Bassoons and oboes are always left out because of their annoyingness.
It's so sad.

I like alto instruments becase I think that alto is a good range, and it has the most potential for carrying good melodies. Or harmonies. Alto always gets the best harmonies, too. I do not say this for any instrumental reasons (I play the flute).

kerushi_rii Oboe of course! It is one of the best. heart I love my [school's] oboe heart Same with me, but I heart my own Oboe! ((yes, I know, wierd, a boy oboe player...))Pup in Fluff Nobody cares about the oboe me... in my band because oboes can be replaced by muted trumpets. I know how it feels...muted trumpets are no substitution for the real instruments!

Ah, the other tenor and I always get so ignored during concert season, even though we sit almost directly in the middle of the band. We've gone entire period where we only play once or twice. So the rest of the time we just sit and mess around. I love the tenor, even if we do get stuck playing annoying bass clarinet parts a lot of the time (no offense to any bass clarinetists, of course ninja ).

I play Bass Trombone. I still play the same music as the rest just I can go lower. The only reason why I'm using it is because my trombone's spit valve fell off and I have to use the school's. I love my Fernando, though.
