COLORIST WORKSHOPS

This subforum is used for obtaining customs, breedings, bribes, edits (including dyes), and rank changes for existing pets. Every colorist has his or her own workshop thread (which include customs, breedings, and edits) and a rank change request thread for pets colored by that specific colorist. The workshop is opened and closed at the colorist's discretion, whereas the rank change request threads will always be open. The information and forms for all purchases that can be made in this subforum have been gathered here for convenience, but make sure to read each colorist's rules if you plan to post in that colorist's thread.

CUSTOMS

General
● All pets are limited to natural colors only. (We're slightly flexible with this – for instance, your wolf can have a rough, striped look, even if they don't really look like that IRL, and eye colors can be anything – but the pet should still look natural.)
● Edits are limited to realistic ones, as well. If you have some edits that can lean either way (for instance, light armor), please make sure to provide an in-character reason for it and get clearance from both the roleplay manager and the colorist.
● Getting dyes for your pet is fine, although there shouldn't be too much (we'd recommend less than 1/3 of the entire pet, although we allow up to 1/2 of the pet to be coated in dyes). It is free if you're ordering a custom (if you do so, you may request an uncert image without the dyes for breeding purposes). You may choose to add dyes later on after the pet's completion with edit slots, but they will come with an additional fee.
● To offer bribes or pet trades (or a mixture of both), simply state your offer in the "Total" section of the form. If you're offering a pet trade, please provide coloring samples if possible, and don't forget to specify what you're offering in return and whether any limitations exist (ie. naturals only or technological edits not allowed).
● If you create a custom form intended for another person (such as a surprise gift), you must put the recipient's username in the form.
● Do not ask for a pet colored after a copyrighted image. You may use a copyrighted image for a vague reference, but you may not ask for a pet based off of it without the designer's consent. (Of course, there are exceptions, such as asking for a pet colored after a wild animal or another pet you own, but if you provide an image of a character that looks like it was taken off of deviantART, with no comment stating whether permission has been granted or not or whether you created it, it will be declined.)
● Please respect all colorists' threads and follow the rules within each. Some will accept items, others will not. On that same note, some will request forms be PMed to them whereas others will want them posted in their thread. It is important that you pay attention to the information in each colorist's thread.
● Trades must be sent to the colorist you order from, not the mule.

Cosplays
● Cosplays are allowed, although the character's design may have to be modified so that the appearance fits the shop's requirements. However, characters from The Sight and Fell are not permitted, as the shop's story takes place after the characters in the books have passed away.
● Cosplays of characters will be allowed, but not real people (meaning you can get a cosplay of Loki from Thor, but not his actor Tom Hiddleston). Original characters and real life animals are not considered cosplays.
● To see what cosplays currently exist or have been claimed by staff for future events, check the last post in this thread or our Owners' List.
● If you're able to custom in a cosplay, you must provide the character's origin (ie. the game Kingdom Hearts), the character's official name (even if you do not use that name; ie. Sora), and any additional information (ie. Lion Form) so that it may be added to the list and certed properly. Failure to do so may result in multiple cosplays of the same character, and only the pet whose information was sent in correctly will be counted as official.
● Cosplays are first come, first serve. Questing for one does not mean the user has claimed it.
● If a character has multiple forms, each form may be considered separate characters depending on how different or similar they are. If the different forms are considered one character, then only the owner of the first character may purchase the character's other forms (in-character, the cosplay may not transform between each). If the different forms are considered separate, then another may claim that cosplay. Each character will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Base Prices
● These prices cover only the coloration (including dyes) for an adult wolf of common or low rank or an adult Helper. For additions such as higher rank and edits, scroll below.
Random: Varg: 30k || Helper: 15k
● With a random custom, everything is decided by the colorist and the buyer cannot provide any input. Additions (such as ranks and edits) cannot be purchased, so there's a high chance of this resulting in an unedited adult pet (of common or low rank if it's a wolf).
Semi: Varg: 100k || Helper: 25k
● With a semi custom, the buyer can choose gender, stage, and rank. Purchasing edits for the pet is fine (the edits can be customized, as you will still be paying full price for them), and the buyer can provide up to five colors or a palette to the colorist.
Full: Varg: 200k || Helper: 50k
● With a full custom, the buyer can customize his or her pet to look as he or she wishes, so long as it follows the shop's guidelines.

Growth Prices
● Varg: +20k per Stage (Newborns are allowed only through breedings.)
● Helper: +10k

Rank Prices
● Note that as the ranks get higher, colorists are likely to accept the form unless the buyer has been active in the shop.
● Balkar Alpha / Searcher: Roleplay only.
● Alpha: +50k
● Beta / Balkar: +30k (If you're purchasing a Balkar, you must have a pack chosen for him or her, and permission from the alpha(s) of that pack for your Balkar to join before you order.)
● Storyteller / Elder: +20k
● Gamma / Lone / Omega: +0k
● Speaker: +100k
● Seer: +200k

Edit Prices
● Edits are priced as a bundle, not individually. They are always full custom (although you may leave the edits up to the colorist, too, of course).
● Colorists consider each edit differently, and what might be moderate to one may be major to another. If you're interested in a price quote, make sure to ask the colorist you intend to purchase the custom from for the most accurate range.
● If you'd like separate uncerts for a pet with edits and a pet without, make sure to specify it on your form!
● Minor: +5-10k
● Moderate: +15-50k
● Major: +60-100k

PACK CUSTOMS

General
● Pack customs are random Varg purchased at cheaper prices for the purpose of handing out in games for existing packs.
● The buyer may not keep any – they must all be given away (although which pack they go to is up to the buyer). They may be handed out to specific people, or free contests may be held for them.
● A maximum of four random pack customs may be purchased in one slot opening per colorist. If you need more, you may try for a normal custom slot (whether it be random, semi, or full; but note that they do not come in bundles like pack customs), purchase more pack customs from a different colorist around the same time, or hold onto them and wait for open pack customs at a later date.
● Varg purchased from pack customs must stay in their designated pack unless the buyer gives permission otherwise or the pack thread has been inactive for a minimum of six months.
● When giving out these Varg, buyers may have their own stipulations (such as a specific personality or name theme the Varg must have) so long as they do not go against our own rules. However, these stipulations must be made clear before the owner-to-be claims the pet, or they will be made void.
● Although these customs are random, a small detail may be specified so long as it is part of pack requirements (ie. if the pack only accepts warm-colored Varg, you may state so, but you may not specify which warm color is actually used) or family relations (ie. you may request that some or all of them be related to one another or an existing pet. If you go with the latter, you must have the pet owner's permission). The lines they go on may be determined by the buyer, as well (but only for gamma, sikla, storyteller, and elder lines, as the higher ranks will not be given away in pack customs). These, however, come with an additional fee.

Prices
● Base: Pup: 30k | Adolescent: 25k | Adult: 20k
● Pack Specifics/Family Relations: +10k Total
● Stage/Rank Specifics: +5k per Specified Pet
● Edits: Same price as normal edits.

BREEDINGS

General
● Any couple may breed, regardless of rank or type, so long as the pets are the same species, but same-gender pairs must find a surrogate.
● Only adult Varg, adolescent Varg (he or she must have been an adolescent for at least two weeks), and adult Helpers can breed.
● A pet may be entered only once per slot opening.
● A female may not mate again until her latest litter reaches adolescence. (This applies even if she obtained her offspring from a rogue breeding and the offspring are not genetically hers.) If growths are late, the female may mate again two months after the latest growth of her offspring. If no pups were dropped off at all and the colorist disappeared, the female may mate again three months after her form was accepted.
● The adult stage offspring grow into is determined by the mother, and the offspring can grow into gammas (either wild or tamed, based on the mother) or kerls. In a rogue breeding, the adult stage will be determined by the non-rogue parent. (If either parent is a Balkar and the Balkar's pack's alpha(s) allow the pups to stay in the pack, please state so in the form so that the colorist can grow them to Balkar stages instead.)
● Edits may pass down to offspring if they are genetic. Whether non-genetic edits or dyes pass down is up to the colorist. Occasionally, random mutations may occur.
● Throwbacks are, ultimately, colorist choice, but if you'd like a better chance for it to happen, please link to the pet's family. If you don't link anything, throwbacks can still occur, but most of the time, none will be done.
● Randoms (as in colors or markings that do not show up on the parents or their ancestors) may be done with your permission. Simply state you'd like some randoms in the "Additional Comments" section of the form (but nothing specific!) and the colorist will take note of it.
● Speaker/Seer abilities can pop up in offspring occasionally, but the chance is slim. Even if one or both of the parents are a Speaker/Seer, the probability will remain the same.
● Any roleplays used for perks may not be re-used for the same pet.
● Owners may give away the resulting offspring in any (free) way they choose. However, a maximum of two may be kept per person per litter.
● Forms should be completed by the time you post, or they may be disregarded (for instance, please don't omit the uncerts and state they'll be provided at a later date if the pair is chosen). If you need help with anything (such as how to get your pet's thumbnail image or how to get the URL to link directly), please ask in the main thread.
● Trades must be sent to the colorist you order from, not the mule.
● All owners involved in a breeding should give consent to enter his or her couple in every slot. This means that, even if an owner says it's okay for someone to enter his or her pet in all slots until a successful breeding occurs, the other owner should still make sure to ask before entering any breedings to ensure the other owner is still active and interested in paying half of the fee. Should one of the owners disappear, then, after a set time and investigation, half of the litter will go to the active owner. After some more time, the other half will go to the active owner as well, if the second one does not return. If you choose to enter any breedings, please realize this can occur (and it will, if necessary) and colorists are not under any obligation to color any extra offspring for an owner who was unable to claim an offspring. (Of course, we would like to avoid this if at all possible, so please do make sure every owner in a couple is still interested and active before posting any forms.)

Rogue Breeding
● Rogue breeding requires only one pet of any gender. The pet's partner's appearance is completely up to the colorist.
● There are two types of rogue breeding. In the first (normal), your pet mates with an imaginary pet and the resulting offspring stay with your pet (if your pet is a male wolf, the newborn stage will be skipped). In the second (unrelated), your pet finds random offspring but will not be genetically related to them in any way (in this method, the offspring are often siblings, but that is not always the case).
● You may specify whether your rogue breeding is normal or unrelated (or leave it up to the colorist) in your form. (You may request either or, but nothing more specific. For example, "Unrelated" is fine, but "Unrelated. The offspring aren't related to one another." is not.)
● In the future, you may custom in the rogue. (However, you must have been the one to order the rogue breeding. Anyone else cannot do so unless you provide written permission to the colorist.) You can either have it as a semi-custom or a full-custom. In both cases, images of the existing parent and the offspring should be provided. Full customs will be denied if your concept doesn't match well with the offspring (ie. you ask for a completely red wolf when none of the offspring have any red on them). After the pet has been completed, new cert requests should be made, asking for the offspring's certs to be updated with the parent's name.

Litter Sizes
● Regular Varg (The mother is an adult Varg.) and Foxes: 2-6
● Adolescent Varg (The mother is an adolescent Varg.) and Birds (Raven / Steppe Eagle): 2-4
● Hares: 2-8
● Deer: 2
● With rogue breeding, the litter size is determined by the non-rogue parent.
● The minimum amount is lowered by one if both parents are owned by the same person. Alternatively, you may request (in the "Additional Comments" section of the form) it be lowered for in-character reasons (ie. you have a plot that requires the parents to have a small litter of one, the parents are alphas of a discriminatory pack that will kill any offspring of a particular gender, and so forth).
● If one or both of the parents are alphas, there is a chance for one to two pups to be added to the litter.
● Parents may provide two roleplays each (they may both link to the same roleplays if they interacted together in those) for an additional offspring. This may be used for a maximum of: 8 offspring (Adult Varg / Foxes), 6 offspring (Birds), 10 offspring (Hares), or 3 offspring (Deer).

Prices
● Varg: 20k
● Helpers: 10k
● Edited: +5k per Edited Parent (You do not have to pay the additional 5k if the edits are very minor (such as one simple mouth quirk), none of the edits the parents have pass down genetically (such as scars and and accessories), or if you don't want any edits to pass down at all. If you pay for an edited breeding but some of the parents have edits that can work as both wounds (which do not pass) and mutations (which do pass), such as a floppy ear, please specify the ones that aren't genetic in the "Additional Comments" section of the form.)

CUSTOM BREEDINGS

General
● Custom slots for breedings are open with any breeding slots (unless otherwise specified). If you're interested in using it, please state so in the "Additional Comments" section of the form. Custom offspring forms can be submitted after litter size has been rolled for. (If these become too common, a limit will be set in place.)
● Custom breedings allow the buyer some control over an offspring's appearance. However, this is limited to what the parents look like. An offspring should not look too unrelated from its parents or have too many edits the parents do not have. (Colorists have the right to refuse a custom if it does not look related to its parents.)
● One custom per person per litter is allowed.
● Both the genetic and non-genetic edits of the parents may be customed in, but they are still limited to what the parents (and any official grandparents) have. One or two random mutations or accessories that were previously not shown in the bloodline may be allowed depending on the colorist and the edit itself.
● Customed offspring are part of the litter, but do not add to it. (For example, if a couple were to have three offspring and customed one, the result would be two random offspring and one custom offspring.)
● With semi customs, a maximum of three traits of the parents may be specified per customed offspring (such as a particular marking or edit).
● With full customs, everything may be specified, even gender. However, because the adolescent and adult lines won't be shown until the pet grows, the buyer won't have as much control over the appearance. If it's really necessary that the buyer be able to dictate the final appearance (ie. the offspring is a really close OC), then it is suggested the pet be bought through customs instead.
● Which adult lines the offspring grows into may be specified for an additional fee, but it is limited to the gamma / kerl rank.

Prices
Semi: Varg: 50k per Offspring | Helper: 25k per Offspring
Full: Varg: 100k per Offspring | Helper: 50k per Offspring
● Edits: +10k (Minor), +20k (Moderate), or +30k (Major) per Offspring
● Specific Stage: +10k per Offspring

EDITS

General
● Edits are modifications to your pet's appearance (basically, it applies to any changes that require editing the default lineart), and can range from changing expressions to adding scars.
● Please keep rank in mind when determining edits. An alpha shouldn't have its tail curled under it, for instance.
● To purchase edits for an existing pet, you must either order the edit from the colorist who originally colored the pet or get it from a colorist who has been approved to edit pets he or she did not color (some may be approved to do lineart edits only, others may be able to add only dyes, or there may be colorists who can do both). Colorists allowed to modify pets they did not color themselves include: Ryuukishin (both edits and dyes).

Types
● Items/Accessories/Dyes: These are the most commonly obtained edits. They include anything that is added onto the pet that is not a part of the pet itself, such as bandanas and dyes.
● Natural: These are uncommon edits. They include edits that can happen to the pet naturally, such as expression changes, wounds, and missing limbs.
● Mutation: These edits will be rarely available. They include edits to the pet that can be passed down via breeding that the pet has not had before, such as a fluffier tuft of hair.

Prices
● Edits are priced as a bundle, not individually. They are always full custom (although you may leave the edits up to the colorist, too, of course).
● Colorists consider each edit differently, and what might be moderate to one may be major to another. If you're interested in a price quote, make sure to ask the colorist you intend to purchase the custom from for the most accurate range.
● Items, accessories, and dyes may be received for free if you have the required materials. For more information, go here.
● Minor: +5-10k
● Moderate: +15-50k
● Major: +60-100k

Roleplay Discounts
● Roleplays showing how the pets received the edits may be used for discounts, such as a roleplay involving a fight being used to gain a scar or two. (However, this applies only to Items/Accessories and Natural edits.)
● A roleplay between two participants must be at least a page long. If all posts are extremely short, however, it would be advised that you get in some more interaction to avoid having that roleplay rejected.
● In a roleplay involving more than two participants, every member must have posted roughly the equal amount to be able to use that roleplay for any perks (including growths). Those that do not cannot use the roleplay but the other participants may still do so. (However, we do realize that some pets are unable to make a larger appearance (ie. it's a roleplay that involves a short good-bye with a friend, but it's not important, and so the friend can only post a few times) and that a small post count doesn't necessarily mean less effort or participation. During these cases, you're free to state your case to the colorist you'd like to use the roleplays for, and it will be his or her decision on whether to accept them or not.)
● Self roleplays are allowed, but they must be more than simple blurbs and have the same amount of effort a standard, single page roleplay would require.
● A roleplay may be used for edits only once by the same pet.

Roleplay Discounts
● Minor: One completed roleplay.
● Moderate: Two completed roleplays.
● Major: Three completed roleplays.
● These may be mixed with a gold offer to lower both payments (ie. providing only one roleplay and 30k to pay for a moderate edit).

RANK CHANGE REQUESTS

General
● Rank change requests apply only for adult-to-adult changes, not pup-to-adolescent or adolescent-to-adult growths (those grow automatically. In cases of late growths, try asking in the main thread if the colorist is busy, and if he or she isn't, feel free to ask about your late growth via PM).
● Rank change requests can be either within the same rank or a different one (ie. you can have your wild gamma grow into the alternate lines). However, if your Varg is not part of a pack, it cannot request pack lines and vice versa.
● After a rank change request has been accepted, you may roleplay your Varg as its new rank even if the colorist has yet to complete his or her new image.
● Colorists may refuse a rank change request if the required roleplays have not been completed or the desired rank does not match the pet's personality (ie. if the roleplays show a Varg is completely submissive, it will not be grown into alpha lines).
● If your Varg is in a pack, remember that certain ranks are limited. If your Varg's pack already has two alphas and betas, for instance, your Varg cannot apply to grow into one unless one of the existing ones leave/your Varg finds another pack with room for that rank.
● Permission is required by the owner of a pack for high ranks (such as alphas and betas) due to the limited amount allowed per pack. If you request a growth for an alpha or beta rank in a pack that is not your own, please let us know in your form that you have the pack owner(s)' permission.
● It would help to provide multiple uncerts of your Varg when requesting a growth (such as an adolescent and adult stage) if you can, so that colorists can better see markings that may be hidden on certain lines.

Average Growth Times
● Newborn to Pup: 1-2 Weeks
● Pup to Adolescent / Helper Infant to Helper Adult: 3-4 Weeks
● Adolescent to Adult: 4-6 Weeks
● Adult to Adult (Rank Change): ASAP

Pack Limitations
● Dragga/Drappa (Male and Female Alpha respectively.): Two per pack.
● Beta: Two per pack.
● Gamma: Unlimited.
● Sikla (Omega): Unlimited, although there are generally few omegas in a pack, or at least less than the amount of gammas.
● Kerl (Lone): Unlimited; they are not part of a pack.
● Elder: Unlimited.
● Speaker / Seer: Varies per pack; they are not considered a separate rank and every seer has his or her own rank, whether it be alpha or lone or anything in between.
● Searcher: They cannot be a part of a pack.

Roleplay Requirements
Dragga/Drappa (Male and Female Alpha respectively.): Five completed roleplays. At least three of those roleplays must show other wolves joining the future alpha's pack (not required if your wolf becomes an Alpha by defeating the previous alpha of a well-established pack, although you will still need a total of five). These roleplays must show the wolf has what it takes to be an alpha and how your wolf raised in rank.
Beta: Three completed roleplays. At least one must show the future beta in the pack he or she was born in/joined, and these roleplays must show the wolf has what it takes to be a beta and how your wolf raised in rank.
Balkar: One completed roleplay showing the wolf being accepted into the Balkar ranks. Originally, Balkar were chosen for their strength and exceptionally strong night vision, and so the roleplay must show the Balkar-to-be is worthy of the Balkar title (physical prowess and good night vision aren't required, but if they're lacking, the Varg must show its strength through other means). For more information on the Balkar, go here [UNDER CONSTRUCTION].
Alpha/Beta Balkar: If you'd like to obtain the other Balkar ranks, you must complete the requirements for both ranks (ie. if you were trying for a Balkar Alpha, you must fulfill the Alpha requirements and the Balkar requirements) and provide one additional roleplay with the Balkar's immediate superior (for a Balkar Alpha-to-be, it is Bogdan, the leader of all Bakar. For Balkar Betas-to-be, it is the alpha in his or her pack). Note that, because these positions are limited (there can only be six Balkar Alphas at one time and twelve Balkar Betas), the superior may choose to reject your Varg's promotion. Should this occur, you may either try again in the future or aim for a different Balkar pack. (Note that there are no other Balkar ranks save for the mentioned alpha, beta, and gamma. If your Varg is a Balkar and you request it be grown into a Sikla, it will be assumed that your Varg has left the Balkar.)
Gamma: One roleplay related to the Varg's pack (this can be a joining roleplay, or one where the wolf participates in pack activities). (There is no requirement for growing to the Gamma stage if your Varg is not yet an adult.)
Sikla (Omega): One roleplay related to the Varg's pack (this can be a joining roleplay, or one where the wolf participates in pack activities). (There is no requirement for growing to the Sikla stage if your Varg is not yet an adult.)
Kerl (Lone/Vagabond): One roleplay outside of a pack. (There is no requirement for growing to the Kerl stage if your Varg is not yet an adult.)
Storyteller*: One roleplay in the Storytelling subforum. The wolf must have been an adult of a different rank for at least one month.
Elder*: One roleplay. The Varg must be at least eight years of age in character.
Speaker*: A Speaker is randomly chosen, similar to Seers. However, a wolf can grow to be a Speaker with enough dedication. Eight completed roleplays are needed for this. The roleplays must show that both you and your wolf are capable of using the powers of a Speaker responsibly. If it doesn't, colorists have the right to refuse to grow your wolf or decline raising the level of your wolf's Speaker abilities. For more information on Speakers and their powers, please go here [UNDER CONSTRUCTION].
● Level 1 to 2: Five additional roleplays.
● Decreasing Levels: Your Speaker's abilities will weaken or disappear completely if his or her abilities are abused.
Seer*: None. A Seer and the level of its power is randomly chosen and the rank cannot be gained through roleplay, although its powers may strengthen with roleplay. The roleplays must show that both you and your wolf are capable of using the powers of a Seer responsibly. If it doesn't, colorists have the right to decline raising the level of your Seer. For more information on Seers and their powers, please go here [UNDER CONSTRUCTION].
● Level 1 to 2: Two completed roleplays.
● Level 2 to 3: Four completed roleplays.
● Level 3 to 4: Six completed roleplays.
● Decreasing Levels: Your Seer's abilities will weaken or disappear completely if his or her abilities are abused.
Searcher*: Ten roleplays, one of which must show how your Varg passed away. Remember that this rank is permanent, and a Varg's rank cannot be changed in the future once you have turned him or her into a Searcher. If you would like more information on Searchers, please go here [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]. (Note: Searchers do not have their own unique lines. When your wolf becomes a Searcher, his or her latest image is used, and turned a bit more ghost-like.)
Type Change: Type change involves changing your Varg from Wild to Tamed, and vice versa. Wild Varg are your standard wolves, while the tamed are those who accept a human / humans as their alpha. To switch your Varg's type, you must provide one roleplay showing how and why your Varg chose to change. (Note, though, that Tamed wolves are limited to the Tamed Gamma lines. If you're not sure why, go here. [UNDER CONSTRUCTION])
● All ranks marked with asterisks (*) are available for both Wild and Tamed wolves.

Additional Speaker/Seer Information:
● You must fill out a request form to raise the level of Speakers and Seers.
● Overlapping roleplays for Speakers and Seers is allowed. However, to do so, you must meet the requirements for both. For example, if you'd like to raise the level of a Seer and grow him or her into an alpha, as well, but you don't want to make five extra roleplays, the roleplays must show that your wolf is responsible with his or her powers and that he or she is capable of being an alpha.
● If your wolf is a Speaker or Seer, it's possible for you to grow him or her to a different rank. Whether the lineart is changed or not is up to you (for instance, if you have an alpha who's also a Seer, you may have him or her in either the alpha lineart or Seer lineart), seeing as all of the information will be located on the cert.
