this thread is for a discussion on who you want your team to get and why. It is also a discussion of why you think your team would need that person and what you feel your teams needs are.

I will start. I feel that Philadelphia needs a RB to back up and spell Westbrook. I would like to see Philadelphia re-sign Buckhalter and sign Derrick Ward from the NY Giants. The Giants are most likely going to franchise tag Brandon Jacobs. Derrick Ward would most likely like to go someplace that would grant him a bigger opportunity to get more carries or to start, but wont find many places. Most teams have the RB's they want or need so he would go someplace that would allow him to get a good chance to get into the post season and succeed. I think that Philadelphia would be a good place to go. After the Baltimore game this past season Andy Reid showed more of a commitment to the run to help the pass. So by doing that, if they were to retain the services of Buckhalter, they would be able to have more of a threat on the ground and would have the possible short yardage back they need. If they dont do that, I would prefer them to address that need in the Draft. As for the WR position, I feel that they have all the necessary tools to make it anywhere. But I would not mind if they tried to make a trade to bring in Anquon Boldin. He would be very invaluable. But if they do that, that would seriously leave a blackhole for the other WR's. How do they keep all of them. They would have Hank Baskett (who I know they would love to keep but would be a great #2 on any team), Reggie Brown (who is gone anyways), Kevin Curtis (they will keep with no question), DeSean Jackson (very easily one of the best Rookies in the league), Greg Lewis (possibly gone), Jason Avant (has turned into probably the best 'Slot' reciever with sure hands). They could probably use like 2 of them for a deal (Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown) and a draft pick or another player. Either way, it does matter in the short run. WR position was a real threat for other teams. Safety position, I feel Dawkins may be back for another year or two, but they will need to fill that position in the next couple years. The OT's on the other hand are a problem. If they cant re-sign Thomas or Runyan, they will look in FA or the draft. But that will either be a position of weakness or strength.

Your thoughts?

What are your position's for your team?

my 3 teams are the raiders, cowboys, and texans.

raiders: with the 7th pick, i want them to get a a tackle, either the one from alabama, ole miss or baylor or brian orakpo DE Texas or Maluga LB USC, but definitely Crabtree WR Texas Tech if he drops that low

For the texans at 15 i want them to get the CB from iilinois or a RB to complement Steve Slaton cause near the end of the year, they had to rest slaton due to fatigue.

and with your eagles thoughts i think greenne the RB from Iowa would be perfect, a huge power back to pound the defense to make the load eaisier for westbrook

I want Panthers to get a good DE, a good MLB, and praying for a new QB.

DE-Because John Fox is a idiot and is not re-signing him

MLB-Beason is a beast, but I want to get someone like Dan Morgan on our Defense since Morgan left.

QB-Because of the Cardinals game, the proved our QB is truely an idiot and we need a new, fresh, excellent, starter.

if your calling john fox an idiot for not resigning peppers then you dont know the situation. Jullius will NOT sign to a deal so if they want to keep him they have to franchise him, which costs 17 MILLION in cap room so they cant sign jordan gross and it totally screw them finantially

You think I don't know that? I read the ******** article buddy.

The whole problem with getting that RB would be he will most likely be off the board. The RB from Pitt though would still be on the board by the end of the 1st round and would may even be there almost through the second. I was looking through some of the mock drafts and i saw they were thinking the Eagles were going to possibly get the TE Pettigrew. It would be a very nice pick. The Guy is 6'6" and about 230+lbs. Him and Celek would be terrors. If Celek were to work on his blocking, Philly would have two blocking, recieving TE's who are physical and can get through the first 2 tackles.

If the Panthers choose not to try and re-sign Peppers, I would like Philly to try and pick him up. Peppers is big enough to play both the DE and DT positions and would be an almost perfect fit for Philly. He loves to blitz and he can sniff out the run better than most. Looking at the FA list, I think that if Philly does not get Boldin, they should re-sign Baskett who is a FA and sign Marques Colston. He would be a good down field threat.

You proved why you can't sign Julius Peppers. If you keep Gross, there's no money for Peppers to tag him and he's not going to sign. That's not Fox's fault.

I want the Niners to take Peppers. Lol. If you're a defensive guy, you just look at the Niners and you're like.. "AH SHNAPS! IT'S SINGLETARY! I'M SIGNIN'!!!" Lol. Especially if you're a linebacker. Haha.

I don't much care who gets Pep. I just hope he's happy wherever he goes. Like I said, you don't want a person on your team that doesn't want to be there.

That would be around 1/3 of the leagues players. Look at TO. One moment he does not want to be on the team, the next he does. Chad Johnson, I could keep going on. Fact is, if you team does not treat you right, the play will want to leave. Look at the Lito Sheppard situation for Philadelphia. He wanted more money or he wanted out. Philly told him this year that he has a contract and will play for Philadelphia.

Well, then when they become free agents they can make their own choices.
