Essences: (concepts) Concept A:
Blades of Grass
Pieces of grass that are as sharp as razors. Handle with care.
(The grass is still flexible, it's just the sides are slanted into edges and of course there's a point at the top. Even if someone mowed the lawn [Make sure to use a lawn mower with a bag and now one of those ones that just blow it out of the side!] it would be chisel like, then. )Added: May 24Concept B:
Mirror Water
It looks like blue water, but upon closer and patient observation it's actually a reflection of the sky caught in an ever-still piece of water. Even when inside a dark cave, the water displays the stunning image of the weather from where the water is from.
(( You take some water from a lake and walk into a cave. The reflection on the top of the water is like looking up into the sky. The 'mirror' image in the water will display whatever is going on in the sky at all times. If it's raining on the spot you took the water, the water will react by making little splashes where water is hitting the exact spot on the lake. The water collected in the vial will only react if something is happening to that exact spot on the lake. If someone threw a rock precicely into the area you took the water from, the area the rock was thrown in the lake with make a splash and the vial will splash too, even if no rock has been thrown into the vial. ))I think these are okay. But Let's add A variant and another. Concept B-1: Unreflective Water
A small vial of water that doesn't reflect any image on it at all! Concept 2: A Silver Lining

Your essences are all really nice, and I've got nothing really usable. :T It is all so interesting and awesome.
Does the sky piece emit a reflection of the light present at the lake of origin as well? If one were to toss a stone in the lake of origin, would ripples appear in the vial, or would one be able to mess with it in any other such way?
I ask weird questions.

Hm. It does reflect the sky, but I'm not sure what a rock would do. I don't think it would hard the water in the vial since it's not in the same area, but just reflecting the sky.

I think the water now has a 'sky' of it's own. Hm. You broke my brain.

I like the sky piece idea (sort of reminds me of my own concept lol ), and the dragonfly soul sounds awesome. :] I haven't read through the details yet, but like what they said in the main thread, it's probably better to keep the guardian plain than GRAND. It's even better if you can come up with a character who has plain background but interesting personality, because that's what's going to show when you are RPing.
Speaking of RPs, I think it'll be nice if you can write up something to serve as a wiriting sample. All the descriptions there are kind of informal, so they can't really tell the staffs how decent of a writer you are. (because this is still a RP-intensive pet shop, so you'll have to at least be able to write well aside from having good ideas.)

Added Three more essences, one needs to be explained OTL.
Changed "Sky piece" to "Mirror Water". I love my idea, but having the word "sky" and "piece" seem to be stepping on Riv's toes. I hope the concept isn't. A rock is not the same as water, and they do two very different things?
If not, I can use the idea on my own for something else >w>

I think I like your Mirror Water concept best. It's kind of cool to think you can take the water from the lake and it still reflect the actions of what's going on at the lake no matter where the water is! But what kind of abilities would this provide to the Raevan? And would it feed from reflections or something? That'd be cool. I had a similar concept at one time, but yours seems to work much more smoothly.
I also like your soul selections. All except...your Tiangou. You made mention of a dog god. If that creatures is considered a god, then it can't be used. Sorry. Otherwise, very nice choices!
