Rene, sniffling slightly in the rain, walked up the path to the Mansion. Having listened to a few things that Mignon said, she was there to use the library. Of course, it had to start raining on the way there. Her knit cap was soaked and so was the dark coat she wore. Ugh. Rain.

Once inside, she hung up her coat and hat and looked arround. Lovley. She hadn't thought to ask where the library was. Of course, as Mignon couldn't read, the girl wouldn't know.

Klaus had been staring out his bedroom window into the rain when his attention was drawn by a young girl approaching the mansion. Out in the rain? Hmmm. Indeed, she looked rather like a Banir Kinder child, like himself. This was certainly interesting.

Standing, Klaus threw on his black jackets and traipsed out of his room and down the main staircase. The girl was already inside, meaning there was no need for him to get wet. A good thing, that. He didn't much care for rain, after all. He did have to admit that it was much more helpful than it was bothersom, but he disliked it all the same.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

Jerking her head up to stare at the speaker, Rene let out a sneeze and rubbed her nose. "Excuse me." With a bob of her haid, she walked a few feet closer and looked at the well dressed young man.

"Actually, I heard you had a nice library here. I wanted to see if you had a book I needed. Sorry for not calling in first, but, unfortunatly, no one at my house seemed to have a number." That was delivered with a snort. Jeane had randomly showed up at the mansion herself, and Mignon allways walked up.

Klaus nodded, "I understand. From what I have heard, my cousin seems to have a habit of inviting people to the mansion and yet never giving them the phone number." He smiled slightly, "But yes, we do have an extensive library. If you would follow me..."

He led the way up the grand staircase and to the second floor, where the library started. "We have a extensive array of books, but I cannot guarantee that the book you are looking for will be here. Unforunately our selection doesn't include every book ever written."

The fallen angel stopped in front of the second floor library door and pushed it open, glancing about. Solo didn't seem to be there, which was fortunate. Nodding to himself, he opened the door wider and moved out of the way, allowing the angel to pass into the two-floor library.

[[Gaia is broken right now. XD]]

"Thank you kindly." She said with another nod of her head before following him. It seemed like she was running into a lot of nice people recently. That was quite a change of pace.

"I wouldn't think you had everything. Our library at home couldn't explain it well enough, and I ended up paying the price." She tapped her bandaged fingers together and scowled. Stupid machine.

Entering the library, she looked around and smiled. She was finally in an element that she liked.

Klaus nodded, "May I ask what sort of book you are looking for? There is a chance I may be able to help." In fact, despite his dislike for reading, Klaus knew where most of the books in the library were located. His abhorrence for clutter had driven him to organizing the library. Solo might be a bookworm, but he rarely took the time to put anything back. And no one else in the house ever even bothered to return their books to the library! What a pain.

Well, at least the majority of his family knew to keep out of his way. And he was relieving Chaco of much of the cleaning duty. With the rain that was constantly pouring recently, Klaus was stuck indoors. Cleaning and helping Wes with his contraptions were few of the things he was able to do at the moment.

Scowling and staring at the ceiling, Rene muttered something under her breath. She sighed, giving Klaus an apologetic smile. "Sorry. It's just not something I'm used to looking up on. See, I'm trying to make a halloween costume, but I have no idea how to sew. I read the sewing machine handbook, and ran my fingers over a few times because of it." She looked rather disgusting at that.

"And whomever decided on what books to put in my library didn't seem to think any of us would need to know how to sew." She rolled her eyes. "I'd rather be doing something of intrest, like trying to find a trench spike or convincing Jeane to buy me a shotgun, but still."

"A Halloween costume, eh? My guardian's sister is making mine. Indeed, she is making everyone in the family's." He placed a finger to his lips in thought, then nodded, "I believe we have a few books on modern sewing machines, and quite a few on older ones. Even a few on hand sewing, although those may not be of any interest to you."

Once again he lead the way, which took them up the wrought-iron spiral staircase and to the second floor. Then he stood for a moment, thinking. "Hmmm. I believe they are..." he muttered to himself, and headed into a certain isle, glancing over the books. Finally he found what he was searching for, "Here you are. We have about sixteen books on the topic."

"Really? What are you going as?" She asked, curious. "I met another Kinder the other day; Ellic. He's going as a gangster. I have to help him find a gun."

"You do stuff by yourself at my house, mostly. Only rule is not to cause bodily harm to anyone else. Its easy to get around that, though." She looked over the books and sighed. "Thank you, this is a great help."

"I'm Rene, by the way." She added with a nod, not quite knowing if he would shake hands with her. Seemed like a nice enough chap, but some people weren't touchy feeley.

Klaus paused at the mention of Ellic, and then to even his own surprise he burst out laughing. It took him a moment to calm down, but he was still grinning, "Ellic is going as a gangster, eh? Well, that is more than a little surprising."

He coughed slightly, trying to get his composure back, "In any case, my guardian's sister is having me go as a Vampire, and my twin brother as an Igor. It is a very rare occourance under this roof to be allowed to choose your own costumes." Not that he was complaining, of course. Vampires had a particular allure to them, and in any case he was getting a better deal than most of the other members of their household.

"Oh yes. I have not introduced myself yet, either. My name is Klaus." He made a sweeping bow, "It is a pleasure to meet you."

"He said something about dressing differently than he usually did." Rene said, smiling in response to Klaus's laughter. "Halloween is a good time to do it. I'm trying to dress up as Catwoman, from Batman Returns."

"Thankfully, Jeane's too busy being pregnant to dress any of us up for Halloween. I have a bad feeling that if she were to pick out my outfit, it would be very furry and pink." The angel made a face at the thought.

"But, in any case, it's nice to meet a kinder with such manners." She gave a bob of her head and a smile.

"Well, I have been told that my guardian's sister usually does not have the best taste in costumes. My guardian is furious with his costume, in fact." Furious was probably an understatement. There wasn't a word to accurately describe Kunny's opinion of what Aylee had chosen for them, actually. The assassin had been spending most of his time out of the house since that little bit of news...

"I have yet to meet many other Banir Kinder children, I am afraid. Ellic and you are the only two I have spent much time talking with." He paused and pulled a book off the shelf and placed it in another position. He was starting to think someone was deliberately moving books around on him. "Although I am sure that most Kinder will not be as pleasent as the two of you have been."

"Why was he furious? Is it pink and furry?" She asked, curious. There wasn't much she wouldn't endure with gritting teeth and scowls. Pink furry costumes pushed her over the limit.

"You're not missing too much." Rene gave a snort. "Most I've met are very huggy, or just plain annoying. My 'little sister' falls into the latter. Used to try and order me around. She learned rather quickly not to try that." Ah, being able to scare Chaya never got old.

Klaus smiled faintly, "No, it is not pink and furry, but it brings back a certain aspect of his and his sister's life that I believe he prefers to forget about." He moved another book to a different position. This was getting just plain bothersome. He'd have to talk to the people living in the mansion about this.

"Well then, I am thankful that I have only met the good kind so far." He smiled at her, "As of yet I have had no bad experiences with other Kinder children. Somehow I fear that will change in due time." He moved yet another book.

"Ah." Right. Anything about old times was taboo. "Well, I suppose most people wouldn't agree with the good part, expecially talking about me. Most people say "Stop hitting your sisters!" or "Stop telling Chaya you're going to throw her in the sewers!' " She snorted again.

"Do you need some help?" She asked, eyeing the books. "I guess I'm lucky; half the people at my house are illeterite."
