Private RP between Syaoran-Puu (Estelle) and Nisshou Hakuyaiba (Ayden).

It has been weeks since Amoena had allowed her to stay now, since then she had found herself relaxing more and more around Ayden, settling into a routine almost, it was a strange feeling to remember the days when she longed to be alone, even if the only company she tended to crave was his. He was her source of childlike happiness, a playful free spirit who kept her constantly on her toes.

They had explored the landscape together, giving her an opportunity to memorize her new environment, this too had been an unfamiliar concept to begin with, after all the years she had spent comfortably upon her hill she was beginning to love the constant change of the Ocean and the forest trees as they moved around. Although it was still cold and the early signs of spring had not yet revealed themselves to the world she could not help but feel as if something within her was changing. In the past three days alone she had barked at Ayden for no good reason simply because she could, a guilty twang began to build within her as the memory flooded back, she was a monster.

Still sitting near the fallen log in the clearing deep within the forest she allowed herself to look at the bright midday son before she blinked several times to shift the spots it had formed on the inside of her eyelids. It seemed a strange ‘punishment’ but it was all she could muster from herself. She had recently felt so fatigued, with a strange sensation of sickness bubbling up within her, perhaps she was simply unwell, she had heard rumours from travellers that winter often carried a strange sickness within the air. It would typical that the first time she would long to simply enjoy herself she would catch such a thing.

Leaning her head once more upon the fallen log she allowed the sun to bathe her skin in its gentle yellowing glow. It felt nice, tender almost to have it caress her. Just what the doctor had ordered.

The winter always brought many strange changes to the world. It was nothing like the spring that brought life or the autumn that brought death but rather it was the time between death and life where things decided what they truly wanted to do for the next season. Nothing that lived in the world was immune from these changes it seemed.

Ayden wandered through the trees making his way back to the yellow mare that he had left alone recently. He was worried about her. She had snapped at him at him not long ago for nothing as far as he could tell. He had learned that nothing was never really nothing and found it safe to assume that he had in fact done something wrong. That was the reason he had left. Not because he was upset with her but because he wanted to bring her something to make things better.

His breath puffed out around the stone he held in his jaws. It glittered and shimmered in the midday sun so much that it seemed like a jewel that the two-leggers made jewelery from. He knew this was much more valuable though. Only five people knew what this was and a sixth was about to. A smile spread on to his face as he imagined the reaction she would have to learn about the stone. He imagined it would be more brilliant then the stone!

As his gaze fell on the yellow form of Estelle he slowed his pace and lowered his head a little bit. He crept towards her with a somewhat shy and nervous look on his face. When he was only a foot away he lay the stone on the ground and took a step backwards. "Hey." He said quietly flashing her a little smile. Somehow she didn't seem as energetic as she usually did. Was she upset about something? He opened his mouth to ask what he had done but quickly shook his head to remove the thought. If he had done something wrong it was probably better not to bring it back up.

"This," he began gesturing to the sparkling stone. "Is a gift for you. I found it when I was a foal. A faery left it behind." The memory of finding it made him happy and he hoped that knowing what it was would make her happy too. "It's magic..."

Slowly she lifted her head half lazily as he approached; a soft smile peeled on her face yet her eyes shone with the guilt from earlier. She didn’t want to hurt him, especially when he had not done anything except be nice to her. Determined not to let her ‘illness’ upset him further she placed herself into a different frame of mind now, forcing her guilt and upset from her eyes.

Soon this look was not forced as he eyes lit up with his words and the gift he had placed upon the floor. A gem; strangely delicate and the most beautiful thing she had ever saw. It was surprising how large it was, and although she did not fully understand what he meant by faeries being the source of his precious treasure. Her smile started to glow at the mention of magic, to her the stars were magic, perhaps that was what he meant, after all he had once called her a faery. Perhaps it was a star. A gift from the world above that she loved so much.

Slowly she slumped to her feet, it was hard word, once again she felt strange, as if she was slightly off balance. Finally she stood tall once more, shaky at first until she found a new point of balance. She lowered her head to look closely at the gift he had bestowed upon her. It was too much for her, she did not deserve such niceties. Still smiling she looked up towards him, a soft smile peeled upon her lips, her eyes dancing with joy although she did not feel she deserved to feel such a way. She spoke, her voice half song, "Thank you. Are you sure?" Slowly she moved towards him and buried her nose into his neck; it was becoming so easy to touch him now, so easy to feel close. Her heart would beat slightly faster when he was around, each touch still sending an electric charge through her body. He had become her everything so quickly.

Taking a single step back to give him some room she cocked her head playfully and then looked back at the precious stone while asking, "tell me about the magic." Suddenly she was feeling sleepy again; tiredness seemed to grip her body at the most inconvenient times. So she asked in a low voice, "Do you mind if I sit?" She was sure that he wouldn’t as he never usually seemed to, so she once again lowered herself to the ground, this time closer to the gem so that she could gaze upon it as he revealed the truth behind his words.

He watched as she stood, a look of worry evident on his dark face. The smile on hers said that things were fine but something told him otherwise. Why was she having trouble getting up? He just didn't know. There were too many things it could be and he didn't want to waste time thinking about them. Right now it seemed like Estelle had forgiven him for whatever it was he had or hadn't done. He wanted to focus on the cheerful things. The way her eyes sparkled, the way she spoke and the way she pressed against him.

Lowering his head he nipped at her mane a little a warm smile on his face. "Yeah I'm sure. It's special though so I'm trusting you to take good care of it." She moved away. He didn't mind, it wasn't like they could stay touching forever, even if it did feel nice. He was eager to share his knowledge of the stone and it's power but it wavered as she brought herself back to the ground.

All the energy he knew her to have just didn't seem to be there today. He gave his head a little shake to signal that it didn't bother him at all. It was a little after the fact but it didn't really imagine. Taking a deep breath he gathered up his energy preparing to divulge all the stone's secrets and hopefully put a spark back into the yellow mare.

"Like I said it's a faery stone, a faery left it behind for me one day after I nearly caught her." He grinned and winked at Estelle before prancing back and forth like a show pony to further the entertainment value of all this. "It's a very special one too. It keeps the owner safe and brings good dreams when it's near by. The faeries make it work you know? So the more you believe in their power the better it works." He came to a stop and brought his head near to her's lowering her voice. "Dark tried it once...he doesn't believe in the faeries at all and he said that night he found a little monster near the woods."

His face and voice were both very serious as Ayden fully believed in it's potential power. He wanted Estelle to understand how important it was because if she did he just knew she would be happy. The faeries were friends. They would make sure of it.

Still smiling Estelle found herself shifting her weight to make herself more comfortable. Ayden’s enthusiastic performance was enjoyable to watch, it made her remember her childhood, of a happier time in her life before her unusual tendencies seemed to displease her father. An electric current rippled through her muscles and down her spine, it was a strange sensation. It felt as if there was so much potential and life coursing through her, yet at the same time she felt tired and lazy. It was in that instance she first considered the likelihood of her ever having children, it was a strange thought, yet it had a nice sparkle behind it, an orb of possibilities. Her eyes stopped on Ayden for a moment as he pranced along with his words.

He came closer; she kept her eyes firmly locked upon his as his joking smile leaked towards her, intoxicating to her. His scent was delicious, apples, her favourite upon his lips. Yet as she listened to the rest of his words attentively she noticed the sudden shift in his tone, it was then that her dreaming thoughts changed to a gloomier prospect, what if she just like Dark did not have the same faith in fearies? She had felt the magic in his words yet now she had doubts, she wouldn’t have been able to live with herself if she was not good enough, not strong enough to believe, not able to make his magic rock work its magic for her the same it did for him.

Her voice was shaky as she spoke, "What if..." she paused; sure her thoughts would sound idiotic to him. Taking a deep breath she continued, "...I end up in the arms of monsters also?" Her words were chilling, detached from her reality; she hoped that the faeries would help her yet the fear that gripped her insides was devastating.

A tear started to run down her cheek, she wanted to curl up in a ball and cry. Her emotions seemed to be churning up within her, becoming confused and complicated, mixed up and disorientated. It was dizzying.

She lowered her head, feeling silly due to the tears that were now dribbling down her face in an uneven pattern. Why did she feel this way? Confused she stuttered one more word, "Sor---ry."

"Huh?" He pulled his head back and blinked a few times confused by her words. He had been saying it to cheer her up. Instead it seemed as though he upset her or scared her at the very least. That wasn't what he wanted. It wasn't what he wanted at all.

"Well, Dark said it was just a little monster..." He said making his pitiful attempt at comforting her. He couldn't just say it wouldn't happen just like that because it sounded like she didn't believe the magic would work herself. If she didn't how could he expect that it would work in the future? If something horrible happened after saying nothing would it would be a truly terrible thing.

The tears on her cheeks made him wish he could just comfort her knowing nothing would happen. "H-hey..." He murmured lowering his head once more to nuzzle her gently. "Don't cry...things'll be okay. There can't be many monsters out there and if you trust that the faeries will help then they will." He gave her the most comforting smile he could muster hoping that she would perk up.

He really hoped she would perk up. Ayden didn't like seeing her said like this, especially not when it seemed like he was the one screwing things up for her. Seeing her unhappy really was the last thing he wanted.

Estelle couldn’t stop herself falling into her own pit of emotions as each moment past, the tears continued to fall, while her mind wondered about why she was suddenly so uncomfortable in her surroundings. He belly felt more swollen than before, her heart rate was racing, while a light sweat slowly poured from her flesh. Exhaustion didn’t seem to help her frame of mind, only lead her to jump to conclusions and feel everything as if it was a personal blow upon herself. Yet she felt herself soften as he moved towards her, his mannerisms fascinated her. It seemed that no matter how horrible she was to him he simply took it as a reason to try harder; surely he could not believe he was the one causing her pain. It was just this strange ‘sickness’ of hers.

Smiling at each of his words she attempted to enjoy them. "Thanks" she muttered through half-gritted teeth. A strange wave of sadness took hold of her once more, and it was all she could do to suppress it, forcing it into an unimportant blob that could simply be dismissed. After a few silent moments the sniffling stopped and the tears dried out leaving their salty trails behind. She looked up to him, with puppy dog eyes, tears welled at the corners but no longer running.

For another moment she remained silent and still, watching him, waiting for him to move, yet she could see something behind his eyes that she did not recognise. Pursing her lips playfully she whispered, "Give me a kiss." Then faithfully she closed her eyes and waited. Her heart beating more rapidly with anticipation as each moment passed.

Seeing her like this made him want to start crying too.

She seemed so very very sad for no reason at all. Nothing he said seemed to make anything better. Though, it at least seemed like he had stopped making things worse. The tears that feel from her eyes slowed to a stop and he felt somewhat relieved. When she finally faced him he had the urge to drop to the ground and smother her with affection. She looked both adorable and pitiful and he wasn't sure if he liked the look at all or not. He decided to refrain from doing anything of the sort not entirely sure if it would make her cry again or get him yelled at. He had once herd a two-legger expression: 'walking on eggshells'. It seemed to suit this occasion perfectly.

Instead of doing anything impulsive like he wanted to he stood there just smiling, radiating a, hopefully comforting, warmth. He kept his eyes locked with her's in a purely friendly manner until she spoke again. At what she said he found himself blinking several times. The request seemed so very random to him but certainly not in a bad way. Bringing his face close to her's he pressed his lips against her's gently with all the sugar in the world. He hoped that this would cheer her up because it certainly made him happy. It was moments like these that made him feel like everything was right. Though, he was not sure if everything was alright at all right now.

Estelle allowed herself to linger in his warming kiss for a moment, she felt as if all her worries had simply been washed away, as if he of all the soquili in the world had the power to heal whatever ailed her. Yet as she slowly pulled away and began to smile at him she felt her stomach take another funny turn for the worst. He had not cured her as she had so desperately hoped but merely distracted her for a moment.

Standing once more she found herself wobble once again, a bitter snarl flashed across her face with the anger that was building up within her. She did not understand this illness at all; it stole everything from her that she once prided herself upon. Her grace was replaced by a wobbling wreck, her stamina and energy replaced by a droopy tired mare while her moods switched as quickly as the wind blew. She felt so helpless, so different.

Furious at herself she allowed her eyes to raise from the ground and land for a moment on Ayden, he seemed so patient, his eyes revealed a helpless gaze that seemed to want to make all her pain go away. Yet she knew that no matter his good intention he could not. She was alone in this dilemma. Utter alone.

Alone.

Abandoned.

There seemed no difference to her; tears began to well up once more as she started to move away from him, slow at first until she found the strength to run. Faster and faster with each movement. The trees simply past in green and brown blurs due the combination of speed and tears until she felt the cold wet liquid of the river beneath her feet. Instinctively she stopped and looked at herself in the surfaces reflection. She could add cowardice to her list of changes now.

Turning to look towards the spot in the forest she had just been she looked for a sign of Ayden, none came although the shadowy blackness reminded her of him. She needed to get better for him. To understand for him. She would return, after all she had made a promise to his sister not to hurt him, she could only hope he would understand.

For a brief fleeting moment he thought that things had been fixed. For a brief moment it seemed like he had been the remedy for the problem and not the cause. And then she snarled. If he were to say that he wasn't startled he would be lying. Still, he remained motionless, aside from the slight confusion that took to his facial features. Whatever was ailing her at this moment he was pretty sure he was about to hear it.

Bracing himself for another, seemingly, random angry storm he watched her. It never came. Instead he was hit by the sight of hurt back in her eyes. As she started to back away from him he inched forward not having a single clue what was going on. The wild waves of her emotions were so hard to track and no matter what they always hit him hard.

If he had been a lobster with a hard shell would he have been able to handle this any better? It was the last real thought he had before she raced off. Without thinking or looking he took off after her and wound up stumbling over the log she had been using as support not long ago. It took him a moment to regain his bearings and get to his feet. Once standing he could no longer see any sign of her.

Estelle was gone.

He frowned giving of the clear 'you just kicked my lobster' aura. Estelle had just run off and he didn't know where she had gone or why. As much as he wanted to go look for her he didn't know what good it would do. The world was a very big place and even if he could find her he still didn't know how to make anything better. He slowly slumped to the ground staring at the last place he had seen her. "I'll be right her Estelle...I won't go anywhere..." He murmured deciding that waiting in the familiar place was best. This was home after all. She would come back eventually, right?

((OMG he made me want to cry!! cry I am sorry Ayden! She will come crawling back!!))

Three days later

User Image

Just as the stranger had foretold Estelle’s belly seemed to swell over the coming days until her lack of balance was explained, as well as her mysterious illness. She was indeed pregnant, something she had never truely dreamt of yet as she found herself with child she could only beam from cheek to cheek, she wanted this more than life itself now. She would protect her children with her life.

Wandering through the once unfamiliar forest she called for her love, "Ayden" hoping that the happiness that now emanated from every part of her that he would still be waiting, longing to embrace her the same way she was for him. Her world revolved around her family now, Ayden and her unborn child. Something told Estelle that this was just the beginning of the most fantastic adventure of them all.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:21 pm

((I know, he's a heart breaker that boy. xD))

Ayden had moved. Of course he had. He simply had not left the immediate area. He had ventured off from time to time to get water or food. At one point his mother had found him and they had gone for a little walk and talk. Still, he made sure to stay as close to their clearing as he could and spent every night there. In his heart he knew she would come back to him.

When Estelle called his name he heard it loud and clear even through his half asleep mind. His head shot up like a prairie dog's at the sound, his golden eyes wide. The sudden movement sent his head spinning and he toppled over a second later. He was pleased to note that there was a familiar yellow blob at the edge of his vision. Once his head cleared he popped up once again, this time successfully.

"Etele! Estil...estilly..." He blinked a few times hearing his own sleepy voice manage to jumble her name. He shook his head a few times his two-toned mane flopping against his head. "Estelle!" He cried joyously finally getting the name right. "You're back! You're back and you're..." His eyes wandered over her body and settled on the noticeable bulge in her stomach. "Pregnant?" He guessed not wanting to think about the blows he'd get to call her fat. If he was mistaken he didn't imagine it would be much better though.

On second thought it would have been better to stay quite all together. If only he was capable of thinking things through when half asleep.

Estelle waited patiently as he took her form in; she even positioned herself on the side so that her pregnant bulge was more visible to him. She was positive he would recognise her ‘condition’ as soon as he laid eyes upon her since she was sure he had examined eye inch of her in their moments together. Her smile was soft, and suddenly her smile beamed as brightly as a star lighting up the night sky as she felt the little creature wiggly within her. As his words reached her she noted the surprise in his voice, she couldn’t blame him, after all they had not left on the best of ways. Resisting the urge to lower her head she kept her eyes smiling towards him, she had had time to accept and even become excited about it so she nodded in response to his observation. "Yeah..." she mumbled a little trying to think of the right thing to say, the worst thing in the world would be that he would run away now just when she accepted the truth of her condition. Gulping slightly she continued, "...we are going to have a baby."

Her cheeks were rosy, a soft smile still peeled across her lips as she watched an waited. A guilty surge suddenly felt overwhelming as she lowered her head an inch and spoke once more, "I am sorry for running away. I... I..." but the words would not come. How could she justify her actions by simple words alone? She couldn’t. Raising her head once more she allowed his bright eyes to capture her own, pulling her in, drawing her closer. Half stumbling from lack of balance she moved towards him, raising her head a little so that she could keep her eyes locked with his own. He was so strong. He was so hansom. She could only hope he would always remain hers.

A moments silence ticked past until finally she decided it was the ‘right’ thing to do. Slowly she moved towards him and whispered quietly the words "I love you" before moving closer still and laying her lips upon his in a tender kiss. This was her new favourite past time.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 05, 2009 12:48 pm

His heart leapt as she confirmed his suspicions. A baby! This was a truly wonderful thing. Kids were cute. But then, why did she not seem too happy about this news? After a moment he saw that a tiny smile was spreading across her face. Was she just nervous or something? Was there anything to be nervous about? As a young stallion he had learned all the details, whether he had wanted them or not, of where children came from. Admittedly there were parts that seemed like they would be less then comfortable but over all it was a good thing. Right?

He certainly thought it was and couldn't seem to keep a giant grin from taking over his face. It explained most pf everything. The random snapping and tears. What it didn't quite explain was why she had run which seemed to be troubling her.

His smile lessened and softened. He took a step towards her as she stumbled but made no other move. It was unclear just what he should do to handle the situation. Just crying out joyously seemed like a great plan to half of him but the more sensible part told him not to. So he stood quietly keeping the soft comforting smile in place until she was so close he could feel her breath. She closed the space between them until their lips were together.

Those words. That feeling. That scent. He giggled in a strangely feminine way. He couldn't help it. He was so utterly happy right now that words just couldn't describe it. Estelle had returned. They were having a baby. She still loved him and now they were together in a way that he would never be with anyone else. After a moment he pulled away and gave her a dopey smile.

He simply looked at her for a while in content silence before deciding it was about high time he actually said something. "You know...ya don't have to be sorry for running away." He said carefully trying to come up with a way to convey exactly what his was thinking. "Sometimes...you just have to get away right? It was just one of those times? It's not a bad thing. As long as you come back..." He brought there lips together gently once more and pulled away barely a second later. "I'll still love you always."

A beaming smile lingered upon her lips; nothing else in the world seemed to matter in that moment as her ears fluttered softly with each word. 'I’ll still love you always' it was a delightful sound, one that she took a moment to play and tumble with over and over again in her mind. Perhaps this is what her mother had mentioned before she found herself in exile? Returning of feelings –love; the butterfly sensation that wriggled and fluttered within you; and the of children. Out of everything Estelle had found forced upon her this was one situation that she did not fear, in fact she found herself feeling excited, especially by the returned grin and acceptance of her mate, now more than ever that word seemed to host more meaning. A meaning that she felt was a gift in itself. She knew how lucky she was, just as she knew how spoilt their children would be.

Kissing him again and again she longed to keep the sensation of closeness within him. Then as unexpected as everything else she found herself flinch backwards, a slight pain in her abdomen, which took her a few moments to register as a kick. She had been kicked by their child. It was alive, and well. Her beaming smile increased so much that it shone as bright as the sun and looked as if it would explode from her face, the excitement poured out into every word, "It just kicked me." Her eyes caught his as she found herself laughing. "Kicked me." Without thinking she begun wagging her tail which in turn moved her rump and belly.

She stood there for what felt like days as her mind played with possible names for their child, before her excitement boiled over once more, "What do you think about Etoile?"
