What instrument do you play?
I get hiccups a lot. It SUCKS. I mainly keep playing as long as I can until I -have- to take a breathe. Usually they go away. If not, I keep playing and hope to gosh that my bass // contrabass doesn't squeak. D:

No, I never got hiccups, I never take breathes, to be honest. My director thinks I'm 'made' of air. rofl
Anyways, that's not the point. I'm the only Tuba, but I sit between the Trumpets and Trombones so if anything happens, hopefully nobody will hear it.. [Uh.. Messed up seating arrangement?]
But I'm a brass player.. So if your a woodwind, it'd be totally different from me to you.

the flutes share a piccolo and when its my turn, for some reason, every time i play the piccolo, the hiccups start!!! omg the piccolo is loud enough when i don't have the hiccups but my hiccups are very squeaky and i'm a guy. so yeah, everytime i hiccup, the bd cuts off and makes fun of me sad

lol, ive done that before, plus what do you do when your bd purposely makes you laugh, and its IMPOSSIBLE to play?!?!
or, if you get the hiccups in some wild important concert that could make your band famous, right before your solo?

I got them one time at band camp. I play the clarient, so it was very hard to try and play with them, and also everyone started laughing when I hiccupped when our BD cut off redface

That never happened to me. I played the Clarinet, so I always had 5 or 6 other people, even though I was first chair xP
I am moving onto the bass clarinet now. The only one in that section. That would be bad xD

Well I play cello and bass.
It's not like I need to breath when playing *My friend actually forgets to breath and almost always passes out* but when I get the hiccups my eyes get all watery and I can't see the music...

Clarinet+solo+hiccups=bad.
I had this really awesome solo I had worked on for weeks, non-stop, and had gotten above the dreaded first chair seventh grader(Who, by the way, only had first chair because of the annoying butt-head who only talked during my chair challenge, amking me mess up on the easiest scale because he was yelling in my ear, yet my BD didn't hear him...) so i was really happy that I got to show off for once, and I got the hiccups during the school showing. They stayed all day, and somehow stopped right when I played my solo in the night concert. It was annoying and sad...
