"Better not have messed your leg up for good, stupid." The recruit grumbled quietly, to no one in particular. Russell's foot still dragged as he finished his lap around the field. His gait was still uneven, favor going to the injured left. He had wanted just one more lap for the day, determined that he should work out the problem as quickly as possible.
"It's way too early for me to be getting old," he continued to talk inwardly, mounting the steps (with a newfound respect for the people who flitted up and down without a care in the world). As if the thing was a creature unto it's own, it seemed to realize that he was attempting to conquer the thing that had made it weak, and his leg chose that moment, when he barely balanced between two steps, to seize up.
The cramp passed, but the indignity of having fallen for the second time in a very short while on the steps remained. Instead of trying to get back up and get back on the horse, Russ stretched out over a few of the steps. The edges scratched at his back, but the teenager refused to move to anything more comfortable. For a moment, he wondered what would happen if E walked by, but the thought was silenced with a knife to it's throat and a scowl flitting over his face before being quickly replaced by indifference.
Also, he noted inwardly, as far as he was concerned, he had won round two.

Keiran ran at full speed down the halls of the female dormitories, screaming like a frightened girl as he raced down the path with arms flailing wildly behind him. Green eyes were wide with slight fear for his life, though confusion was still clear within the emerald orbs. But what shone most brightly through his eyes was excitement, the adrenaline pumping through his veins as his mind embraced the endorphins sending pleasant feelings through his body. Running away was starting to look like a very fun thing to do.
For behind him was a mad rush of girls, most covered in nothing but a towel as Keiran continued to run from the rampaging females. One might be very confused by the events if it hadn't been for the decidedly feminine underwear in his hands. But it wasn't his fault, really, Lora had told him that the best way to trap the faeries was with brassieres, so he had sought some out. Nobody had told him that there would be a herd of she-demons attached to said trapping tools.
The voices behind him died down as they reached the stairs, which proved to be the boundary between decency and public humility. Keiran slowed to a job as he risked a glance back his shoulder, breathing a deep sigh of relief as the girls quickly ran back to their showers. Unforuntately, he failed to realize that he had reached the stairs and promptly missed the first step, which leaded to him sliding halfway down the stairs and above Russell.
An empty 'thunk' resounded as his head hit the edge of the step that the other recruit was lying on, and Keiran released a loud "OWWIE!!" Sniffling at the pain, he imagined this was what a fairy felt like when they flew into a tree.

Feminine screams reached his ears. That many girls screaming was bound to bring attention to the dorms via the teachers or the Drill Sergeant and the hell was he getting blamed for the female recruits' unhappiness. He had rolled on his side slightly, putting his hands on the stairs to try and push himself up when the cause for distress showed himself.
He barely had enough time to register the name of the other recruit when he became aware that the other could fly. For very short periods of time. Down stairs. Russ's first instinct was to move out of the way, but the sudden spike in activity caused his leg to seize up again, and the most he could do was move unheroically back the slightest bit to avoid being hit.
The 'thunk', combined with Keiran's exclamation sent his body into sudden movement. 'Catch me when I fall, Russ.' 'Always, E.' His hand formed into a fist, the fabric of the boy's shirt caught in. He pulled back hard enough to keep him from moving any further down the stairs. His heart raced as he noted with the slightest hint of amusement that the stairs were out for blood.
Russ's mind frantically hoped that the other hadn't broken his spine as he leaned over the recruit. "Hey," he said, sternly and without amusement, "open up. Eyes, open. Now." If the pupils were badly mismatched, Keiran might have a concussion, and that was the single thought flitting through his head.

For the moment, all that raced through Keiran's head were flying faeries and dancing dandelions. But that wasn't really cause for worry since he always had such images running around his head; if anything, the sweet sugarplums were missing from the usual carasoul. Nevertheless, when he opened his eyes, Keiran could only see white spots for the first few seconds before a blurry face found itself hovering over him.
Blinking a few times to adjust his vision, Keiran narrowed his eyes at the boy, trying to figure out if this was a girl who had managed to catch. Nowadays, you could never tell who was a guy and who was a girl - in fact, he'd been accused of being feminine several times, which was why Lora managed to convince him that he could sneak into the girls' bathroom easily. And that idea went straight to hell the moment he snatched all the brassieres.
Speaking of which, Keiran glanced down at his hands and there they were, three beautiful (and colorful) bras were still gripped between his fingers. He'd seemed to have lost half his stash on the run, but three was better than nothing. Glancing back at Russell, he wondered why the other recruit was holding onto his shirt. "Hi there, did Lorie send you to help me catch the faeries?"
With a cheerful smile, completely unphased by falling down the stars and the slight throbbing in the back of his head (since this was a daily occurence), Keiran pulled himself upright so that he sat on one of the steps. Then he offered out one of the bras, a pink one to be exact, to Russell. "Here, you'll need this if you want to catch a fairy."

The silence was eerie, and the older was tempted to shake the other. Russ figured at least one of the girls would have rushed to get dressed to come and confront the thief, but it seemed that they were neglecting that duty for the moment. He ought to reprimand the younger recruit, but Russ was aware that, once the fear that Keiran had seriously hurt himself passed, the situation would probably be quite funny.
Okay, so the eyes were opening, and, so far as he could tell, there didn't seem to be severe mismatching. The sigh of relief released was quiet, but present. His grip released slowly, enough to ensure that his... guest really was parked on the stairs with him.
The question didn't baffle him so much as the fact that the other seemed unfazed by his crash landing. "Uhhh..." He trailed off for a moment. Oh, just go on. Not like studying's any more interesting, he thought to himself. "No. Thought you had that covered, as a matter of fact. Just here to keep an eye out for them for you, and, sad to say, they seems to be invisible for the moment."
The lie, no, more like the playing along made him smile. It was childish, yes, but, he supposed he was allowed small moments of that until if he bonded. When the bra was offered, Russ glanced at it for a moment before pushing it the slightest bit back. "Don't think I can."

"A-hem," coughed a female voice from the top of the staircase. Leaning against the wall, with a huge scowl fitted on her face, was a female recruit, wearing nothing but a purple towel over her curvaceous body. Her brown hair dripped water onto the floor, but she didn't seem to mind - in fact, she had no show of embarrassment on her face at all. The only emotion she gave was rage, pure and simple. Her deep purple eyes blazed with a fierceness that could shatter glass. Taking a step closer to the two boys, she pointed accusingly at Keiran. "I believe that is MINE," she hissed through clenched teeth, indicating the pink bra he held.

Keiran smiled innocently as he waited for Russ's reply, mind working quickly over how to revamp his strategy now that there were two of them involved in the possible capture of those elusive faeries. If one could hear the gears working in his mind, they would be thoroughly surprised to find that Keiran was quite intelligent if not for his overpowering childish nature. But then he did manage to stay in the Academy for this long, so the Drill Sergeant must've seen some potential behind all the insanity.
"Oh," he responded with disappointment, face falling as his companion rejected the offer to share the trapping tool. Keiran's eyes shone with unshed tears and his lips start quivering, threatening to cry at any moment. But the sadness was soon interrupted by the suspiciously feminine cough that came from the top of the stairs. He didn't dare look at what evil girliness was up there right now.
But when she spoke up, Keiran simply had to glance up to see what she was talking about, and the half naked girl was pointing at the pink bra in his hand. With a blink, he quickly threw the said bra onto Russ's head before grabbing the other recruit with his free hand and pulling the other boy along as he ran down the stairs. "Quick, run away!"

The sight of the sad face made the smile fade from his own. The normal annoyance he would have felt at seeing a recruit cry was replaced with guilt. He had been trying to play along and did he just have to fail at everything as of late?!
The cough from the top of the stairs stopped any reconciliation efforts and he could almost feel time stand still as he turned to look up the stairs. Okay, so maybe all of the girls weren't neglectful in seeing to getting back at underwear thieves. That was good to know.
Russ could have taken a moment to appreciate the barely covered Keeva - he was a teen-aged male with an inclination towards the female gender, ladies - but a sudden tug jerked him to his feet. He didn't have enough time to complain nor focus on the pain that shot up his leg, but he stumbled after Keiran, not noticing his current choice of headgear for the moment.
He pushed the pain into the back of his mind, no longer dragging behind, but running with the younger recruit as an accomplice. "She won't follow," you, "us outside." He said for their ears alone, glancing behind him at Keeva (and daring for a moment to let the klutz drive), grabbing the bra off the top of his head.

"Oh HELL NO," Keeva shrieked, watching the two speed off down the stairs. She took a step forward, only to jump back into the hall's shelter. She wanted that bra back, but there was no way she'd chase two stupid boys across the academy in a wet towel. The tip of her ears turned a nasty shade of red as she sucked in deep gulps of air. "You two are SO going to pay for this!" With a flip of her wet hair, she stalked back to the shower room to dress, murder on her mind.
A few moments later she appeared at the staircase again, this time clothed in a white button-up shirt and a pair of indigo dyed pants. Her wet hair was now swept up into a bun, but her eyes still flamed. Quickly jetting down the stairs, she asked a nearby recruit where to two had gone. Noting the direction, she followed her prey.

"Didn't you know that girls hold grudges forever?" Keiran responded as he continued to tug the other boy along, though he slowed down his pace when Keeva failed to follow. But his eyes darted around as he looked for a good hiding place, or at least a place to stash the bras for now. He had gone through a lot of work (and suffering) to get them and he wouldn't let them be taken back so easily.
Turning sharply into the kitchen, Keiran finally released Russ's hand as he dashed into the kitchen. The cooks glanced at him with little surprise since he often flew in there for unthinkable reasons, but they didn't expect the blonde to walk in with bras in hand. But Keiran paid the quizzical glances no mind as he quickly threw the bras into the oven, failing to realize that there was a pot roast currently in there.
Rushing back outside, he glanced at Russ and motioned him over. "Hide before she finds us!" Then Keiran ducked under a table of six recruits, burrowing herself in between their legs and peering out from under a chair, eyes scanning the room for a certain brunette.

Kaela squealed, horrified, as two older boys, one of whom she recognized with a slight pulse of fear, stampeded into the kitchen with a stash of--were those bras?! She only got a glance of the brightly-colored things before Keiran shoved them in the oven--ruining the pot roast she'd just placed inside. Here she'd been helping the poor overworked cooks, trying to be useful, and even here the opposite gender would come and destroy everything.
Anger was not quite in accordance with her persona, perhaps because she'd never had a chance to be much more but frightened in the past. So when the emotion flared up she knew not what to do with it. Her pale blue ringlets, for once tied loosely out of her face while she worked, whipped sharply around as she turned and ran--right before Keiran dragged his unwilling accomplice out into the cafeteria behind her. Were they following her?
The unfamiliar feeling lessened, but didn't fade away, as she slowed and looked back. The blond had vanished but for a huge commotion at one table, and she felt an urge to find him--to tell him how cruel he was to destroy what others put so much effort into. For some reason the Drill Sergeant and his wolf flashed through her mind as she made her way through the bustle of recruits in her own shy form of pursuit.

The threat that reached his ears made his nose crinkle slightly. In all technicalities, all he was doing was running. He hadn't stolen anything (he hadn't given it back, either), all he was doing was playing devil's advocate. For once, he wasn't so bothered by being terrible by association.
"Ick, forgot about that for a second," Russ slowed with the other, watching over his shoulder as Keeva stormed off. His hand released, Russ whipped his head back, a flurry of dark hair poofing at the motion. He waited outside for a beat, becoming aware of two things. One, he was being seen by his fellows like this, in company of a spaz and with a bra in his hand. Two, that the sudden movement was going to slow him down considerably now.
The first problem was solved by simple lack of caring. Compressing the brassiere, he stuffed it awkwardly in his pocket, feeling it press against his hurt leg. Keiran's voice made his head lift again, only to find the recruit already scampering under a table. A quick mental note he made of the girl who seemed to have her eyes intently trained on the younger. Whatever he'd done had made her angry, not that it surprised Russ.
Hide, right. Where? He couldn't bend his leg to scamper under a table, nor was the larger teen inclined to do so. Plain sight. Smoothing his hair back in an attempt to make himself harder to recognize, he sat at one of the dining tables, away from where Keiran had hid. Leaning his elbows on the table, he rested his head on his hands, jumping into the theme of the current conversation. His eyes flickered between those he attempted to hide among and the door, waiting for Keeva to show.

[OoC: One week waiting for Kira over, since her computer seems to not want to rid itself of that virus, lol. I shall assume Keeva hasn't caught up yet. ^^]
Quietly waiting for Russ to join him, Keiran noticed that the occupants of the table he had deemed his hiding spot were chattering loudly and ducking their heads under to get a look at him. But that certainly wouldn't do since they were simply attracting more attention to him. "Shh~ be quiet! Don't let the girls I hid their bras in the stove." That received a round of laughter from the boys at the table, and fortunately for the young blond, there were only boys at the table.
A sudden shuffling of feet caught his attention, and Keiran watched silently as Kaela walked towards him. But he mistook her for Keeva and he quickly determined an escape route. Scanning the legs around him, he found an opening on the opposite and crawled through the crack, making his way on all fours as he continued to weave his way through a sea of unsuspecting legs. A few squeals and screams were heard as he ducked under a few skirts, but he wasn't paying attention to that.
Keiran had spotted Russ and was crawling straight for the other boy. Finding his way under Russ's table, he reached over and tugged at the recruit's pant legs. "Psst, what're you doing?" he whispered as he stuck his head between Russ's legs, unaware of the awkward position he had put them into. "You're supposed to be hiding, not sitting in plain view and eating!"

A flutter of pink caught her eye, and she glanced aside for an instant at the dark-haired boy just slipping a bra into his pocket. Instantly her vision clouded over and she found herself locked in her room again, saw Aston grinning sardonically with a bra dangling in his hand before he pocketed it with a wink. She had refused to play his games and he stole her clothes, forcing her to submit to his sick desires in order to get them back. That was the night he became violent and abusive, and the night he’d gotten her with child, or so she thought. It had happened so many more times after that, she could hardly know for sure…
Her bravery completely shattered, she instinctively shrank away and bolted towards the nearest familiar face--Keiran--before he headed in the direction of the dark-haired boy. She froze, glancing from one to the other like a cornered rabbit though neither was even looking at her. Then the moment subsided and she saw again two fellow Recruits, not a shadow of a nightmare.
((lamepost... crying I got stucked.))

There was movement. Russ followed the girl carefully, aware that she looked like a deer in a flashlight, scared. His legs twitched, and, as he resolved to move to see if she was all right, but his moves were interrupted by Keiran's voice.
Glancing down between his legs at where the head had popped out from, he felt his face heat up immensely. Had he been a little less on the side of the personality spectrum he inhabited, he might have yelled at Keiran for this. As it was, he was less caring about what this could be perceived as. He was more concerned that he just didn't want the boy there.
"Never heard of hiding in plain sight? What do they teach here?!" Russ hissed back, the sarcasm hinting that he was playing. Placing his hand lightly on Keiran head, he gave a small push back towards the direction of his body.
When Russ glanced up, he found himself again looking at the girl again, who looked still stunned for a moment before seeming to come back from where ever she went. 'You okay?' He mouthed at her, not wanting to shout across the room and draw attention to her, but still wanting to make sure she was fine.
