shock the mobile suit spared him and he opened a com-line to the suit. Shocking him even further was that the pilot was by chance, his brother Ryan. Ever since that incident, his belief in being a part of the Earth Alliance has grown ever more doubtful. When Mobile Suits finally became available to Alliance pilots, he trained and showed amazing aptitude and has gained the nickname, "The Gray Shield," for having single handedly defended a medical ship from five GINNs while escaping from the Alaska Base.

Personality: Not many have seen her gentle side, Bella is a tough girl, but what she doesn't show still hides deeply within her until it gets to a point where she will just break down.

Background/History: Her name was not always Bella, when she was an infant her parents named her Kanna. Growing up she was the outcast of the normal society. Her parents had many plans for her, but she was the odd one out. She grew up among those who hated her for what she was and what she could do. She grew to know this hatred and had to contain her emotions most of the time so she would not get her or her family in trouble. Her parents grew tired of the criticism and soon realized they wanted her gone.
When she came to a proper age they sent her off into the earth forces. This was their way of telling her she was unwelcome. But rays of hope shined down upon her when she was shipped off. A long time friend of hers was going with her too. Iquel Flickerbat had been a boy she had gone to school with, and become great friend with. While she went though medical training he was training for being a pilot.

Background/History: The son one of the big shots of the Eurasian defense conglomerate Acteon Industries. He grew up on the privileged side, but if one were to look at him, they would not suspect his family heritage, as he was always a good sport. He was always fascinated with machines created by the company his father worked for, and was soon proven to be a brilliant designer of technology. When the war broke out he used his father's influence, to get him transferred to the military to be able to repair and tinker with the war machines, and upon seeing ZAFT's mobile suits became even more fascinated.
He met Iquel through his ventures and soon found himself to assigned to the same groups as he was. When the Earth Alliance began producing its own Mobile Suits, he threw himself into their design and study and in his spare time thought of ways to improve the Mobile Suits to operate beyond their expectations, but due to the rules of the Alliance Military, has been limited in his intentions. He has developed a strong friendship with Iquel and is overall more loyal to his friends than to the Alliance or his Father's company, which he rarely thinks of anyways.
