As you all know, Brian had to school in an all-boys school, thus no females were present domokun Of course, being the ever proper school he attended, they did throw school plays and the like.

Brian once auditioned for a play (I can't remember what it was called). He got in the play...but unfortunately, this role for Brian didn't quite suit him...for you see, he had to play the role of a woman. Dress and everything rofl



Personally, I think he's the woman that's seated in the middle (the one with the lighter colored dress). Hmm...so I suppose when he had to don a nightgown for 'I Want to Break Free', the draft from the skirt didn't feel all that different to him heart

*ahem* Sorry, more Deaky-stuff. I can't help it xd

Anyway, there's a notable difference between the way John and Brian write songs.

Brian: Quite like how a normal musician would do it, really. He'd pace about the room (usually with the other guys present) holding a pen/pencil and a notebook/piece of paper. Often times, he'd hum the tune of the song and ask the other guys' opinion; to see if there's anything that need to be changed, if the tempo was in time with the lyrics. Those kind of things. Deaky, however~

John: He's the total opposite. He would sit in the corner of the room, Freddie/Bri/Rog watching him closely, with a cup of tea or a glass of soda by his side. The man wouldn't say a word, he wouldn't even hum the tune, he'd sit there silently until he thinks his work is good enough to be commented on by the other guys. With him being silent and all, the other guys did the same as well.

One time, Roger came into the room when John was in the midst of writing something, Freddie of course, was in the room as well. Roger stood there for a while, before saying loudly, "Oi! Whose funeral is it anyway?!"

Freddie quickly cut him off and quickly said, "SHHHH!!!! John's creating!"

I find that sentence quite amusing XD Shows some of Freddie's artistic randomness (we artists are always random...so why can't Freddie be?)

This also gave birth to John's rather short-lived nickname of 'the ostrich', because he won't say a thing unless he produces a perfect egg.

I had to share this with you guys, it's just too amusing xd

I tripped over a very interesting Freddie bio a while back, called We Must All See to Believe. It's very interesting reading, though I'm not sure how entirely accurate. Since it's a translation, there are several places where English is broken, but there are a lot of pics throughout the chapters.

I just took a look at the site for the first time in ages, and it appears that when you click the link, you'll be met with a seemingly blank page (aside from title and dedication. Never fear! Just highlight the blank area to get the chapter links. The story will appear in a pop-up. Also, I don't seem to be able to see the pics anymore, but it may just be my comp?
