It didn't happen too often, but this day was one of those rare few when things didn't quite go as planned. Well.. to be honest that happened more than not, but not usually to the extent that it had this time. Pausing the large white stallion turned his head, dark eyes roaming the immediate area. A high wall of solid rock thrust up to his right, the colour a soft warm rust hue that almost felt like it was radiating the sun's heat. Beyond the cliff that rose perhaps 8 feet in the air, the crown of the rock rose up like a giant tortoise, massive boulders perched on its slope amid a sea of rich moss. The top was crowned with what appeared to be woodland, though from where he stood, only the outer edge of the tree canopy could be seen. Dark emerald mane feathered against the muscular neck as the male turned, coal-coloured eyes sweeping to his left side. The ground rolled gently away from the cliff face down into a wide open flat. The ground was covered with a thick green, myriad of various grasses rippled gently in the breeze, giving the impression that a giant invisible hand had swept over long, luscious stalks. To either side of the flat the ground rose up in small hummocks, topped with thick forest that offered a rich, dark green haven within.
Ears pricked, searching the gently gusting breeze for any sign of others close by. The scent of water, some distance off, but clean and fresh, reached quivering muzzle. The light breeze that had been toying with his forelock suddenly strengthened, blowing back into his face and ruffling his wing feathers. Dipping his head he squinted against the sudden attack of his mane and turned towards the flat. It was almost like some fabled land out of a story.. the kind of place entire herds held court and beautiful princesses and princes spent their days in contented happiness.
….. was it somewhere like this that his father, the Great Demon King, had come from? It certainly looked like the kind of place where such fairytales were possible…

It was a day like no other, golden rays swarmed the land in such beauty that made everything it touch sparkle. How enchanting! A small pearly filly gently trotted through her emerald forest with high hopes; yes, once again she was on the on going search to find 'him'. Oh how she longed for the eyes of a prince, to be known as a princess by someone other than her Daddy. She loved her daddy, he spoiled her and made her feel so special and felt no matter what man she would meet, he would always be number one.
Singing a sweet melody to everything around, the observations over plants, tree's and animals brought Neria to a sudden halt. A soft sigh escaping two delicate lips. "Ooooooh my prince, where must you be. I search long, hard even days... If it were possible even nights would be dedicated to just you!"
Dramatically, the small head wings spread out wide shading the illuminating ghostly blue orbs that throbbed to search on.
The wide open flat came to Neria's eyes, it was vast and there would be nothing to hide the prince if he was to be there! Of course! Why did she not think of that before; trotting excitedly out into the open, twisting looks either way until finally, she fell into sudden disappointment. No one was there.
"Oh no, this will not do..."

Dark gaze sweep the area around the valley. There was nothing behind him but scrubland and a wide forest so thick it was difficult for a wind to pass through easily. Wings weary from flight he faced back towards the valley. Even though he had no idea where he was, he was not worried. Fully grown he was no longer tied to the area around his family's home ground.
Shaking his head, ridding his face of his long mane, he started forwards. Lean, strong legs with their thick feathering moved with a long, smooth gait down the slope and into the valley proper. Succulent grasses parted before mint-hued hooves, pale coat flashing bright and clean in the warm sunlight. With a soft snort he dipped his head, snagging a mouthful of sweet grass though the stream at the far end of the valley was his destination. The draped fabric at shoulder and rump rippled with the light breeze, golden cloth flashing brightly, the sapphire pendant around his neck sparkling.
The land he found himself in was so beautiful, fresh and clean and open... he felt the tiredness of the recent weeks slowly melt away, leaving him relaxed and at ease. Letting his massive wings drop from where they were usually tucked tight at his sides, he stretched them out as he walked, easing the ache of over-used muscles and ruffling the long flight feathers to settle them back against their fellows after the long flight to this area. Giving a lazy half-beat he folded them neatly back against his muscular body, long dark forest-hued tail flicking softly against solid rump as he made his way slowly across the valley floor.
Tall and strong, swathed in royal fabrics and gleaming white, the young stallion strode across the grass. Head naturally high, thickly muscled neck arched. He truly looked regal, royal..

So the prince of her dreams hadn't been in sight, the little filly was almost about to give up upon the wide open lands. It was a sight to look upon, like a place for a wide open ball, where the cherry blossoms complimented by a starlit lilac sky could send blessings over the guests.
The whole imagination that trailed like a movie through the naive foals head made pale cheeks become scarlet, light chuckles filling the sweet silent air. Ooooh how she would love to attend such a thing, with 'him'... that would be a night to treasure upon all.
The bright bird like wings, tipped charcoal slipped out wide, elegantly swaying within the swift breeze. Two ocean filled eyes watched the thin blades planted within the flat which lured her forwards to roam.
"Ok.. Maybe for a little while longer! Afterall one glance isn't effort enough. It has to be with all your heart and soul! Only then are you truly worthy of such a man..." with a dreamy sigh, Neria trotted happily along the wide open plains. A white figure brought the four fragile legs to a halt. One knee raised high, in mid-trot. There.. Him. Who was he??
Before her was a brilliant white stallion coated in robes of fine material and a sparkling gem which you couldn't make out from the distance but it shone a daimond blue, it was beautiful. That she could tell. He was handsome, simply a picture to the field where her imagination wandered freely. It was like a ray of sparkles filled the small space around him and the filly's cheeks flustered madly, in awe.
"Oh my..." Was this... Her prince?

Unknowingly watched, the male continued across the valley, long stride eating up the distance between him and the unseen filly. His attention was one the forest to one side, examining it to make sure it really was as calm and peaceful as it looked.
Suddenly a hiss sounded right under his front hooves, sending the stallion bolting to one side with a hard snort, large pure white wings with their glossy dark green tips shot out, held high and wide, the pale undersides flashing briefly as strong forelegs pawed at the air. Dropping back to the hard earth Ehren tossed his head, high-stepping sideways away from the snake hidden among the grasses.
Breaking into a long striding canter the young male swept down the valley, mane and tail streaming out behind him, large wings half-spread to each side and gleaming in the warm sunlight. Within a short space of time he had covered most of the mile or so between them, slowing to a trot as he snorted lightly, hardly even blown from the short run. Spotting the pale shape amid the long grass he slewed to a halt, wings lifting, spreading wide and high to each side, head up and stormy grey gaze fixed on her. Recognising the flash of white coat as a filly and not some predator, he lowered his wings and tucked them back against his sides. The royal purple cloth around his neck shimmered with his movements, ears pricking forwards.
A youngster? Out here all alone? Surely she had family close by... Noble head tilted, watching her a moment before the large stallion shifted, tail flicking against his flank briefly.
"Greetings." Smooth, refined voice called to her.

WOW... The glittering white coat that shone proudly high in the air as the stallion reered made Neria's eyes shift along with his movements. They were so strong... so bold. so, manly.
Still unable to shift from that one, frozen spot the gaze kept along with the male who looked like a free spirited bird elegantly making its way through the wind with ease. Loving the run, welcoming nature with nothing more but pleasant aura.
Now that was what a prince was like. A gasp came over the now, relaxed features, a voice of an angel echoing through the air towards.. Wait! He was... talking to her? ooh how exciting! With little hesitation, Neria bowed her head politely with rosie red cheeks, gently tilting it to the side when raising slowly to meet the young mans gaze, looking into the orbs that pierced the sunlight to soley catch the filly's already fixated focus. Head wings curling to also make their own, secret greeting.
"Well hello there dear young sir. You looked so free running through the plains, your coat makes such a proud picture to press attention to. Might I ask, are you of noble blood?" With a soft, sweet girlie voice she made sure to emphasise, her words trailed on trying to sound like one would of a well attended-to, up bringing.

The filly's rosy blush and polite bow was certainly unexpected, causing pale ears to flick forwards, grey gaze following her movements in surprise. The delicate unfurling of her unusual miniature wings fascinated him, though he stopped himself from leaning in closer.
Dropping his own, broad wings he tucked them neatly against his sides, white and forest-hued feathers ruffling before settling comfortably. Her greeting was so at odds with her apparent age he had to wonder who she was.. nobility perhaps? Flushing faintly at her words of praise he dipped his head, dark, stormy gaze dropping to the ground as he bowed his head in return, pausing a moment to collect his thoughts before replying. Who ever she was, she clearly deserved his respect in return.
"Thank you very much for your kind words, M'Lady. Though they are far more than one such as I deserve." Pausing he lifted his head once again, startled that she seemed to know so much about him. Who was she? What kingdom did she belong to, to know of his father? Dipping his head in agreement he nodded slowly, the thick rich green mane drifting forwards along the stallion's muscled neck.
"I am. My Father is the Great Lord Demon King, of the Great Demon Kingdom..." The words could have sounded prideful or pompous, but instead the white stallion's voice was soft, reserved, almost shy. he had great pride in his father, his whole family was his world, but he had still yet to gain the confidence that the title of Prince demanded... He did not think himself ready for it yet...

How fascinating! it was a wonder she was to bump into such a young male who was in fact of proud nature, his actions, his voice... it was so soft, well thought out words stretched deeply into two perked forward ears, interested and keen to hear what the Stallion had to say in reply.
Oooh what luck! Neria had never been so lucky; Chuckling cutely the young self-proclaimed princess placed one odd golden hoof in front leaning forward to take a closer look at the stormy grey eyes that held with two shining skylit ones.
A deeper red flustered at his own sudden arise of pink, causing a shy head tilt to the side and making her smile gently, eying him from the side.
His large, forest tipped painted wings were a magnificient colour, large and sightly as they ruffled aside him, with little attention to them, but enough acknowlegement the squee-inside filled filly made her attempt to talk in such mannor again.
"A king you say? That would definitely make you of noble blood. A prince even! ooh you make a smile flee to my lips at such magnificient news!" she sighed relieved, closing two lids slowly, then re-opening them, flicking gaze back to the stormy grey that ceased her form. "How is it that one would roam these vast plains with no one beside them? Peaceful? Or just entirely enjoying the scenery?"

Ears flickered as she stepped forwards, eyes dropping to the sparkling golden hoof. She must a princess, or a noblewoman of high birth. To be so well spoken, and that hoof surely had to be a mark of a prestigious bloodline. The gentle blush that warmed her cheeks surprised him, made him study her.
At her words, he dipped his head again, the move slow and controlled, chin tucked into his chest, more of a bow than a nod. "Yes.. a prince by birth though I do not yet have the experience such a title demands." Falling silent as the young filly continued, he listened politely, glancing down as she finished, not entirely sure how to admit that he was lost.
"I often fly. I enjoy it, just soaring free... seeing the world from a different perspective. Though currently, I admit that I am lost... I have never visited this land before."

With the slight bow the stallion gave, Neria quickly let her form become straight once again, the two eyes sudying him more carefully, a warm smile carressing deeply along two slowly curled lips.
'He must of traveled sooo far!' the thought trailed, then a spur of excitement bubbled within the heart of the filly, causing the short flicks of tail strands to slip sidewards. "Does that mean that perhaps your from a far away kingdom?? Such nonesense, you are indeed deserving of such a title! I have never seen a prince so graceful."
A light chuckle escaped her, whilst playfully lifting two hooves then re-placing them against the ground. Lifting all hooves, one after the other hooves placed her into a skip and now she was skipping in circles around him before you knew it, making a better observation.
She hoped he wouldn't mind! She was just too curious.
"If you'd like, I could show you around these parts. Its the leat I can do" she mentioned softly, halting once again before him.

Ehren nodded softly in return. "Yes, my parents live far to the south of here. My father's kingdom is... some distance away." He could hardly tell her it was in another realm, some other world. At least, that was what he had finally come to believe. The Great Demon Kingdom was of a world far removed from this one, so what else could it be but a wholly different plain of existence?
Blushing suddenly at her compliment he dipped his head in gratitude. "You are too kind, ..." Pausing he blinked and looked back at her, suddenly aware that he had yet to ask her name. "Forgive me, I have been remiss, but may I enquire as to your name, M'Lady?" Soft tones asked quietly, hoping he hadn't offended her with his lack of manners.
After she had circled back and stopped before him he bowed his head, a surprised but grateful smile appearing on his muzzle. "I would be most grateful." He agreed softly, wings shifting at his sides slightly.

This was amazing! The imagination that twirled inside was just beyond what Neria could ever compare, this stallion was growing more mysterious, he came from a far off land, he was a prince, and he was so quiet and well spoken. Hmm Now things were really getting interesting!
Also realizing once the prince had pointed out the lack of an introduction, she gave a light gasp, shaking a head. "I apologize! Curiosity caught me too easily. My name is Neria, may I ask of yours?" chuckling, a happy smile was casted directly to him before, she swiftly turned, flicking her head signaling him to follow.
"This way then please! I have lots to show you dear prince. I hope it is to your liking, these lands really are beautiful."
Being called kind by him made made a smile gleam then a warm tingle run in shivers along her ivory coat, it was like an achievement, at least the manors were paying off nicely.

He couldn't help the flicker of a smile that returned to his muzzle. She was so energetic and eager, even he, so reserved and introverted, was affected by her seemingly boundless enthusiasm.
Stepping forwards to follow her he nodded softly. "Greetings Lady Neria, my name is Ehren Shibuya. Though please, call me Ehren." Lengthening his stride to draw level with her he looked down expectantly, starting to relax as the filly's boundless energy and pleasant temperament made him smile.
"I am sure they will be, and it is indeed beautiful here. Do you know what these lands are called?" He asked, curious as to where he had found himself.

"Lady?" Neria giggled cutely "thats a title I have never been referred to before, how adorable!" not being able to help herself, she watched the strides he carefully made to catch up, then walked calmly aside him.
Ehren. The name was certainly fitting to his bright features.
Flicking glances along the grassy plains that shone in an emerald glitter, a proud smile stretched wide, straitened and confident let out the sound of a name. "I think these parts are the kawani lands, the kawani village isn't too far from here. Its where the two legger roam."
It sounded like a good place to start if they were to explore. Had he seen one before? surely he must of.. "Have you seen said creatures before?" asking politely, two skylit orbs took upwards to his own in wonder.
