Mighty winter was finally being driven away by the ever approaching spring. Ambala could feel and see that the season she hated most was handing itself over to the next in line. Her heart leapt with joy as she took a step out of the cave she had resided in for the night. The snow that had been lying outside her last minute home she could tell had fallen in height. Already small pools of water, that once had been apart of the white drift, had begun to take homage upon the mud.
Spring was drawing closer. Oh, if only it would hurry!
Without another thought the young mare leapt forward, her long legs stretching as she galloped down the trail she made the day before. Onward she ran, her destination unknown. Through the brushes she crossed, Ambala could hear the morning birds singing, their voices stronger than they had been in a long time.
Thud dump, thud dump, thud dump. Over and over again the rhythm of her hooves echoed in her ears. Perhaps it was time to snack on some greens. She hadn't eaten yet, and if she wanted a scrap of grass or leaves it was best to beat any other hungry horses to the uncovered patch of earth.
The sun's light was enveloping the land now and the deadly snow sparkled as if it was harmless. When Ambala stopped her run, the orb of fire had found it's place once more amongst the white clouds. Such a beautiful sight. One of the many she had come to adore over time.

 Ah the sun. Not only the nearing of Spring but also the sun's warmth shinning down made things even more pleasant! If you couldn't tell spring was coming by the surroundings just go to a tree. The birds will let you know. Oh will they let you know. Singing their song proudly, also loudly, anyone nearby would know they were rejoicing to the signs of spring.
Jumoke woke up early to listen to the birds sign their lovely tune. He didn't have much of a preference when it came to seasons but that wouldn't stop him from witnessing other enjoying it. As a few nearby birds finally scattered he chose to follow one for a while. Trotting at a decent pace to keep up with the bird but not to overrun it he continued on. With his head held high he was ready to start the day.
The sun shone down upon his golden mask making it sparkle in the light. Not only that but the large gem atop his head shone and sparkled if not just as bright even brighter then the mask. With each pound he made to the ground his jewelry jingled. Their sound wasn't loud but it was loud enough that you could tell them apart from the other noises that you'd hear everyday.
After following the bird for some time it eventually landed. It landed in a tree near a rather spring like meadow. No signs of snow were present. It was as if it never was winter at all. There, Jumoke decided he'd eat something. Slowing his trot to a walk he searched for a spot he thought fit his taste and started grazing. The mask, with clearly no eye holes, didn't seem to hinder any everyday activities. How exactly that worked was a mystery but if it worked then who would complain? (( o_o He doesn't have any eye holes in that mask. How does he see? D8 Like he has spots for them but they are colored in so it's not an actual hole. ))
