The Big male had finally settled in for the night, wondering where his daughter had gotten off to. She was always running off, never in the same place or even bothering to turn her head to listen to her father. She was a handful that child.
He had been around Chipo for some time, before embarking on his own little journey for the moment. Oh, he would go back to Chipo, she held his heart.. But he was getting antsy, and bored, and needed to take the little vacation.
He had stupidly brought Esperanza, thinking her the softest of the group and easiest to manage at the time.
How he'd been wrong.
His nose scented the air, red eyes gazing at the sunset on the horizon, looking to see any shadows of his little daughter.

The journey that the ivory pelted female had been on had been exceptionally entertaining.
She had met so many new characters, and oddly enough, she hadnt disliked any of them.
Ryuu, the dragon cheetah was quite interesting, even if he chose the solitary rooted life.
She had learned quite a bit from him..
And the wild dog had been exceptionally kind. She had enjoyed giggling with her in the time that had been alotted.
But even thoughEsperpushed the boundaries often, she knew father would be angry if she wasnt home soon..And she hated angry Geheim. He was quite loud when he was angry, she swore that mother would be able to hear him however far away she was.
But hte dainty little paws traveled up the savannah land, and smiled as the lumpof her father could be seen..Though his face seemed quite appalled.

He stood there, much like the fatrher who waits at the door for his daughter to come home, with his arms crossed over his chest..Had Geheim been able to cross his arms, he likely would be doing it.
The dark brown of his mane covered a single eye, though the anger that he was feeling was evident even if only one eye wasfocused on her.
He flicked his tail, waiting for her to get closer. Odds are, she'd have a long useless story that would go nowhere..
But he was her father, and if the teen needed guidance, by God he'd give it to her.
"Where have you been?"
Came his deep voice as she was feet away.

She gave a slight eyeroll with a flick of her own blonde tail.
"Oh daddy I want even late.. Im right on time.."
She said, motioning to the sunset that was almost gone now, and making the lands darker by the second.
"Er, okay maybe a little late, but come on! I had fun today!"
She said, her smile reappearing as she bounded around him, her blonde mane falling into her pink eyes of her mother.
"I met so many new animals today! And they were all so fun. If only you could have met them daddy."
She said, laying down in the dirt and rolling onto her back, yawning with her tongue hanging out a bit.

Well at leasough it didnt make the male any happier about her being late.
"I want you hear at the exact moment of sunset, because when it gets dark, you are late."
He said, looking to the sky.
"And though the sky may be purple and black, it is almost pure black, making you late."
He said, his eyes being matter of fact and cocking his head. He was not happy when his rules were broken.
"You shouldnt go meeting others on your own. Its dangerous unless you know the ones who live around here."
He said, looking at her roll on her back, and walking into the den.
"Get in out of the dark, Esper."

She rolled back to her legs, using them to pick herslef up as she followed her father inside the warm den. Leaves and grasses had been placed to make individual little beds.. They were comfortable, even if Esper was a fan of being able to roll in the dirt.
"Oh daddy, you exaggerate. Others can be kind..If we dont know them, then meeting them is how we GET to know them."
She said with a quick nod, sending her mane bobbing as well.
"Anyways, I didnt meet anything dangerous..I met a lion, a wild dog, anda cheetah.."
She giggled a bit.
"I think they were all pretty near harmless."

He turned to her then, his eyes a bit more angry, though he wasnt really going tro be doing anything about it..But his voice was rising.
"Thats the exact thing that you need to stay away from! Hyenas are pests to any other creature out here, except the servals and the underlife.. If you are mightier than a hyena, then the hyena becomes prey."
He had always been picked on as a pup. He was always the one forced to eat dirt or getting his tail pulled or his legs nipped. It had not been a good life.
But he was overcautious now, to the point of extreme, though he didnt show it much. He often let his ward Valenera wander off all on her own and never come back for days.
He was okay with that..
But not his own daughter.

She grumbled a bit, curling up on one of the softer bed areas and yawning again, letting out a long sigh as she layed her head upon the ground. Her eyes were at her father, though she was rather upset with him at the moment.
"Daddy, you over exaggerate.. Im still here..Im alive..What more do you want?"
She aske,d her voice soft as she was somewhat intimidated by her father when he yelled.
"Im sorry..I wont do it again.."
She said, knowing full well he owuldnt believe that.

"Yeah..Thats believeable.."He said, rolling his eyes and taking his own place in the bed that was next to hers. He looked at her with crimson eyes and shook his head.
"Its dangerous Esper..If you want to be lkilled, or leave me out here alone, be my guest.. But warn me, because Id like to leave the area when you choose to do that."
He said, not really saying he was kidding, but if she didnt know, then that was her own problem.

She sighed again, rolling onto her back, kicking her legs in the air, and yawning again. My she was tired, but odds are she'd never sleep if he didnt stop getting so angry..
She'd be tossing and turning all night.
"Okay daddy, but I dont plan on dying, so lets lose the dramatics okay?"
She asked, perking her ears and gazing at him with a bit of a narrowed look.
What was he so against about the world anyway?

Geheim just growled, warning her the topic was a bit dangerous to tread on now. He was growing tired of fighting her, so his voice soothed once more, and he looked in her direction.
"Well good,cause I think Id miss you."
He said with a nod.
He loved Esper, no matter what kind of relationship they seemed to have.
"Just be careful..The world is a big dangerous place, and I dont need to find you dead somewhere.. "

"Okay daddy, I promise."
The teen replied, her eyes heavy and droopingslightly as she looked back at him. She knew that that was meant as an I love you, since the big male said it rarely and when he did, it was mumbled.
She had learned to see I love you in more than the words themselves.
"You wont have to come looking for me. Ill keep coming here till the day you dont want me to."
She said with a soft smile.
"Hell, maybe even longer."

He nodded. Sure thats what she said now, but he knew better than to trust her words. She said what made others feel better, and though the words helped, the meaning behind them did not, and Geheim just sighed his own deep sigh.
"If you say so.. Just be careful."
He said, yawning deeply into the darkness.
His eyes droopy, he closed them, and continued talking.
"So you had fun?"

SHe nodded quite happily, but as she did, her own eyes started closing, and she smiled softly, speaking in a whsiper that was very sleep induced.
"Yeah, alot of fun."
She yawned.
But before she said anything more, the female was long asleep, and dreaming of her day.. She had never had such an amazing day, and she hoped it was not her last.

He had not even heard his daughters words, before he was snoring and dreaming of his own dreams.
He never had much to dream about, but his freedom was enough to give the male a bit of a smile as he dozed.
His daughter back beside him, and his day just ending, he knew that the life ahead would be an adventure.
Be it just for him, or Esperanza..
