Madoa was out hunting, but she was certainly not out hunting big or typical game. She had wandered quite far, looking for a very specific color of flower. She had found a couple patches of rather nice flowers already, but they were not what she was looking for. She had walked through one and found out the hard way that they had thorns to protect them from such intrusions. However, she was not deterred from her task. Whatever she was planning that day, as went for most days, was top priority and she was always optimistic. Until she thought of the next idea, however partially formed.

"Now, where's this sweet smell going to lead me?" she murmured, lifting her head high to sniff at the air. There were some flowers nearby, she was sure of it!

Antigone was travel warn and her demeanor was unusually blue. Leaving her family so quickly qas turning out to be a bad idea after all and her adolescent had shed from her quickly, she was an adult now, she'd felt before that she was pretending to be an adult before reaching this point.

She walked quietly keeping her eyes ahead of her, perhaps today she would meet someone interesting, someone she could ask questions of and learn from. she had met a leopardess on her travels that was quite odd and she had met a few hares and birds that had interesting takes on life. Her nose prickled with a pungent aroma of something she had never smelled before, some exotic flower she could investigate.

Maddie jogged along, her head held high and her nose even higher. It was an awkward angle to search for flowers on the ground from, but it seemed to work for her. She had no idea anybody was nearby, her focus was entirely on the scent of the flowers and not of any strangers that might be passing by. When the bright color of a small group of unusually strong-scented flowers came into her peripheral vision, her head dropped and she picked up the pace to go investigate. From a distance, the colors looked promising!

The strain of being alone always briefly disappeared as she started on an investigation, she was determined to find the source of the wonderful scent Antigone dropped her nose and inhaled through her nose deeply.

She followed the scent of the interesting flower and then buried her face into a small patch of tiny yellow and green foliage. She wondered what they were, if anyone had a name for them, or if any creatures ate them for nutrients. She kept inhaling with her eyes closed.

Still unusually focused on the task before her, Madoa gave no indication of noticing another lioness by the flowers when she approached. Instead, she stood about a step away and stared intently at the flowers. They were not in fact what she was looking for, and it showed in her expression.

"Well," she muttered, frowning, "I could just.. hmm.."

Perhaps she did not need to find one flower with all the colors. She could instead use individual flowers of each color and combine them somehow. Then she could move onto the third step..!

Antigone jumped as a voice spoke near her and she opened her eyes, "Could just?" She asked the stranger inquisitively, what was she interested in these sweet smelling flowers for? And what was that around her neck? Antigone turned her bright blue eyes on the stranger and blinked. What were the strange markings on her? The new lioness greatly intrigued the lioness.

"They smell wonderful don't they?"

Despite Antigone speaking to her, Madoa Waya took no apparent notice of it as she considered her plan. She ran a paw across the flowery petals thoughtfully, deciding that would have to be the way she went about this little plan of hers. Yes, that was her only option unless she found what she was looking for on her way back. She looked up as she thought about her route back- and then she did seem to take notice of Antigone.

"They do, just perfect," she agreed, indicating that she had in fact heard her as well. She paused, smiling at Antigone, and then she leaned down to the flowers and plucked a couple from the dirt and awkwardly poked at them to the pouch on her necklace. It was just more convenient, flowers smelled nice but they were not tasty.

The lioness' odd behaviors made antigone rock back and forth awkwardly, "What are you putting those in? Why don't you just carry them? Where are you going with them?" she asked and kept her eyes on the lioness. Antigone was used to her cousins, aunt, and mother she was not exactly used to meeting many new people. Being away from her family may also have stunted her social skills.

"What do you need them for?"

It wasn't easy, stuffing the flowers into her pouch, but she managed it well enough. One flower seemed to be stuck between the necklace and her neck, though, and she paid it no attention. It would get where she was going and that was what was important in the adolescent's mind. All the questions that Antigone had for her, though, seemed to draw more attention from her than the others.

"It's easier to carry them like this, it would just get ridiculous carrying them all in my mouth!" she explained with a laugh, "I'm going back the way I came, the others are back there, I need them too!"

She explained nothing else and turned, skipping off back the way she had come.

Antigone was happy to hear the adolescent answer a question, but her spirits fell when just one of her inquiries was answered. Didn't this female know that you're supposed to answer questions? She started to follow and kept pace with the brown female.

"What are back here more flowers? Where are we heading?" The less response she was given the more intrigued she became, perhaps the female was keeping secrets, or playing a game. Antigone had not played a game in quite a few months.

Madoa Waya was perfectly friendly but she was extremely awkward in social situation- and completely oblivious to that fact. She mostly seemed to ignore those around her and go about her own merry way, though she responded best to questions. Deep and well thought out responses, especially in relation to whatever she was actually up to, were extremely uncommon.

"Yes, more flowers will have to do," she said, almost as though expecting Antigone already knew what the aim of this adventure was. She didn't say much else until she reached the next patch of flowers, a pale blue color. She examined them, and looked up at the sky, then back- and then at Iggy. Perhaps, while she had someone here..

"What do you think? Are these about the color of the sunny sky near the horizon?"

"More flowers for what?" Antigone asked and kept walking along side the lioness. This was becoming irritating, the female answered nice enough and was not being rude with her answering and ignoring. Antigone thought that perhaps the female was hard of hearing or did not understand.

Loudly Antigone answered, "I WOULD SAY YOU ARE RIGHT." she smiled and nodded enthusiastically, "WHERE ARE WE GOING DO YOU LIVE NEAR HERE?" She thought perhaps that would help, she made her best attempt as seeming cheerful and interested in the lioness' flowers and her..mission for yellow ones the color of the sky near the horizon.

It was not totally uncommon a practice to start speaking very clearly and very loudly when you wanted to get Madoa Waya to focus, and she recognized the signal immediately. It was hard not to when someone was concerned enough to be so loud! She was happy to have her answer, and after a moment of just staring at Antigone, she leaned down and plucked up a couple of the flowers to tuck in with the others. Then she actually spoke.

"Of course I live here," she said, having realized while staring that Antigone had no feathers or tattoos on her- marking her very obviously as a stranger, "This is the Ela'wadiyi pride's lands, that's why I have the feathers and the red all over me." She said it almost as if it were common knowledge. Surely lions kept track of where they were! But then, Madoa had never ever met a rogue.

Antigone was almost about to give up and walk away from the female, it seemed she was getting absolutely no where and although her mind was made for inquiries she knew when it was time to give in. When she spoke Antigone was shocked.

"Elawadiyi," Antigone played the word in her mouth and said it a few more times, "DO YOU ALL HAVE RED AND FEATHERS?" she was still loud, that was how the female responded to her before, "MY NAME IS ANTIGONE, WHAT IS YOURS?"

Now that Madoa was paying attention, she was more sensitive to just how loud Antigone was being. She flinched when she continued to shout, her ears turning in hopes of dulling the yell.

"You don't have to yell! I'm paying attention," she said in a loud voice herself, another common practice of the strange lioness. She smiled and shook her head, realizing that Antigone had no idea where she was, "Feathers yes, red no- though everybody gets markings like this." Maddie took a moment to look herself over a bit, she hadn't really paid much attention to the process herself. After all, the only reason she had them was because everybody had them- otherwise she would probably never think to do it herself.

"I'm Madoa Waya of the Wolf Clan," she introduced herself.
