We've all heard of the Pikmin Re-Release on the wii, am I right? Well, I just found out its gonna be the exact same thing, except... guess what? This time around... you have to point at the screen to control the cursor.
I'm not too fond of this personally. I was expecting some new secret bosses or enemies or at least SOMETHING new, which always seems to happen in Re-releases. Also, the Pikmin 2 updates are nulled and void.
Remember how freaking huge those Snagarets were? And then they shrunk? Well guess what? They're big as s**t. Again.
I'm not saying it wont be good, but come on, this is a lame teaser as we wait for Pikmin 3.

l-Kathulu-l Dont buy it and wait for Pikmin 3 Do this. Unless you either didn't play Pikmin 1 (like me) or really want to play with Wii controls (like me (again)).

Waynebrizzle l-Kathulu-l Dont buy it and wait for Pikmin 3 Do this. Unless you either didn't play Pikmin 1 (like me) or really want to play with Wii controls (like me (again)). I've played both, and I'm not very excited about the new cursor system, but I do love Pikmin....

I don't think the Wii one has anything new aside from the controls, so if you don't even like that...

I'll probably buy it. I only ever tried it at my friend's house, and rented the second one. Really fun game, just never got around to buying it for gamecube.
The new IR controls are getting a lot of praise, otawara. Pointing to aim sounds cool.

I think that's generally the idea for rereleases of games. I mean, was their anything added in Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition? I'm assuming it was just the controls difference. These games are meant to appeal to people who don't own it yet so they can get it for their Wii. Of course they know some people can't resist the Wii controls even if they already own it.
Btw, how cheap are these games supposed to be?

The new pointer control DOES sound cool. I thought they might utilize some motion controls though.
