(This is a combination of Shem and Jyu's stickies, so if something sounds un-Shem-ish or un-Jyu-ish, it's most likely the other.)
To answer the questions that've been asked:
1) This guild was founded in thread form around Chanuka time(late November), 2003, by oh em jyu. It was turned into GGN form on January 13th, 2005 by Angsty Shem.
2) Yes, this is the "new place." It has a slightly different name ("Jewish Gaians' Guild" instead of "The Jew Guild") so that the old thread won't be deleted under the GGN's no-spam/recruitment thread policy.
3) Why? Shem got Jyu this because he figured she'd like it better than an item. And she did. A whole lot better. Plus, it's high time the Jewish Gaians have a place to come together and discuss Judaism. With Gaia's large population of Nazis and Nazi guild members, we needed something larger than an almost-dead thread to combat a lot of the anti-Semitism present.
This guild will be designed primarily to discuss Jewish things- culture, events, holidays, simchas, happenings. It will also be a place to discuss non-religous things from a Jewish perspective- the turn of the century, politics, political issues, the enviornment, movies... for you, whatever.
4) The entire "Jew Guild" thread's memberlist has been invited to join here, plus a few Jewish friends of Shem's. Three usernames from the thread's first post did not work, though. If you know the current accounts of users "made of silk," "Nechma," and "[domo]," get ahold of them and let them know.
5) Your guild crew is Kiashana, angelic_elfy, darkphoenix1247, kaophyre, Nathan_Ngl, and Silverah. The crew will tolerate no schmuckery- any putz who wants to mess with this guild will get such a patch... when they wake up, their clothes will be out of style.

Nathan_Ngl
Nathan will be an awesome addition to crew- not only is male, which again proves the non-sexist attitudes here, but is also another non-American and helps balance things out even more. While a little new overall, he has consistently shown good grammar and spelling in his posts, helped avoid several angry catastrophes, and has a lot of knowledge of Judaism! Nathan's posts are a pleasure to read, and he is also active in this guild, which is a definite bonus blaugh . Everybody please welcome him to crew!
Silverah
Silverah has been here for a long time, and will surely help a lot with her experience. She also uses good grammar and spelling, which is again, a definite bonus! While not enormously active as people who live on Gaia, she is still fairly active and will be a great help to the guild! Silverah's experience also helps because she knows when and what to help others with, and is always willing to give a helping hand to anybody in need. Please give a happy shalom to Silverah, our new crew!
Kiashana
HEY LIKE WE DIDN'T ALL SEE THIS COMING. With kao's changing living arrangements she's not really able to be that active here, and besides I want Kia to help out anyway cous she's rad. Kia's a wonderful, amazing person who is extremely active and will no doubt be a huge help to this guild. Her posts are always a joy to read and she knows what's expected of this guild and its members. So let's all give a warm shalom to Kiashana's new position as a crew member. <3
Amitzah
Shem, due to some IRL issues and the stress of owning 3/4 of Gaia, has opted out of modding this here JGG. He requested that Amitzah be his replacement, and, after consultation with kao and angelic, I am pleased to announce she's our newest crew member. As you know, BlueBerry_RK is one of the guild crew, but unfortunately she's not very active. sweatdrop We do still need a Hebrew-speaking crew member to help out with problems concerning members b'ivrit, so I thought it would be best to choose a new one. :3
The person I came up with was angelic elf, for the following reasons.
A) He speaks Hebrew
B) He speaks English very well
C) He's very active in the guild
D) He knows how to organize things- he started the mishalach manos basket idea
E) He's male, and gender balance is always good xp
