"I don't know, it seems nice here too," the lion that a human could possibly describe as raver-colored with his black base, orange and purple markings was sniffing carefully through unknown territory, "If we don't get run off again. Or, you know, run into more of---" He huffed. He sounded like he was trying to use a common optimism, but was failing a bit at it. He wasn't positive at all about the here and now. But he was talking to---We? There was no one with him, not at first glance anyway.
At a very, very careful glance--- Perhaps caused by thinking one saw something unusual about his fur--one could see that he looked like he had a very, very bad flea infestation.
But if you asked him, he would say that was pure nonsense! Fleas? No way! If any flea dared come near him, his eight-legger friends would be sure to eat 'em right up. Nothing was going to eat HIM!
Eight-legger friends? Oh... oh, yeah... Looking even closer into that mess of fur, those weren't over-sized fleas, those were spiders. For the most part, they went unseen in his thick mane and dark fur, but they were mostly certainly there. Only one of them didn't hide itself, and this one currently stood on Cygnus Araña's nose.
Yup, anyone seeing Cygnus would probably be too preoccupied by the spider on his nose to really notice the other spiders in his fur. Was he talking to the spider???
Of course he was.
"Or if there's nothing that'll eat us and send us packing again," Cygnus noted as he turned around.
His ears perked up and he tilted his head as he met another lion, "Oh, hello!" He was again cautiously optimistic, sniffing a little, "This wouldn't happen to be a claimed territory would it?"

"Stupid brother and his stick..." A small female lion grumbled as she padded away from them. She sighed and looked up towards the sun high in the sky, the sun reflecting off her white and yellow fur. She humped as she sat on the ground, her haunches causing dirt to fly up. She was different looking then alot of lions, with her zig-zag flacks and patterns over her eyes.
She gazed around and her eyes stopped on a male as he walked. She tiled her head to side and all things about earlier disappeared from her mind. His coat looked alot different then others and he seemed to be speaking to something. This just made her head tilted more to the side. Was he talking to himself? It wouldn't be a surpised considering that her brother talked to a stick but it was still alittle odd. She stood and stepped forward then blinked as he walked in her direction. She glanced around nervously then forced a small smile.
"Um not at the moment, though my father tends to think so sometimes." She replied to his question, taking a step back alittle hesitent.

Cygnus nodded, "Then I wouldn't want to impede on your father or your family." He said, lowering his voice to speak a bit gentler to the obviously nervous child. "Which way should I go to avoid problems? --- Hey, Valcor, what?"
For whatever reason, the spider on his face decided to jump off Cygnus' nose, hung from a strand there, and ended up landing on Cygnus' outstretched leg. "Uh--well, ok, next time just let me know and I'll let you down." He informed the spider as it scurried to disappear in thick fur.
Cygnus crossed his eyes and made a face, "Never know what things crazy family members are going to next, eh?"

Teagan relaxed slightly as his voice changed into a less imprudent way and she turned her head to motion where to go when he suddenly changed what he was saying. She looked back at him then blinked at the thing that seemed to come out of nowhere. It was a spider.
She took a step backwards and tilted her head to the side at the spider. She wasn't afraid of bugs but she was wondering why the bug was on this male.
"Is that your friend?" She questioned, innocently ignoring his question. She was too focused on the spider. She loved bugs dispite what her brothers thought or even her sister. She just didn't like them on her.

"That is my second in command." Cygnus Araña stated with a chuckle, "Valcor, my luck little lion. He and is his family and their friends are my pride. Valcor, I think she would like to meet you."
The spider crawled back down, all the way to Cygnus' foot, waved its feet in the air, then started to crawl back up.
"You wouldn't happen to have any little lion friends, would you?"

Teagan giggled as the spider waved his feet in the air then crouched down as she looked at the spider more closely. She wasn't afraid of bugs and this one amused her to no ends. She shook her head at his question and stood back up. She shrugged her shoulder with a pout on her face.
"Daddy and Mommy scare everyone away." She huffed then shrugged as she looked at his coat before back at his face. She tilted her head to the side and blinked innocently.
"You wouldn't happen to know any cubs would you? I mean that are around here..." She giggled lightly for no reason and sat back on the ground.

Cygnus blinked, but found himself grinning despite her announcement. She was a happy little thing, if a bit odd, "Why do your parents send everyone away? Even all the little lions?"
He shook his head at her question, "The only cub I have met here was a lost little one being led by a big, mean grouch. Maybe you can ask your mom and dad to set up a play date with a nearby family?"

"Because....I don't really know.."
Teagan smiled and shrugged slightly at his suggestion.
"Their not...very comfertable with other lions. There kind of mean." She giggled lightly and twicthed her tail before tiltiing her head to the side.
"Heyyyyyy....Why are you alone? Are you some kind of evil thing or something?" She said in a slightly innocent accousing voice. She had relaxed and was quite enjoying herself.

Cygnus Araña had leaned down conspiratorially at her first announcement of mean-parents, but then perked his ears up at her accusation. He looked around him. "What? Who? A lion alone? Show yourself!" He turned all the way around, pretending to look for another lion, then looked down near Teagan, "The only lone lion I see is you! I am not alone, I have my entire pride right here with me." He grinned and winked, then went back to his conspirator-look, whispering to her, "But if there is a mean lion, I bet we can see them if we climb up high into those trees."
And why not? A little fun after his days of searching couldn't hurt.

Teagan giggled as the grown lion turned in a circle and shook her head with a grin still in place.
"There's nobody here." She giggled again the lend forward at he spoke again then blinked as she looked around for his pride. They were? Then where were they? She pursued this thought till he spoke once more. She peerked up and nodded egerly.
"Yeah! Then we can know who all around!" She grinned at him and looked around for a tree. When she spotted one she grinned at the male.
"Race ya!" She called out then took off towards the tree going as fast as her little legs would carry her.

"Race me? Race me! I'll beat you in have a second!" Cygnus Araña's declaration of his speed was playful, and he promptly started "running" as slowly as he could, then staying on her heels, "Better---faster---you---whumph!"
He gave her a grin as she reached the tree first, then jumped forward and wrapped his front and hind legs around the tree, "Can climb higher, faster!"
A few spiders jumped from Cygnus' tail feathers to scurry off somewhere.

Teagan squeled as she picked up her pace alittle and grinned at the fact that she was playing with a complete stranger. It was fun in her own opinon and she was having a good time. She never had the chance to play with anyone in her family. Her parents weren't really playfull so she never got the chance to play, her sisters were....sisters and her brother was always chewing on his wings and playing with that stupid stick. It wasn't fair on her part but now she was playing with someone who was actually fun, so her normal prissy self was playful.
She jumped up onto the tree and clinged for dear life as she glanced down at the black male with a grin.
"I told you I would beat you!" She teased with a playful grin then stuck her tongue out playfully. She crawled up the tree more with a grin then sat on a tree, looking down at him as her tail flickered back and forth.

"Well... I had a cramp in my tail feathers," Cygnus joked, then stood up to nudge Teagan higher into the tree, climbing upwards himself, "Quickly now, before the unknown lone lion of the woods learns of our plot and jumps at us."
He scrambled on beside Teagan, twisting himself into the close-branches. Tight fit for a full grown lion!

Teagan giggled at his words and shook her head a few times. Tail feathers don't get cramps....Or do they? She thought about this till she felt a nudge. She nodded and her ears went back as she concentrated on climbing up the tree. When she found a comterble spot she laid down and looked around nervously. Would the lone lion be able to get them up here? She looked at the male then the ground, with a soft whimper.
"He won't be able to get us now right?" She whispered softly as she looked around.

Cygnus Araña made a silly-sort-of-grimace look, "Are you sure? Because it sure felt like my tail feathers had a cramp in them!"
He looked around as best he could, "I don't think so. At least he can't sneak up on us! And then we can drop twigs on his head, and I could kick him with my feet."
Cygnus demonstrated by kicking his back leg, shaking several of the tree branches as he did so. "Oh, or we could scare him away with the tree sounds! Just scared a bunch of birds away!"
