The Seashore Field!
Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze (the stadium ceiling is open when this field is selected) while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Sienna made her way onto her trainer box, enjoying the calming sea breeze. She could've swore she heard Wingulls crying above the stadium. It was just like being at the beach. Sienna loved the beach, soft sand to walk on and pretty shells to find. It was lovely. She had never taken Frey to the beach and wondered what his reaction would be like. Time to find out. "Let's go Frey!" She yelled and summoned her pokemon by tossing his pokeball high into the air.

The pidgeotto landed on the sandy side of the field. Squishy and wet sand engulfed his talons as he squawked. He quickly scuttled away from the lapping water and soppy sand to a dryer patch of beach. He hardly found it relaxing, itchy and annoying sand ready to suck him under it's surface and water awaiting him on the other side. This was a nightmare! Not to mention the water was salty (unknown to Frey) and would not doubt weight him down it he happened to fall it it.

Zinnia flounced into the stadium, eyeing the field in delight. If it had not been against the rules, she would be down on the beach and hunting for crabbies. Oh well. Time to battle! She took a deep breath and chanted, pointing in Sienna's direction,

"Team Rocket, the brave, the strong!
With our pokemon, we can do no wrong!
We are the toughest and the best!
In our battles, we beat the rest!
So heed these words that I say:
Give up now or you shall pay!"

Shadow Mew floated out above the water. Her foe was a bird, so it would be an aerial battle. That could be interesting, but probably not. The mew stared at Frey with her wide, expressionless eyes. Another day, another battle.

Sienna's eye twitched. This rocket kid again? She remembered Zinnia from their last battle with her zubat, Zyk. That was quickly forgotten as she saw who their opponent was. She couldn't help but stare at the Shadow Mew. Sienna had never seen a Mew before, it was so cute! But weren't they supposed to be some sort of pink? She would figure it out later. Right now they had a battle to start! "Let's go with Feather Dance!"

Frey was up in the air in no-time, eager to get away from the itchy and gritty sand sticking to his talons. He beat his wings quickly, each powerful woosh sending soft feathers out across the water at his opponent.

Zinnia grinned. She looked hard at Frey. That pidgeotto... She had no idea who it was. Who was that trainer over there? The pokemon and trainer looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't remember where from. Oh well. "Ancient Power!" she called.

Shadow Mew pulled up some hunks of sand from the beach using her psychic powers. She felt her attack rise once again and allowed the chunks to fall, spraying sand everywhere.

Frey let out a screech as some of the leftover sand showered towards him. It's grittiness suddenly invaded his feathers. His eye twitched and he shook as much of it off as possible. Feathers and sand rained down below him.

"Get 'em with Thief!"

The pidgeotto was more than ready to attack. He flew quickly at the Mew, reaching his talons out toward her at least grazing her dark fur.

Frey did indeed graze her as he flew by. She evaded the attack by zooming directly upwards. The Mew paused, waiting for the command.

"Ancient Power!" Zinnia supplied. This battle would go by smoothly, she was sure!

Shadow Mew made more sand and rocks levitate. They shot towards Frey from below, hopefully knocking his flight pattern askew and doing some damage.

Frey's flight pattern was interrupted completely as he ended up flying into a mass of sand and some rocks, most of the sand getting trapped in his feathers and stealing his vision as well as his energy.

Sienna frown. All the sand was going to weight him down pretty quickly. "Shake off all the sand and do a quick U-Turn!" She commanded.

The pidgeotto obeyed, first shaking off most of the sand in his feathers and then taking off in loops around the field. Any excess sand sprinkled in a trail behind him as he built up speed on his way to deliver the U-Turn attack.

"Ancient Power again!" Zinnia called.

Shadow Mew hardly flinched as she was hit and caused more sand and rocks to fly at the bird pokemon. There were now several holes and piles on the field, where sand had been ripped up and dumped out.

Frey was showered once more with the Anicent Power's oodles of sand. Great. The pidgeotto vowed to never go near the stuff again and attempted to shake it off.

This battle wasn't going anywhere in their favor fast, but then again they were fighting a Shadow Mew. That wasn't an excuse not to try though! "Use Thief!" Sienna called out.

Frey flew towards the Shadow Mew, talons outstretched to slash at her again.

That time, it looked really painful! "Hang in there... Ancient Power again!" Zinnia clutched the rails and leaned out to get a better view. Was it all right?

Shadow Mew quickly made some sandy rocks fly at Frey. That bird was pretty tough. But she would still win.

"U-Turn!"

After being dosed with a sprinkle of Ancient Power sand, the Pidgeotto circled the stadium once more. After he had a good amount of speed built up, he shot out of the circling pattern and straight at the Shadow Mew.

"Zap Cannon!" Zinnia shouted, suddenly inspired.

Shadow Mew paused in the air. A huge, yellow, crackling orb appeared before her. It pulsed. With each pulsation, it swelled. It gave off a brilliant yellow and white light and snapped and sparked angrily. Finally, Shadow Mew cautiously rotated and aimed at Frey.

She released the cannon bomb.
