"Daddy, I'm gonna go out and pay, I was thinking of going to find Kilah, I miss her. I think I wanna go to the store too, so gimme money please. I like that funny yellow money!" Junketsu was sitting on a chair in the entrance hall, PJ leaning against the wall watching as she got ready to go out.
"Sweety, thats not money, thats a credit card. And nope, can't have that one, but I will give you some money, wait right here dear. PJ left for his room and returned in only a few minutes with a wad of moeny. "Here, thats about $100, don't waste it. And be careful sweety. Don't stray to far away okay? And make sure you meet up with Kilah like you said."
"Yeah, okay. Bye bye daddy, I love you." Junketsu pocketed the money and headed out the door, now where did Akilah live again? Well, maybe she would just find her.

As fate would have it, Kilah wasn't all that far. Considering how loud she was she certainly wouldn't be hard to hear from a few miles away. She and a few other kids were nestled in an alley between some closed down shop and an old antique store. "I told you I'd break it, now pay up."
The two boys grumbled and each shoved the $20 in her hand. Kilah was learning well to exploit her lack of vision. She'd gotten that whole $40 for getting away with breaking a vase worth $200 in the store just beside them. She'd purposely knocked it over, and when the owner came out put on a semi-pathetic act, claiming she was sorry and that her eye dog had just died.
For one, she never had an eye dog to begin with. However, Gizmo was in fact present, laying in the shadows just a few feet from the children, watching them with dissaproving eyes. Poor thing put up with so much...

As Junketsu made her way from her house, she heard a very familiar voice, and several not so familiar voices.. "Heya Kilah, that over there?" Following the sounds of the voices Junketsu slowly walked into the alleyway. She kept an eye out looking one way to another. What a seedy place this was. "Kilah? You here? We really should go...it doesn't seem safe here..."

"Junketsu?" Kilah asked the air infront of her. Close up it became more apparent the other 'children' weren't quite children after all. Teenagers, in fact, the one looking about 15 and the other a year or so younger. It made sense. Kilah looked older than she was, and being a good liar could get away fooling people into it.
"Who's the brat?" One asked dully, then fumbled back as the Sin'aeis punched him roughly in the shoulder.
"Go away," Kilah demanded hurriedly.
"What? Wh-"
"I SAID piss off, b***h," she hissed more forcefully. The two boys exchanged glances and glared at her, but just the same obeyed and left, the younger calling over his shoulder watching her break that thing wasn't so cool anyway.
"Junketsu, what the hell are you doing out here?" Of course it wasn't safe. Not for her. She was a ba--Oh, wait, she must've gotten older. Yay logic. "Oh, you got bigger. That's good."

"wow...Kilah you scared those people away...what were you doing back here? We should go...like now." Junketsu grabbed Kilah by the arm, she didn't like it back here.
"I got money from my daddy, come on we can spend it and stuff. He gave me this much." Going through her pocket she finally pulled out the $100 and shoved it into Akilah's fist. "And yeah! I got loads bigger! And I'm really pretty, and I learned how to get daddy to give me money and buy me junk. Its fun, lets go...come one I don't like the dark at all...please come one."

Kilah raised an eyebrow. She couldn't see the surroundings but they couldn't be that bad. Shrugging, she pocketed all the money in her hands and whistled over her shoulder toward Gizmo. He'd catch up. For now she allowed herself to be pulled...wherever. "Alright, alright," she grumbled.
Outside the alley wasn't all that bad--apparently there was something about them that freaked people out. Kilah herself didn't, and probably never would, understand it. "Your protector let's you run around with money?" Now THAT wasn't safe.

Pulling Akilah out of the alley Junketsu stopped and threw it one more distgusted look. "You know, all sorts of bad stuffs is in there, like dirt, and the dark. And some times even people who try and steal you from your home." Junketsu looked up and down the street, they should go do something, but what?
"Yep, daddy let me go out. But thats because he thought I was going straight to your house, I said I wanted to play with you today. He said it was okay as long as I called him when I got there, probably should still do that I guess ...but he didn't know I would be in an icky place like that though, so whadda wanna do now?"

"Do you even know where I live?" Kilah asked, then seconds later waved her hand and dismissed the question. Even if she did it wouldn't have mattered. The house had burned down this morning so there was nothing to 'go straight to' anyway. For the record, it was so totally NOT her fault.
As expected Gizmo caught up quickly, keeping a steady pace behind them. The sidewalk wasn't wide enough for him to walk beside Kilah like he'd prefer, but he could deal for now.
Kilah shrugged. "I don't know. Do you have something specific in mind?" Maybe she'd said something already and she hadn't heard. Truthfully she was only half-listening. Someone else had burned the house down, not her...
Maybe Kotoki... Stupid boy.

((Oh, I needa go. Be back tomorrow <3))
"Your house...nope, I suppose I don't. I'm sure I would find it eventually anyway..."Junketsu waved her hand dismissivly, its no big. She would have eventually found her way.
"Hey thats Gizmo! I kinda remember you, your like a big puppy! I like you." Junketsu nodded and turned back to Akilah. "Um...nohing in mind really, I do kind of wanna go shopping! Shopping is my favorite ever. You can share my money with me. So come on." Again Junketsu seized Kilah's hand and began heading down the street. "Whadda you wanna get? Or we could go some where."

Gizmo's ears perked up as he heard his name. Well good, it's about time someone gave him a little praise!
"Uh, yeah..." Shopping? Aw, ********, she hated that. It was like a form of torture almost. She could suffer through it one more she, she supposed. Best get use to it. Twila was forcing the entire 'family' to go waste time in stores more and more lately. "I'm don't really care," she admitted. "Wherever you wanna go is fine."

"Gizmo, you can fly still? I 'member when I was little you could." Junketsu looked at his wings and nodded, yep wing. That means something can fly.
"Well, we'll think of something. Lets go to the beach maybe?...Hey...you have feathers, does that mean you can fly? Birdies can fly because they have feather!" Junketsu skipped slightly ahead of Akilah and looked back with a smile. "You know where the beach is?"

"Wark," answered the griff with a nod of his head. He didn't see why he wouldn't be able to. He was amazing in flight! Or, he thought so at least. It was amazing how many times his wings had been broken already. Luckily, they recovered pretty fast and hadn't damaged his ability in the air any.
"Alright," Kilah agreed, then to the question shook her head. "No, I can't fly. My wings aren't strong enough." They were hardly wings. Feathers running along her arm was more like it. "Some birds can't fly," she explained, trying not to sound bored. "Chickens can't fly--or at least not very high or very long--and that's what my element is." Besides, what good what it do? She'd just run into things.
Again, she shook her head. "No, but you sound like you do." What the hell was a 'beach', anyway?

Nodding at the Griff with a smile Junketsu began to once again adress it. "That sounds like fun, maybe some day you can teach me how to fly, and we can fly to the mall!"
"Oh...I learned about ostriges! They are birdies to, but they can't fly either." Junketsu looked puzzled, how could one not know what a beach was? They were so much fun! She had went to one once with daddy when she was a baby. "You know, a place with sand and water...and there is sun and alot of fun to! Isn't there one near here? Daddy and I went ti ine a while ago. If there isn't one near here maybe Gizmo can make us fly there?"

"That sounds really ******** boring," Kilah said bluntly, refering to both the mall and the beach. Besides, wasn't the beach the place with all that water? Ick. Akilah Kther was not a fan of water, thankyouverymuch. That happened when you were almost drowned, I suppose.
"Actually," she continued without a breath, her voice more thoughtful now. "The mall would be alright. I need to get presents for people for this 'Christmas' s**t, and since I can't see you can help me do it. Gizmo's got no taste."
"Wark!" The griff complained, though not too much knowing well it was true. He didn't understand the whole human interest in objects thing...

Junketsu raised her eyebrow, Kilah sure was a colorful young kid wasn't she? What with the swears and such. Junketsu liked that, Kilah is such a very fun girl. "I see... If you wanna go to the mall I can like totally help! I know whats pretty stuff, I actually should buy some things to. Christmas is kinda soon isn't it..."
Junketsu patted the griff on the head and smiled. "Its okay, you can have bad taste your funny so its okay. Akilah, you think Gizmo knows his way to the mall? I don't remember.."
