Biography: Originating from a countryside in Earth, Carl and his father moved to Gaia to live a peaceful life after the sudden death of his mother. Being 7 at the time, he doesn't have many vivid memories of her, although he does find himself depressed from time to time over the fact that he never knew her well enough. Beforehand, he was the absolute brightest in his class - he had even skipped up two grade levels and was still excelling. However, due to the work required of his father's newly-opened flower shop he started in honor of his late wife (and because school was not necessarily legal to have in Gaia), he did not have the time to continue. While he had opportunities to go back, he did not speak out for himself (even though his father probably would have said yes). He has been quietly working ever since, using what little money and spare time he has to go on the internet, read, play video games, and do other such nerdy things. Just a few years back he met a group of nerdy people who came to the store, and thus finally has a social life (if you can call hanging out in the basement talking about games and action figures a life).
Personality: Carl is a bit of a nerd... extremely much so. He acts like the stereotypical one - shy, introverted, and preferring to keep to himself unless surrounded by fellow nerds. He rarely talks unless spoken to, which allows for many missed opportunities and regrets in his life. Other than this, he's much happier tinkering with some sort of machinery in the basement of his father's flower shop than he ever would be at a party or social gathering. While he's not an unfriendly person, he's often extremely awkward around new people, which gives others the wrong impression. As he dislikes risk, he often takes the safe route with people and avoids them instead of trying to strike up a conversation. Thus, if you want to befriend him, you REALLY have to try. Either that, or invite him for a fest of roleplaying games. He won't refuse.
Likes: Role playing, video games, internet, books, indy movies and music, mechanics, taking apart things, quiet time, being left alone
Dislikes: Social gatherings, partying, being scolded, popular stuff, being laughed at, things below him, having to express himself, generally talking about himself or things of the sort...
Strong points: Good with computers, technology, and any other sort of mechanical thing. Very, very smart - what he doesn't know he'll eventually figure out, usually sooner than later.
Weaknesses: Almost socially inept. Stutters and sweats when caught in a one-on-one conversation, even with his father. Has issues expressing himself and his emotions. Definitely does not come off as a friendly guy, despite being one. Somewhat cowardly, and does not live up to the name endowed by his father.
Abilities: Can do mathematical equations, even complicated ones, very well - it takes a reeaal doozy for him to have to whip out a calculator. Can also dislocate his left arm to lick his elbow.
