So I have this project where I go through certain books of the old testament and answer these 5 questions. Like What are the main topics, what are questions you have, what are the divsions, out line the book, what are some applications, ect.
Well, I'm just about done and my topics section is a whopping 16 pages. I have about a page and a half worth of questions. Main Message is almost a page.
It was crazy time consuming but I think, well worth the effort. Even though Genesis is 50 chapters. Critical reading beats easy reading anyday, IF you want to learn something.
But the sample paper which he said was EXCELLENT work was 9 pages typed. My topics section alone are 16 pages written. Epic pwnage.

I think the Old Testament speaks a lot more truth then the New, infact, I feel the New is mostly full of BS.
Thats a s**t load of writing. Quit reminding me I should be writing stuff! I don't want to, but I must. emo
Critical reading is the best kind of ready.

BS you say? BURN THE WITCH BURN HER AT THE STAKE!!! Actually stoning would be a more appropriate death considering the time period and customs of the culture.
-Ahem-
Genesis is in fact 50 chapters, but it was a pleasant read, until 2 verses fit into 8 different topics.
Jacob decieved Isaac out of his brithright. Esau was angry and threatened to kill Jacob once Isaac was dead. Jacob fled to Laban because he was afraid of Esau. ect ect ect.

Geneologies have their place and importance. But, it's called selective reading. I skip over them the girl on the example paper used geneologies as one of her topics. ................Fail.

One thing I could never understand, Jesus was Jewish, so wouldn't you expect the son of God to know the right religion? thats something that never made sense to me...

Digital Malevolence One thing I could never understand, Jesus was Jewish, so wouldn't you expect the son of God to know the right religion? thats something that never made sense to me... well I'm no expert in the Judahism, but from my limited understanding, I assertain that The Jewish people never recognized Jesus as the Messiah. So they dont believe in the new testament. Christianity recognizes Jesus as the Messiah. So in some way we are similar and in some way very different.

Maybe not the Messiah, but they knew him to be prophet. Either way in the Christians eye, Jesus was the son of God and the Messiah, and he was Jewish. I'm having a hard time trying to figure how to make my point, so I quit.
