Okay, I was just in GameStop the other day, and I asked the guy if there had been any news on the US release of Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Turns out he had it on his list of games that are available for preorder, and it comes out on August 31! Needless to say, I put down my $5 to preorder the sucker, so I can just pay $35 the day it comes out to get my own copy of it! YAHOO!!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!

August 31st is just a fill-in date. It's not the actual release date, but it'll probably be somewhere around there.
But, it's a good sign that pre-ordering is available.

That's what I did, and I just happened to have the $5 to pay for the pre-order, so I took care of it right then and there! ^_^ I wonder who they're gonna get for the English voiceovers... I'm already expecting Steve Burton and George Newbern for Cloud and Sephiroth, respectively, as well as whoever did Tidus and Jecht for X, but everyone else is a total blank to me...

Squall's gonna be tough for me, 'cause like I've said elsewhere, I always imagined him with a voice pretty much exactly like Cloud's... I loved all the Japanese voices I heard, so I'm hoping they pick good English counterparts to their seiyuu.

You know, I shouldn't say that everyone else is a total blank. I get the feeling they'll probably use the same voice actors for Cecil and Golbez as they did for the DS remake. Those 2 did really well in that one. The first time you hear them together is [spoiler: highlight to see it]when Golbez kidnaps Rosa from Fabul, and it's revealed that Kain is working for him.[Spoiler ends here] Look it up on YouTube, if you haven't played it.

I suppose the guy who did Squall Leon Squall in KH2 will do him again...But, I don't know.
I really hope Tidus' and Jecht's VA return. It'd be so wrong if they don't. D:
And I'm pretty confident Steve Burton will do Cloud again. I mean, he's done his voice since AC, so it'd be odd if he didn't.
I'm crossing my fingers for Vic Mignogna to do Zidane. Ever since I first played IX, I always pictured him sounding like Edward Elric. Voice clips of Vic as Edward.

Uhh... I don't think Ed's voice would be good. =_=' Not that I don't like Ed's voice, I think it's just too, idk, immature for Zidane.

(don't remember his name) I could see zidane sounding like that though lol..... edit:His names Greg Ayers, he's done other characters that sounded more mature, but i don't remember their names..........

The way Ed sounds seems way too old for Zidane. Which I find quite ironic since they are both the same age and... height... But that's beside the point. FMA was voiced acted about... five years ago? I may be wrong. But now everything is being closely designed. If anything, Vic is more suited for older characters such as Emperor or Kuja. Possibly Firion.
