Sun rays as bright in the early morning sky told the world it was a fine, brilliant day, just a day to wander and enjoy the relaxing warmth that the lands were blessed with.
Long white legs trotted peacefully along the plains; searching about for nothing in particular as a bright white colt flicked silky golden locks back into the air. A breeze was there but it was light, smooth.
Alex wasnt sure about what the day had in store, he wasn't entirely going to go out of his way to think about it either, but if something was to happen he wasn't gonna complain about it. The peace had to be interrupted at some point.
Settling by a large, bent oak, he lowered a small growing body to the thin blades, they tickled slightly when flattened down for a temporary resting place. His eyes of black, with ghostly blue marbles wandered; secretly, perhaps, he wanted company.

A rather large blue foal had been awake long before the first brilliant rays of light had stretched out over the ground, and though he'd had a direct purpose, he'd been physically active for quite awhile and was starting to wear down. He knew that it was time for a small break and that's what had ended him up aiming for a large oak tree where he knew he could nibble fresh grass and enjoy the shade for a bit.
He'd been trying to fly, all that time, and he was beginning to feel discouraged. As if he'd been wrong all along and couldn't actually fly despite the numerous fleathers sprouting in clumps along his neck and shoulders. Feathers like his mothers... She couldn't fly either, and she'd told him such on many occassions, but Zul'Aolani had refused to believe it. Now, he wasn't so sure. With a sigh, he settled next to the tree and lay down with no idea that a familiar colt was on the other side doing the same as he.

Alex let the silence take over the still air, just listening to the sounds of nature, the little voices everyone usually forgets like the wind along the grass, or the rippling of water; water was far away from the spot the two foals sat but Alex wasn't aware of Zul' until a sigh caused his ears to perk, shift side wards, as well as a curious head twisting to follow them.
"Hmm hello?"
Peering around the corner of the rough barked stump, it was a wonder to see a familiar face. It was Zul'! A colt he had met not long ago. With a small smirk and a following chuckle, he got to his four golden hooves, walking slowly around the tree to stare down at the other colt, with a wide smile.
"hey, we meet again!"

A shadow loomed over Zul's little space and he started to open his mouth to protest until it spoke. It was a colt, with a voice he recognised! Protest turning to happiness, he smiled and patted a spot of green grass next to him with his quickly gorwing tail.
"Heya Alex! Come sit down with me! How've ya been?"
The other colt always made Zul' curious, as here was another foal with wings. This one was male, though, and one of two colts he knew that wasn't his brother. Making a face at the thought of 'Manjii, he laughed and shook his head. "What'cha doing today?"

Alex nodded to his friend and happily accepted the offer to place himself in the space next to the colt. He lowered his body and shuffled the grass flat with the bulkier parts of his limbs, looking to the face of his new friend, the first other colt he had met since the break of the basket. That meant alot right?
With a happy embracing smile, his gaze wandered to the floor.
"Not been bad'" He had to admit, when he wasn't actually getting clamped down in his fathers lessons or teased by the two little girlie princess's... His sisters, how they could be a pain.
"How about you?" He finally had to ask, slowly blinking shields over the two deep pools. He was unique in appearance this other foal, with his dark markings and oddly coloured hair. It was different and he liked different. It was always another tale to tell.
"I hadn't really decided, thought I could relax my brain a bit before getting back to pa' " he shrugged his shoulders, knowingly that he should of been under his fathers watch in the first place, but he liked the tiny bit of freedom every now and again.
