person one write their wish, then the person below grants it, but twists it so that it becomes something different.
example:
person 1-"i wish i had a banana"
person 2-"POOF! you have a banana, but you drop it and it gets all dirty and you have to throw it out"
"i wish i could watch tv all day"
so that's pretty much it =]
note: when you change the wish, it doesn't HAVE TO be a bad thing, just different!
