It was a cloudy, grey day in the savannah, the sun was piercing the weak spots in the dark clouds and it was letting some sunbeams hit the ground. It was warm and pleasant. Gumu had decided to improve his hunting skills even more. He wasn't hungry at all but he felt even greater when he caught his prey, which happened everytime. He was a great warrior and he knew it. His ego was actually even bigger than his skills.
The dark figure was gracefully moving among the trees and his pure white paws were touching the wet and cold grass. It had rained a few days before and because of all the clouds lately the scars of the rain still hadn't dried.

Jishin was actually having a rather good day. Having a thought that nothing could go wrong at all with her day, she seemed quite pleased. Though, she was very wrong with what might happen. To her, it was a beautiful day. Not too keen on rain, but she loved the shade the clouds provided. She was just wondering around, not far from where she left Demani, a avocado colored lion, asleep. Of course, it wasn't close enough to where he could hear her if she were to raise her voice slightly.. Only if she so happened to scream.
Jishin wasn't a screamer. Jishin was in the open, having not really fancied being under trees. She knew what the creatures above would do. They would throw things at you if they didn't like you for no reason. It was quite annoying. She really wasn't doing much, other then out for a tiny walk to get her thoughts straight. It was hard to think sometimes, around the one you cared about most.
She flicked her tail as she slowly moved, each paw making a quite thump noise as she went.

The male cheetah that recently turned adult was taking hard steps letting the fresh grass hit his paws. Why hadn't he found any prey already? The weather was pleasant and all the plants were fresh and green. He knew prey liked to eat fresh, green grass or leaves and this was the perfect time to do so. Aswell as the perfect time for him do kill a poor, helpless creature. He had almost no heart when it came to hunting. Of course everyone had to eat but he killed prey just for fun.
He heard steps and noises coming far from behind him. The fact that he was a great warrior meant that he had perfect senses. He sniffed the air and it was filled with the stench of an unpure one. A hybrid was somewhere not far from him and this annoyed him as hell.

Being up wind from the other made it hard for Jishin to know if anyone was in the area. But that didn't matter to anyone. She could easily take on anyone in her set mind. But no, she promised herself she'd not go back to her old ways unless she had to. She was trying to be a better Leotah, for Demani's sake. The reason she let Siti give her manner lessons, was so she could learn to be nice to him.
It was odd, but she was learning slowly. Biting her tongue when she wanted to say a rude comment. Of course, not to him. But in general. She was watching the clouds as she moved slowly, almost as slow as a sloth really. Though, she could be faster, but then she wouldn't get to enjoy the lands in which where around.

Gumu turned around and sniffed the air again. The creature was getting closer and the abominable smell was getting stronger and was starting to punch the cheetah harder and harer in the nose. He felt a little dizyy but he was used to deaden his feelings whether they were good or bad. He was always walking with his "I hate everything" face on. He didn't like being friendly and good in that manner.
"Where the hell are you, freak?" he said trying not to shout though he was very angry.
He started walking towards the direction of the scent hoping that the hybrid wouldn't run away so he could beat it up. Even if it tried to run away the possibility to do so wasn't big.

Jishin heard the word freak. The only word that bothered her most. It was because they knew that she was half leopard... Half that side she hated most about herself. The side that made her never able to love herself. Her ears flicked back and she growled lowly. The one thing that could trigger her anger more, was calling her a leopard directly..
She looked for the body to the voice, the horrible voice that echoed in her ears. Her red eyes glared at everything as she started to move, though now it wasn't gracefully, but more as if she was hunting something. It didn't take long before her eyes fell upon the creature that made the horrible noise. "Say it again, and we'll see what happens." She spoke with a deathly tone, if looks could kill, her's would have killed the male cheetah about a thousand times over again.

"Oh, so my senses were right, after all? They're never wrong you know..." he said with his most mocking voice when he got close enought to see that he was actually facing a hybrid.
It was a female one. She looked a lot like a leopard but had something more graceful and aerodynamic in her body. She didn't have the muscles of a leopard but still she looked tough. Gumu was disgusted from just looking at her. He hated hybrids. His mother, father and most of his siblings were in the Cheetah coalition and he liked the coalition's rules and habbits a lot but he couldn't stand not being the main character or being inferior. He had to be the leader and because he couldn't be one there he decided it would be better to leave.
He laughed. A rather too loud laugh mocking the female's words. Was she threatening him?
"Ooooh... Should I take that as a kind of danger for my life? Should I be... scared?"

"Egotistical b*****d." she spat at him. All males were the same almost it seemed. Cheetahs and Leopards a like. She was suppose to be a lion, but instead she must have got cursed in her past life. That was besides the point. "So high on yourself, you think you can beat anything, I'm sure." She added. A shame he'd soon find himself beaten by a girl, and a hybrid at that.
Of course Jishin was also some-what of a egotistical b*****d. She growled as he talked on. "I care not how you take anything, and sarcasm will get you no where here."

What did this freak just call him? He was full with anger all up in his body til the anger got to his brain and boiled it. He was ready to jump at her any minute and tear her apart. He was imagining stinky beije pieces of fur flying all over the air and blood spilled everywhere on the ground. Hybrid blood. One of his favourite sights. It was just so amusing! She didn't even let her take a breath from all that she was saying when he jumped on her with his fierce expression. It was quite scary. His lilac eyes were looking straight at her face and his white and sharp like a knife teeth showed a bit while he let out a roar.
"You shouldn't have been born, you know! Life is for the pure ones!"
He reached his white paw out and his sharp and thin as a needle claws swiped at her neck trying to reach it.

Jishin jumped at him the moment he jumped at her. Teeth bared and aiming for his neck. His precious little neck. How easy it would be to rip his jugular out. No words came out of her mouth as he spoke. All she could think about was her claws and teeth touching fur and flesh of the other. She had only attacked one other creature, which wasn't the other's fault. She just simply attacked him.
But she felt she could handle this, she knew she could at least dig her teeth in deep where ever they might hit. Her eyes focused on that pretty little neck of his. More growls escaped her mouth. Time seemed to simply stop all together. It was strange how stuff like that happened.

He got a bit surprised when he saw she had decided to fight back.
"You have no idea who you are dealing with, freak!
He didn't want the words to scare her. He wanted to scare her himself. He saw that she was aiming for his long dark neck but had too little time to react so she scratched him a little bit. A few small red lines appeared on his brown pelt. He alost immediately felt the pinching pain on his neck but he wouldn't give up that easily. No, not him! He would fight til the end.
Gumu showed his teeth again and headed straight for her front left foot. He decided that it'd be a good idea to make her movements slower and harder. His eyes were focused on the foot as he jumped lowering to it.

Jishin also had scratches upon her, but with her thick leopard fur, it didn't go to her skin. He must have not delt with leopards much. Their fur was thick, and good for taking a few blows. They had to be hard, and had to be dug in to do any damage upon her flesh.
Jishin didn't see his next move fast enough, she was no real fighter, she only thought she did. His full force hit her paw, which doing so, a snapping sound was heard. NUUU! Not now! she thought as she crumbled to the floor with a loud yelp. Her paw was broken, she just knew it, or at least sprained pretty bad.
Pain rushed threw her body, but she tried to block it out, she wasn't going to let this male kill her, not here. She realized he was too much for her... Too skilled. Jishin got to her feet, one paw lifted up slightly. And she turned away from him to get away. Of course, cheetahs were fast, but she only had to get to where Demani was.
She started to run, even using her possible broken paw, but made it a lot slower for her. Pain rushed threw her with every step. She almost fell twice, but seemed to catch herself as she ran. Not looking behind her, for she could only know what was close on her tail, the male.

It seemed it was impossible to hurt the hybrid with that thick layer of fur she had protecting her body. Gumu had no intentions of giving up but he knew it would be hard bringing this one down. Hard but not impossible he started to think when he saw he damaged her paw. Just as planned he thought. When the female started running the cheetah brought up an evil smile on his face. He knew this was his chance.
At the beginning he didn't try his hardest to catch her. He wanted to play with his new broken toy a little bit before breaking it completely. The air was cooler when he was running and it was playing with the fur on the back of his neck. A schock. The cold air somehow got into his fresh wound and it began to hurt even more. The pain wasn't unbearable but it hurted so much that Gumu decided to slow his running. When he did so the pain eased a little bit but it was still there reminding him of his hate for hybrids.
His will to catch her and kill her was burning him inside but the pain was burning him ooutside. He decided that he would kill her... but not today... not now. He wasn't in the right condition to do it. This female damaged him. Someday he would pay back...
Gumu turned around taking slow steps and looking back from time to time to see if she wouldn't attack again. He had to find a place to take a break for a while. Somewhere where no one could find him and he could be all alone with his thoughts. Somewhere where he would heal.

She finally looked back, seeing that the male had totally given up. Or what looked to be giving up. She then too slowed down far enough away that if he were to start up again, she could start running as well. She was not using her foot anymore. Now she was limping slowly back to where Demani was. What was she going to tell him? She fell, yes... that was it..
Her paw was indeed broken, and probably will leave her with a permanent limp. She was strong though, no tears came from her mouth, no other sound apart from the surprised yelp she when he broke it... Cheetahs. Once she had thought them better then leopards, but now... Now they were the same.
END, YES?
