Ishizuke was bored. Out of her skull. And, to be frank, wanted nothing to do with anyone in the house. Unfortunately, it was two o'clock in the afternoon, and far too early for her to go anywhere else at all. Angelique was sulking (noisily) in the room Ishi shared with her, and she was really barred from any of the rest of the upstairs rooms (minus, of course, the bathroom). One was Juno's, one was for the boys...and she wasn't sure about any of the rest.

Juno, figuring that many children could probably keep a decent eye on each other, had left everyone at home and gone to the lab...or the grocery store...or out, anyways. And so Ishi was left to try and amuse herself. She shouldn't even have been awake that early, of course, but she was, and she needed to find something to do.

So she slunk downstairs, into the living room, with her newest book on chess strategy (the third thus far), and threw herself into a chair, curling up in as small a ball as she could manage while still being able to read, trying her best to shut out the world. She didn't like the world at the moment. She didn't want to deal with it.

Leviathan didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to go with Juno. He wasn't as stubborn as Rook and he wasn't ignorant like Saint. And he definitely wasn't stupid like Ishizuke. Stupid girl, taking up space in his house. And of course, the nocturnal jerk was left at home too, and she was taking up the whole basted couch. Reading. Reading, of all the useless things, too! About chess, nonetheless. What a total waste of space.

The lobster boy marched himself over and folded his arms over his chest. "Get off my couch, Ishizuke." He didn't care if it wasn't technically his; he'd get it one day, anyways. He was Juno's son, after all. (It sort of followed the same logic as his beach. Maybe he couldn't actually own it, but that didn't deter him from chasing everyone else off of it. Maybe it was the summon finally raising its ugly head, but the child was possessive.

"I don't have all day. Chop chop!"

Ishizuke looked up when she heard footsteps approaching, and as soon as she realized it was Leviathan, her head dipped back to her book. She wasn't going to deal with him. She'd stay in her little self-contained ball, say nothing, and he would ignore her. She hoped. Exhaling softly through her nose in an attempt to release tension without him taking it as some sort of response, she furrowed her brow and focused intensely on the words.

The King's gambit seeks to clear away Black's central pawn... Oh no he did not! Ishizuke lifted her head at Leviathan's last words, regarding him coldly. This was not his couch, and while he might have been Juno's son, he was certainly no more of the owner of the house than she. And she was taking up barely any space to begin with.

Considering her next course of action, she dropped her head and continued to read. ...to build his (her) own dominating center. Ishizuke frowned and then very, very deliberately looked up at Leviathan again. "I am here, and I am not moving," she said quietly, her tone level and not at all challenging. She didn't need a tone; the words were enough.

"No?"

Leviathan gave Ishizuke a terrible toothy grin, something that should have frightened any normal being. "I see." Well, when push came to shove...Leviathan shoved. The teal-haired lad stepped closer and observed his housemate for just one moment before he latched onto her ankle with a gloved hand. "I guess I can help you out, there," he hissed, mismatched eyes narrowing to serpentine slits as he squeezed.

And then he yanked.

Leviathan held nothing back, not the least bit put off by the fact that Ishizuke was a girl. The boy dragged her down like the fearsome sea beast might drag any victim down into the deep blue. Oh sure, it was just onto the floor, but suddenly, this was so much more to Leviathan. The look the teal-haired boy took on a feral look and time seemed to move slow as he started to twist in something very similar to an alligator's death roll. Leviathan's stream of consciousness had cut off.

He was the might sea monster. He did not lose.

Leviathan's expression didn't faze Ishizuke in any way. A display of threat was just that, a display. Nothing more. "No," she answered calmly, returning to her book.

That didn't last long. She snarled when Leviathan touched her, trying to wrench away but only succeeding in falling in an undignified heap when he yanked on her ankle and then started..........what the ******** was he doing?! Shrieking angrily, she thrashed and eventually managed to pull out of his grasp, though not without a nasty bump to the head from Juno's coffee table. Scrambling upright, she scrabbled at the tabletop for her bag (never far away...Ishi trusted nobody) and extracted the Mace from it, uncapping it with shaking fingers and looking at Leviathan with a deadly calm.

"Touch me again, and I swear to God I will find some way to kill you," she said quietly, her voice no longer blithe but shaking furious. "Stay the ******** away from me, you ******** freak."

Leviathan flicked his tongue, unimpressed with Ishizuke's meaningless threats. She wouldn't. She wouldn't kill him, because he was Juno's, and surely, his father would end her for such an act. If not out of fatherly love, than solely because Leviathan was his greatest achievement, and the boy didn't think the red-hair scientist would stand to lose that.

As quickly as the anger had reared its ugly head, it snaked back below the surface, and Leviathan was calm again.

The teal-haired boy blinked and shook his head, regarding Ishizuke with an air of confusion. What was she holding? The lobster-child only had a vague idea of what he had just done, no, wait. The longer he thought about it, the more it made sense. Lips curled back into a snarl and he gave Ishizuke a dirty look. Whatever she got, the b***h deserved. "Like you're one to talk about freaks, scarface," he muttered.

"At least I'm fully human," Ishizuke snapped, glaring at Leviathan while she calmed her breathing and tried to figure out what had just happened. Apparently, Leviathan had moodswung harder than a pregnant bipolar woman, and now he was just...she didn't even know. But if he wasn't going to attack her anymore, she damn well wasn't going to just stand there, staring at him. The a*****e was a waste of her time. returning to the couch, she picked up her book again and sank down slowly. She wasn't going to let him win, not that easily.

She didn't roll over and die just because some upstart kid with a superiority complex and an attitude problem decided he was going to boss her around, dammit. That said, she did not put the Mace away and kept it in her hand as she opened to the page she had been reading.

Her head throbbed and her ankle hurt. Juno would no doubt ask what had happened, and then perhaps Leviathan would get some sort of comeuppance...though that was rather a lot to ask of the man. But she could hope. Sometimes he actually seemed human.

Leviathan stiffened, his entire body rigid. Ishizuke was right, of course. He was always well-aware of how inhuman he was, but not many others seemed to concerned with it. Of course, he had never assaulted anyone before, either. Was that a measure of humanity? Was it his lobster arms and his ability to swim, or was it his lack to monitor his actions? Now there was some food for thought.

"I don't suppose that means anything if you can't act that way," Leviathan finally snipped. "At least I have enough of a brain to not let Juno's drugs within five feet of me," he grunted. "You'll be sorry, you ******** idiot. You aren't me, and he has no attachment to you. None. You're just another project," Leviathan snarled. "You signed away your humanity when you gave him permission, you stupid b***h."

Fine. Maybe he signed away his humanity when he decided he wanted to be Juno's favorite. But at least he wasn't human to begin with.

Those words stung something deep in Ishizuke, something that might well have been her sense of reason. Stiffening and glancing briefly up at Leviathan, her hand tightened on the little bottle of Mace, though she didn't even think about using it. Her expression betrayed little of how she was feeling, though at this point, she probably could have glared a hole in glass if she really felt like it. It wasn't that his insults hit home, it was that she knew he was right. But she couldn't allow an opportunity for a cure, no matter how dubious, go by without at least attempting it.

After a moment, she closed her eyes and counted quickly to ten, then took a deep breath. Opening her eyes again, she flipped a page in her book and looked down, starting to read once again. "You know, it's a pity you won't let him near you," she said vaguely, "because if anyone could find a cure for being a total ********, it'd be Juno."

...Apparently, she had been listening to Rook. Even late-night television couldn't have taught Ishizuke that word.

Leviathan swallowed and frowned. As far as comebacks go, though wasn't really as sharp as some of the other barbs Ishizuke had thrown done. Honestly, he didn't really give a damn if she didn't like him, because he had a lot of friends, and they all liked him and they didn't think he was a total ********, so there! "You're just jealous, Ishizuke. He doesn't fix what isn't broken," he snarled, taking another stab at her.

"You know, I don't even know why you're so obsessed with finding a cure or whatever the ******** you're doing. If you had any strength in character, you'd be able to deal with your ******** problems. But like every other weak, simpering human on this god-forsaken planet, you go crawling for drugs the moment things get to be too hard for you!" The lobster-boy snarled angrily. Maybe it wasn't so bad, being inhuman. He certainly didn't want to be grouped with her.

"You know the best thing, about being a sea-beast? At the end of the day, I'm still not you."

The book snapped shut and Ishizuke looked up, her expression absolutely deadly. Setting the book aside, hands shaking slightly, she stood up, walked to Leviathan, and stopped an arm's length away to look him in the eye. "You don't even know," she whispered, voice deadly. "You don't even ******** know." She glared at him for a moment more, and then, very slowly and deliberately, lifted the can of Mace and sprayed it directly at his face.

"Shut the <********> up and get the <********> away from me," she snarled, then turned on her heel and fled, running straight into Juno, who was standing in the foyer with an armful of grocery bags and a cold expression.

"What the <******** hell is going on here?" he asked softly.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 15, 2009 11:38 am

Leviathan yowled in pain. He never expected Ishizuke to actually attack him, never mind with something so entirely painful. The boy stumbled back, hands on his face as he sobbed and wildly clawed at his face, trying to get the burn off. He didn't care if she fled, he'd hunt her down later, and he didn't care if she made him cry, he'd pay her back tenfold for that, too. Revenge, however, could wait. He didn't even care that he heard Juno's voice, Juno could forgive him one moment of weakness.

For the gods' sakes, he couldn't even see! Leviathan continued to sob, breaking out into hiccups as he wiped his face on his sleeve. He said nothing and began to stumble in the direction he hoped was the kitchen. "Roooooook," he cried, hoping his Nobody would come and help him wash this off.

"That was not the purpose for which I purchased pepper spray," Juno said, turning and regarding Ishi with an expression that might in another era have been regarded as turning people to stone. Ishizuke gulped and looked away, and Juno shifted the bags into one arm, so he could take Leviathan by the shoulder and lead him into the kitchen.

"Ishizuke, you will go to your room and remain there until I call you down. You will not leave the house tonight." He did not bother to look up, and Ishizuke knew that disobeying him would result in horrible things. Gulping, she fled.

With Leviathan at the sink, Juno bent his head forward, tipped his chin so his face was more directly under the faucet, and then paused. "I am turning on the water. Refrain from inhaling through your nose," he said darkly, and turned on the water. "Keep your eyes closed for the time-being," he said, and looked over his shoulder, waiting for Rook to appear. When the Nobody finally did, he shook his head.

"I need you to go down to the laboratory and get the eyecup and saline solution. Saline, not any other chemical. The label is blue," he added, then turned off the water briefly and let go of Leviathan. "Move back before you straighten up or you'll clock yourself," he warned, picking up a dish towel and dabbing at Leviathan's face. "Rook will be back with the saline soon."

Leviathan quieted down when Juno started to guide him into the kitchen, sniffling and rubbing his face with his sleeve. The pepper spray made everything hurt, it made his eyes water and his nose run like a faucet. What a horrible, horrible device. ( Kudos to whoever thought of it! ) He didn't see Rook, simply heard him snap in, out, and finally return again with whatever Juno had asked him for. "Th-that r-really h-huuuuurt," Leviathan stuttered, backing out of the sink and shuddering a little.

For all of Juno's dominant traits, perhaps a few of Sable's had leaked in.

When Rook reappeared, he handed the bottle and what he assumed to be an eye cup to Juno and took a step back before vanishing again. He had warned Ishizuke about harming His...

"Leviathan, call him back, please," Juno said softly, letting go of Leviathan and filling the eye cup with the saline after carefully investigating the label to make sure Rook had gotten nothing wrong. "I do not want Ishizuke harmed without either my consent or supervision," he remarked. "And I also don't believe she would do that ungoaded. She is a timid child unless she is angered." He paused, then tipped Leviathan's head forward, peeled back one eyelid, and placed the eyecup over it.

"I don't know if you've ever used one of these before. Keep your eye open and tip your head back." And he guided Leviathan's head in the direction he needed.
