It'd been a busy last few days. On her first day of owning the shop, Switch attempted to clean the incredibly dusty mess and ended up being scared so badly she fell off of a ladder. The second day of owning the shop had her being traded a very unwanted half-eaten, mostly melted ice cream cone for a pair of LED gloves...not to mention her son finding a box of sex toys in a second hand curiosities shop. The third day had her change her cleaning tactics and instead tried organizing things by items; which meant she'd seen her fair share of disgusting things.
This was day four. The shop, despite being cleaned and wandered around for ten hours a day for the last three days, didn't look any cleaner or any less dusty. In fact, it looked messier than when she started. She was on the verge of giving up, but there was still that shred of hope. After all, the main desk was perfectly clean! It was the only thing that started off dusty that didn't stay dusty. If her desk could do it, so could the rest of the damned shop.
But, despite her ray of hope, she was exhausted. When she finally decided to take a break from her cleaning, she sat down at her large, elegantly decorated oak desk, and draped her torso over the cool and glossy wood. The door to the shop was wide open, propped that way with a miniature statue of one of the Terra Cotta warriors. Who cared if someone stole something? It'd be one less item she'd have to clean.
Before she knew it, her green eyes were closed and she slipped into blissful unconsciousness.

Nakari wandered the street wondering what she should do. Originally she had planned on spending a day out with her boyfriend but he'd received an urgent call from work and had had to leave almost immediately after. So too bored to stay home and too proud to go out to lunch alone (she viewed those who ate alone as pathetic and attention starved), she decided to go out and attempt to find something to pass the time.
Nakari was just about to give up on her search for something to do and go home when she spotted the shop with its door propped open. According to the sign it was a curiosities shop, Nakari really didn't understand what that meant so she decided to investigate.
Looking into the shop Kari's first thought was that it looked like a miniature Swap Meet. She grinned. She loved to look around places like this, you never knew what you'd find. "Hello?" She said as she entered. Then noticing the lady sleeping on the desk thought, I wonder if it's ok to be here...

Switch startled awake when she heard footsteps in the shop. Or rather, she startled out of her sleep, but didn't actually wake up. Sitting up, the blue haired woman rubbed her eyes and looked around, spotting the woman still near the entrance. After staring with a tired, unfocused gaze for a moment or two, she eventually stood up.
"Hello. Welcome to...uh...Balcombe Curiosities." The woman started, with a yawn. "I'm Switch...and I'm really sorry I'm not more awake." She was back to rubbing under one of her eyes with the back of her hand. "I reopened the shop four days ago an' I've been cleaning for at least ten hours a day since...an' I'm gettin nowhere." The last part was coupled with somewhat of a laugh.
"Ah, but look around, take your time, and if you need anything just ask."

Nakari laughed a little. "Sorry I startled you." She apologized as she started looking around, "If it makes you feel any better I think the place looks great the way it is...but then again I enjoy a bit of clutter. Oh and by the way I love the color of your hair." She added as an after thought as she absentmindedly ran a hand through her own.
Normally Nakari wasn't much for talking to strangers but she was bored and the shop owner seemed like an interesting person. She didn't meet many people who dyed their hair oddly bright colors like she did. For the past few months her favorite colors had been hot pink with streaks of dark red, the combining of the colors had proven to be a pain in the butt when it came to touch ups but she found she enjoyed the end results.
She walked around looking at the various items that seemed to be scattered all over the place in no particular order. She found a few books and flipped through them a little before putting them back down. I have to many to read as it is, she thought to herself before moving on.

"Oh, no worries." Switch said, waving her hand dismissively. "I should be awake anyway, its irresponsible to be sleeping at work." The woman chuckled softly, rubbing the back of her neck. A grin same to her lips when the woman brought up the shop...and the colour of her hair. "Ah...I'm a bit of a germaphobe..." She admitted sheepishly, looking away from the woman. "I don't mind the mess, I could do without the dust...and thanks, I love dying my hair. This is my favourite colour so far." As she spoke, her fingers twisted a strand of her bright blue hair. "Your hair is awesome too...that must be tough for upkeep!" Switch commented, feeling much more awake.
"Well, have fun. If you need anything let me know. Oh, and if you see a kid with curly orange hair...I'd just ignore him. I don't know where he comes from but he's kind of mean."

"Thanks, but yeah it can be quite annoying to touch up." Nakari replied as she continue to look at the various items. Nothing really caught her eye. She had just been thinking of a way to leave politely without buying anything, when something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Hanging on the wall not too far off was a dreamcatcher. It was one large ring with three smaller ones hanging from it, the black and brown of the rims holding the netting contrasted beautifully with the bright blue and lavender feathers that hung on the smaller rings. She walked over to it and then turned her head back towards the shop owner. "Hey, how much for this dreamcatcher?" She asked, pointing to the one she meant.

Switch, in the meantime, had gone back to her desk. There was a feeble attempt at going through some of the pieces of paper that was in the bottom drawer of the desk. If the woman had wanted to politely leave, this Shop keeper definitely wouldn't have noticed. There were a lot of papers, and most of them made no sense to her.
She let out a little cry of surprise when a sudden pulsing feeling went through her entire body, just once. It happened every time an item attached itself to a person, however it almost always caught her off guard. Taking a moment to calm herself down, Switch stood up and put the stack of papers she was looking through back onto the desk
"Uhm...That...That's free of charge." There was a little pause; she looked like she had more to say. Twice now she had been yelled at, and twice now she'd gotten unbelievably angry at someone. "Uhm...but p-please remember that if anything happens, its not my fault." That was the best she could get out without getting silenced by that unseen force in the shop.

Nakari raised an eyebrow when Switch told her it was free. That's kind of odd. She thought to herself, but she wasn't one to ask questions when she was getting something for nothing. She was about to shrug it off when Switch spoke again. Huh? 'If anything happens'? Maybe it's really old and fragile... And so figuring this was the case, put the comment out of her mind and carefully took the dreamcatcher down from the wall. "Well thank you for your time." She said as she started for the door.

"You're welcome, have a good night!" Switch called out, waving after the woman. "Be careful on your way home~"
