Terribly, terribly afraid.
Piercings are easier to deal with, due to adrenaline and desire. Having my blood drawn, I choke, cry, and shake. I've near to vomited and passed out after.
Well, I had THREE SHOTS today.

I share your paon, I cant stand needless, maybe thats why I have never gotten a tatto, piercing or anything; once when I tried mezotherapy (the one when they shoot you stuff on the abdomen to burn the fat) I took 3 (they are the really small ones they use for insulin shots) and fell passed out. Other time I was getting dental treatment and the dentist pulled one of those ugly looking needles with metal base, and told me she would need to shoot me on the inside of the open teeth, I cringed in sheer terror and ran outside the office, and she had to had a couple male nurses to follow me and bring me back, but I was way faster than they, lol, and had lotsa more stamina; after half an hour or so later I had to gather valor and go back by myself.
Pink, I hope it wasnt that bad for you.

D= Ohgawd that sucks. I do not share your fear. Quite the opposite. I enjoy watching the needle/syringe while it's getting jabbed into my skin. It's kinda funny, actually. xD

Thats eerie to me, seeing the syrenge pierce through MY skin is downright terrorizing, and just imagining it makes me really anxious, but I guess to some it is quite the opposite. What is your position on tattoos then Nyz?

I wouldn't mind getting one someday. And they look really bad on old people. But I do not intend to ever be an old person so I'm not worried.

Getting blood drawn isn't bad for me. I don't mind the needles, so long as no one is sitting there making me nervous. But I HATE shots. Hate them. I got two that I have needed for a while [Haven't even been legally allowed to go to school, but I've been going anyways. xD], and then had to go to practice the next day. I could not lift my arm above my shoulder's height, so doing anything on the left was so not happening. I was so pissed.

I've never understood that - what's so scary about them? I barely even feel them when I get pierced or injected. Honestly more than once I've sat there and the nurse has gone "Done" and I was still waiting for it. The only thing I hate about needles is the aftermath - I'm talking years later - wherever they stuck it itches like hell sometimes.

Needles I don't mind, so long as the person using them knows what they're doing.
Case in point, I recently went to the doctor for a physical and had to have blood drawn. The lady stuck the needle in my arm, and it hurt. Really badly. But it wouldn't bleed. So I go to tell her she missed the vein. She swore she didn't and pulled the needle back a little bit, then wiggled it and pushed it in further. I felt a shock of pain go up my arm to the shoulder, down to my fingertips, then back up again. Then my arm went numb.
She got her blood (after 5 minutes of slow flow). Needless to say, that's the last time I'm going to that particular doctor's office. stressed

Well, I think my hatred came when my brother became sick of Hepathithis, to avoid getting it too, I had to have some shots taken, and we went to this really old pharmacist who must have thought my @$$ was some sortof dartboard, since he tried unsuccesfully 3 times to hit a vein on my cheeck... by the time he managed to... the substance was so thick it just added insult to injury, and since my skin is so sensitive, I had purple circles all over the place sad

Phlebotomy is a Nurse or Medical Assistant who works at Blood Banks, Blood Drives or Draws Blood from patients.
Its the career that I've always wanted to pursue. mrgreen

Ah! I have no idea I didn't know it was a real profession. Sounds like fun though! Poking people with needles... hahaha.... Owch.
But no seriously if anyone was going to stick a long sharp piece of metal through my flesh, I'd want it to be you.
