The Waterfall (Jan 03) Lexi: *trots out, a little hand-held radio balanced on her back, listening to some rock music*Yakir: *spots Lexi and waves* Hi Lexi! What's that? *points at the radio* Lexi: *looks over at Yakir* Hi Yakir! It's a radio. it plays music.Yakir: Huh. Neat. I wonder how it does it. =D Lexi: I think I heard how once. Something about music being sent through the air in waves, and the radio picks up the waves and plays the music. And there's a lot of different places sending out waves, so you can get lots of different musics. *hits a button a couple of times, switching briefly to country music, jazz, a news station, and classical music* ...And some of it's not just music. Yakir: Wow...cool. =D Lexi: Yup. smile Do you like music?Yakir: I love music. =DLexi: Cool. any particular kind you like? I could see if I could find some on the radio.Yakir: I'll just listen to whatever you like. I really don't know that much music other than what I've learned to play. I think that was classical. ^^Lexi: OK, I'll leave it on this, then. *turns up the volume on the classical station a little bit* So, have you done anything interesting lately? Yakir: Not really, though my mom said she saw my neice. Apparently she's really cute. 3nodding Lexi: Cute is good. smile I haven't done much lately, either. Yakir: That's a shame. *thinks* Hey, how about we do something together? We both haven't been doing much lately, so I think it'd be cool. =D Lexi: Sure! Got anything in mind?Yakir: Maybe a walk someplace interesting? *thinks* Anyplace you ever wanted to go but just haven't been yet?Lexi: A walk would be nice. But I can't think of anyplace I've been wanting to go to. Um...maybe...if you know of a waterfall around, we could see if it's all frozen, since it's so cold out? That's be pretty cool to see. Yakir: Oh, I know where the waterfall is. biggrin I don't know if it's frozen, though that would be pretty cool to see, like you said. 3nodding Lexi: OK. Wanna go check it, then? Yakir: Sure! Follow me. It's this way. ^^ *walks toward the waterfall* Lexi: OK! *starts to follow after Yakir, then pauses briefly to switch to a station playing more upbeat music. then she catches up with him* I think this would be better music for walking. smile Yakir: *listens to it for a moment* I like it. It sounds really neat. =D *continues toward the waterfall* Lexi: *smiles and marches in time with the music, wondering how far the waterfall is* Yakir: We're almost there. =D If it isn't frozen, we'll be able to hear it soon, even with the music on. Lexi: OK! *starts listening carefully* Yakir: *keeping an ear out as they get increasingly closer* Hear anything? *thinks he hears something, but wants a confirmation* Lexi: *hears nothing for a moment, then thinks she hears something* Maybe. I think it's...that way? *points to where she things she hears the sound* Yakir: *nods* Yeah, that's where the waterfall is. 3nodding We'll be able to see it soon. ^^ *continues walking*Lexi: Great! *speeds up a bit, looking forward to seeing the waterfall* Yakir: *speeds up with Lexi, soon enough happening on the waterfall. It wasn't completely frozen over (the parts that had a lot of movement and force weren't), yet the sides where water would splash up were a nice sheet of ice* Lexi: Wow! It looks so cool! *runs up to the side of the waterfall and pokes at the ice* Yakir: Yeah! It does look neat. =D *joins her, being wary of the little bit ice on the ground* I bet that if we had enough cold I bet the whole waterfall could freeze. Then we'd see frozen water droplets around there. 3nodding *points at where the waterfall met the base of the river* Lexi: *pictures that* I bet that'd look really pretty. Think it'll get that cold? Yakir: I don't know. It'd probably have to get really cold. *thinks* I wonder if an ice Pokémir could do it. Lexi: Oh! Good idea. I don't know any ice pokemir, though, or I'd ask them. Lexis: Me neither. We can still imagine it though. 3nodding

Searching for Ice Pokémir (Jan 4th) Yakir: *walks into the clearing*Lexi: *wanders around, apparently looking for something* Yakir: *spots Lexi* Hi! *wanders over* Looking for something? Lexi: *looks over* Hi, Yakir! I was trying to see if I could find an ice pokemir, so we could ask if they'd freeze the waterfall for us.Yakir: Oh yeah! *looks around* Do you see any? Lexi: Nope, not yet. Unless I have, and I just didn't know what they look like, but I don't think so.Yakir: *thinks* My mom said that at her old house there was a human who liked to play Pokémon and had a guide for all the different kinds of them. I know the way there...would you like to go and get the guide to see if it can help? Lexi: Sure! That could really help.Yakir: Okay. This way! *points and heads in that direction* Lexi: *follows Yakir* I wonder how many differrent kinds of pokemir there are.Yakir: *thinks* 493 Pokémon, not sure how many Pokémir. I think there's a potiential for 1,972 Pokémir though, not counting offspring. 3nodding That's coming from what my mom said though.Lexi: *looks surprised* Wow! That's a lot. Well, could be a lot. I don't think there are that many Namrah on all of Namiah, much less pokemir.Yakir: Me neither. I don't think it's close to that amount. xd Lexi: Yeah, if there were that many the island would be so crowded, nobody'd be able to move!Yakir: *pictures it* The angelics and demonics would be fighting for air space, the normals would be so crowded we'd be pushing ourselves into the ocean and other bodies of water as the aquatics protest. xd Lexi: XD And the caves and trees would be crowded with Namrah trying to stay off the ground and find a bit of space for themselves. XDYakir: Sounds like it would make a funny picture! And you could send it to expecting parents as a joke. xd Or is that too serious of a possibility to scare future parents like that?Lexi: *thinks* I don't think there's enough namrah that we'd have to worry about overcrowding like that, so maybe it's not too serious. Still, it'd be better to send that to parents with a sense of humor.Yakir: I personally would laugh if I got sent a picture like that as a soon to be father. xd Lexi: Next time any Namrah have kits, we should send pictures like that to the ones we think would find it funny. smile Yakir: *nods* Just need to find an artist! ^^

The Guide (Jan 5th) Yakir: *walks out into the clearing, holding the Pokémon guide in his paws* Lexi: *trots over to Yakir* You found it! Let's take a look, then. Yakir: Hi Lexi! Sure. ^^ *opens it up, flipping through the pages to get to the Pokedex* Let's find out which pokemon are ice types, and see if we can find their Pokémir counterpart, if one exists. biggrin Lexi: OK. *looks over his shoulder* I wonder if anyone knows who all the pokemir are. That would help.Yakir: Probably a human. 3nodding Lexi: True. Think we should ask any humans if they know all the pokemir?Yakir: Sure! Do you know any of the humans? I only know Sara.Lexi: I just know mew and Riri. One of them might know, they seem to know a lot.Yakir: Do you know where they are?Lexi: I can find mew easily enough. I live with her.Yakir: Okay, let's go find her. =D Lexi: OK! I think she's...*appears behind them* Right behind you. *grins*Lexi: Ack!Yakir: *blinks* That was startling. Oo *grins again* So, what can I do for ya'? Lexi: Do you know which kinds of pokemir there are?Absolutely! I just need to consult this thing! *pulls out a notebook* Are you looking for anyone in particular? Yakir: We're looking for ice types. =DOK! ...You know, listing them would be boring. How about you tell me a pokemon, and I'll tell you if there's a pokemir of it? Lexi: But that'd take a while!OK, ok...you can tell me a few at a time.Lexi: ...You're just doing thig to be evil, aren't you? 3nodding Yakir: Why don't you just list the ones you know to be ice types? Don't most humans know Pokémon types by heart. confused *doesn't know how to deal with evil humans*Most pokemon fans know the pokemon types by heart. Not all humans are pokemon fans. Anyway, come on! It's like a game, it'll be fun!Lexi: Only for you. razz Yakir: Okay... *looks through the book* Do we have a dewgong?Yes we do! Right on the first time! smile Want to guess any others? Yakir: *looks through, simply naming each ice type one by one as he comes to it* Cloyster? *frowns* I don't think so...doesn't seem likely. Jinx?Nope and nope!
...Gah, I need to be going to bed. So, here's all the ice pokemir: Glaceon, Smoochum, Spheal, Articuno, Sneasel, Snover, Abomasnow, Glalie, and Dewgong. Lexi: ...you couldn't have just said that when we asked? The guessing game was more fun. :3 Night! *flees to bed before Lexi can hurl a barrage of fireballs her way*Yakir: ... *commiting them all to memory* I wonder which will be easiest to find. biggrin

The Invitation (Jan 15th) Yakir: *wanders into the clearing* Lexi: *curled up under a blanket by a tree, napping* Yakir: *spots Lexis and wanders over* ...? *debates, then makes a decision* Hello. ^^ Sleepy? Lexi: *ear twitches when spoken to, doesn't quite wake up* Whozzah? Yakir: *waves* Hi Lexi. ^^Lexi: *picks up her head and looking around sleepily until she sees Yakir* Hnn? Hi...*blinks for a couple moments before she starts to wake up more and recognizes him* Oh. Hi Yakir. *yawns* Yakir: You look sleepy. Didn't get a lot of sleep today? Lexi: Not really. I stayed up too late playing video games. it's not often that I'm up until sunrise. Yakir: Ah...I always wondered what it would be like if I weren't nocturnal. Unfortunately the sun is a bit blinding. xd So did you have fun?Lexi: Oh, yeah. I was playing Kingdom Hearts. It's incredibly addicting. Yakir: I don't think I've ever heard of that game. Maybe I could watch you play sometime. 3nodding Lexi: Oh, you should. I think I heard Dad's in Kingdom Hearts 2. I kinda want to see that. ^_^ Yakir: Your dad's in a video game too? Awesome. biggrin And I'd love to go watch you play. 3nodding Lexi: We should set up a time to get together and play vidoe games then. Make a day of it, maybe. ^_^Yakir: Yes we should! =D Any idea when you're going to be playing again? Lexi: *shrug* Anytime's good.

The All-Night Game-athon! (Jan 16th) Yakir: *walks into the clearing*Lexi: *just finished setting up for an all-night gaming session, spots Yakir* Yakir! Great timing, wanna come watch me play Kingdom Hearts? Yakir: Yeah! =D *walks over and sits down* Lexi: Great! *is sitting on a pillow with a bowl of popcorn next to her* Help yourself to some popcorn if you want any. *turns on the system and waits for the game to start* Do you want a little background on the story of the game, or are you fine without? Yakir: *tries a bit of popcorn* Hm, this tastes good. ^^ I never had popcorn before. And sure, I'd like a bit of background history so I'll understand it better. 3nodding Lexi: OK! *game finished loading, and she points at Sora* The brown-haired boy is the main character, he's named Sora. He's basically traveling among several worlds, trying to save them from being destroyed by creatures called Heartless. His own world was already destroyed, but he's also looking for two friends of his from the same world, a boy named Riku and a girl named Kairi. He's got a weapon called a Keyblade that looks like a giant key, and is magic and picked him to wield it. He's traveling with *points to Donald* Donald Duck *points to Goofy* and Goofy, who were sent by the king of Disney Castle, who's named King Mickey, to help him save the worlds. And they're kind of looking for King Mickey, cuz he ran off before the game started and only left them a note so they don't know where he went.
At this point in the story, Sora's saved a few worlds and seen Riku once, so he knows he's OK, but hasn't seen Kairi yet so he doesn't know what heppened to her. Oh, and all the worlds are based on movies made by Disney, but I don't expect you know any of them. Got it? Yakir: *listens carefully, dedicating the names to memory, finally nodding at the end* Got it! ^^ Lexi: OK! If you have any questions, just ask. And right now Sora's inside a giant whale name Monstro, and he's looking for a living marionette puppet named Pinocchio. *starts playing* Yakir: A marionette? *isn't acquainted with puppets with strings* Lexi: It's a kind of wooden puppet that hangs from strings and you move it by pulling on the strings. Except Pinocchio's alive, so he doesn't have any strings and moves on his own. He's still made of wood, though. Yakir: Ah, okay. Wonder if I'll ever see a marrionette someday. 3nodding Lexi: Maybe in pictures or in a movie. People don't seem to use marionettes much unless they're doing an exhibition of classical theater or something. Yakir: Really? I guess old trends sometimes die off. *watches the game* I wonder what would smell like in that whale. I imagine it can't smell very nice. xd Lexi: Yeah, it's probably very fishy-smelling. XD *a cut scene comes up* Huh? It's Riku! ...No, Riku! Don't do it! She's trying to trick you! *realizes she left something out of her summery* Oh, and Riku's working for an evil witch named Malificent, who's controling the Heartless and leading a group of several other villians. But Sora doesn't know that yet.*starts a boss fight to save Pinocchio from a Heartless* Yakir: Ah, okay. I hope that Sora will be able to save his friend somehow. 3nodding *watches the boss fight which Lexi probably makes look easier than it is*Lexi: *keeps falling onto the floor covered with damaging whale stomach acid, but otherwise beats the fight pretty well and saves Pinocchio.* Yay! *watches a cutscene where Riku escapes through a portal of darkness and Sora brings Pinocchio back to Geppetto. then they all leave in a Gummi ship* There, one more world done! Now, which to go to next...Oh, you can travel between worlds when you're on this map. As you play through the game more become available. Maybe I should head back to Traverse Town and visit the shops and stuff... Yakir: They're in a ship of some sort...I wonder how it works. 3nodding Lexi: Well, it has engines. But since it's called a Gummi ship it always reminds me of gummy candies. XD I wouldn't be surprised if magic is involved. *starts flying to Traverse Town, flying around obstacles and shooting enemies as she goes* Yakir: Gummy candies...I should try some of those sometime. *thinks* Wow, living in the woods sure doesn't help one with knowing some aspects of civilization. xd Lexi: Yeah. But you probably know a lot more about nature than I do, so I guess it's a sort of trade-off. *gets to Traverse Town and starts running around to shops* Yakir: Hey, it's a city. 3nodding Lexi: Yup, it's Traverse Town. It's kind of a world by itself. All the people who escaped when their worlds got destroyed tend to end up here. *runs around a bit* Hey, Pinocchio and Geppetto made a house here! Yakir: That was fast. Didn't you save them not ten minutes ago? How'd they beat you here? Oo Lexi: Good question. But games are like that sometimes. Or they'll be saying 'Hurry up! We have to rush to such-and-such a place before so-and-so happens!' And then you can take however long you want to get there, go off and do sidequests if you want, and when you decide to get there you'll always be just in time. Or just a moment to late, depending on what the story wants. Yakir: Interesting...no real time games, huh?Lexi: Oh, there definitely are some. Especially real-time strategy games. But I tend to like RPGs, which is short for Roleplay Games, and the times on those can be wierd. Basically when you do a certain thing, it'll trigger something else to happen which wouldn't happen until you trigger it and happens immediately after. So, as soon as I saved Pinocchio, that was the trigger that makes the game say that he and Geppetto are now it Traverse Town. Or ealier in the game I was looking for a certain character, and I ran all over Traverse Town a few times, but I didn't find him until I went into a particular shop and left it. And then he was in a place I'd been through a several times already. Yakir: I imagine it must be nice not to be rushed through your game. You can sit back and explore as much as you want. 3nodding Lexi: Yup, that's always handy. I like having as much time as I need.

The "Morning" After (Jan 17th) Lexi: *sprawled in front of the tv she'd been playing on last night, asleep with a blanket over her* Yakir: *is there, awake for about an hour now, but letting Lexi sleep while he practices some lullaby-esque songs on his flute*Lexi: *shifts slightly, mutters something indistinct and sleepy, then rolls over, but lands on her controler. A moment later the discomfort (mostly) wakes her up and she squirms as she tries to find and remove the offending object* Yakir: *stops playing upon noticing she's awake* Good evening. ^^ Lexi: *moves the controller away, then blinks sleepily at Yakir* Hnn? Oh, evening. *pauses, blinks a moment* Wait, it's evening already? I guess I slept all day, then. Yakir: Yep. Don't feel too bad, I slept all day too. ^^ Lexi: *yawns* You you said you're nocturnal, so you usually sleep all day, right? I'm typically diurnal. Or I'm supposed to be, I often stay up pretty late. Yakir: True. xd Everyone in my family is nocturnal except for one of my brothers. I think he got that from Mom, since she just chooses to be nocturnal. 3nodding Lexi: I didn't know you could chose to be nocturnal. Then again, I'm practically half-nocturnal, so I suppose it makes sense. *stands up and stretches, the blanket falling down by her feet* Wanna get some breakfast...er, dinner...um, food? Yakir: *nods* All you have to do is adjust your sleeping schedule accordingly. ^^ I can't choose though. The sun bothers my eyes. xp And sure. 3nodding Lexi: OK. *starts walking over, but the blanket tangles up her feet so she trips and falls into him* Ack! O_O Yakir: *falls down, with Lexi on top of him* O_O Are you okay? *kinda startled*Lexi: Yeah, I'm fone. Are you? *shakes head as if to clear it and starts to stand up, then realizes her front paws are standing on Yakir* Ah! Sorry! *quickly scuttles backward off him, looking embarassed* Yakir: It's okay! I'm fine. ^^; *stands up, a little embarrassed himself, not that he can think of any reason why* Lexi: That's good. Um, food. Right. *starts walking off, still lookign embarassed and kind of avoiding looking at Yakir*Yakir: *follows silently, not entirely sure what to say* Lexi: *wanders a bit* Uh...any preference for food? Yakir: Hmm...none really. I want to try something I never had before. 3nodding Lexi: OK. *heads into a kitchen, opens a cabinet and starts browsing* Um...there's cereal, I could make oatmeal or toast, there may be waffles in the freezer. We should have fruit and juice, but you've probably already had those...Oh wait, I'm still thinking breakfast foods, since I just got up. If you want anything else, feel free to look around. Yakir: Hmmm...*looks around, not wanting to cause any bother by selecting something hard to make* I think I'll have whatever you're having. 3nodding *never had most of the foods he sees, so has no basis for what it would taste like*Lexi: OK. I'm having toast for now. *grabs a loaf of bread, heads over to the toaster and gets a couple slices toasting* Want anything to drink? Yakir: Maybe some juice? Lexi: OK. *looks in the fridge* Do you want apple, orange or cranberry juice? Yakir: Apple juice please. 3nodding Lexi: 'K. *gets glasses and pours a glass of apple juice for Yakir and one of cranberry for herself, then when the toast pops up she puts them on plates, and sets the lot on a table with butter and jam available.* All set. Simple, but a meal. Dig in! *spreads jam on her toast and starts eating, almost managing to forget the earlier awkwardness* Yakir: *carefully puts some jam on his slice of toast and tries a bit of it* This is good. ^^ Lexi: *nods, still munching*

The Beach (Jan 21st) Yakir: *wanders into the clearing*Lexi: *is doing stretching excercises when she notices Yakir* Hey Yakir! Yakir: Hi Lexi! =D How are you this evening?Lexi: I'm good! I was about to do a bit of running, since I haven't in a while. Yakir: Ooh. Are you a fast runner? 3nodding Lexi: Kinda. I want to be. But my nephew's a lot faster than me, so i kinda got discouraged from practicing for a while.Yakir: Oh. Well, if it's any consolation I'm not a fast runner either. xd I'm sure you'll get better at running if you practice though. 3nodding Lexi: Yup! ^_^ Which is why I should start practicing again. Wanna jog with me?Yakir: Sure! No guarantees I'll be able to keep up though. 3nodding Lexi: Great! And don't worry, I won't be going too fast yet. *starts off at an easy pace*Yakir: *keeps up with the easy pace, figuring it could be sort of his warm up*Lexi: Think we should go anywhere in particular?Yakir: Well, I hear the beach is good for endurance training. Otherwise we could just jog around in the woods. 3nodding Lexi: Beach sounds good. I don't go there too often. *starts heading that way* Yakir: And with the colder temperatures it's less likely to burn your feet, I would think. 3nodding Lexi: Burn your--? ...Oh, The sand. Yeah, let's hope so. *picks up the pace slightly now that they'd had a chance to warm up.*Yakir: *also picks up the pace*Lexi: *Enjoying the jogging* I should never have stopped this. It's fun. ^_^ Yakir: It is pretty fun. 3nodding Lexi: *spots the beach up ahead* Here's the beach! *speeds up a little to reach it faster, then pauses to get a good look at the ocean* Yakir: *tries to keep up with the quickened pace, having to catch up when she pauses* The ocean is really nice. ^^ I like the salty smell too. 3nodding Lexi: *sniffs the salt air* Yeah, you don't get that anywhere else. *starts jogging on the sand* I wonder why the ocean doesn't freeze like streams and ponds do in the winter.Yakir: *starts jogging again as well* It's because of the ocean's salinity. The salt makes it harder to freeze. 3nodding Lexi: I wonder why salt keeps it from freezing. *thinks* Then again, mew throws salt on the sidewalk when she doens't want it to ice up. Yakir: Probably for the same reason. It somehow lowers the freezing point of water. 3nodding Lexi: Wierd. *steps on a broken shell* Ow! *stops and checks her paw* Yakir: *stops also* Are you okay? D= *looks over her paw* Lexi: Yeah, I'm OK. Just stepped on a shell. Guess I better watch my step. *looks at the shell* And it's not even a pretty one. Yakir: I suppose that's the downside to running at the beach. sad At least it didn't cut your paw though. ^^ *picks up the shell and nods* Yeah, I've seen prettier shells. Lexi: ...Think we should go back to the forest? Yakir: Do you want to? I don't mind either way, so long as neither of us get hurt. 3nodding Lexi: May as well head back. The beach is nice, but so is the forest. *starts trotting towards the forest*Yakir: Okay. ^^ *follows*

The Movie (Jan 22th) Lexi: *pawing through a pile of Disney DVDs* Yakir: *standing nearby, curious to see what movie she picks*Lexi: *humms snatches of various Disney songs to herself as she looks* Hmm...I can't decide. I'm thinking either Tarzan, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, or Beauty and the Beast. *notices something* Huh, all of those are based on books. So, do you have any prefference? Yakir: Aladdin maybe? It looks interesting. 3nodding Lexi: OK! *pops in the movie, then settles back with a bowl of popcorn* Yakir: *sits down next to Lexi* Lexi: *watches and munches on popcorn* Yakir: *tilts his head* Wow, that's a lot of fuss for only a loaf of bread. Is that really how it is? OoLexi: Dunno. Maybe in areas that have a lot of poverty. But more likely they're exagerating for the movie. Yakir: *thinks, then nods* Yeah, most likely. ^^ It'll scare people off of stealing though, which is good. xd Lexi: Yeah. And since a lot of kids watch this movie, deterring stealing is deffinietly a good thing. *watches Aladdin give the bread to the homeless kids* Aw, and generosity! Yakir: That's really nice of him. Especially after all the trouble he went through to get it. =D *would have done the same thing if given the choice*Lexi: *watches Aladdin save the kids from being whipped by a visiting suitor* He's a really nice guy. smile *watches more, laughing when Raja tears a piece off the suitor's pants.* That's what he gets for being mean and nasty! Yakir: Isn't that what you call karma? 3nodding Lexi: I suppose it is. I hope Aladdin gets some good karma for being so nice earlier. Yakir: Me too. ^^Lexi: ...Aww, poor Jasmine. You'd think being a princess would be great, until you hear she's stuck in the palace and being forced to marry...Though having a pet tiger must be cool. Yakir: *nods* I wouldn't want to be in her position either. If I marry I'd want it to be for love. 3nodding Being cooped up would drive me crazy too. I like being able to go where I wish. xp Lexi: *nodnod* Though I understand that a kingdom needs a king and queen, so it makes sense that she'd have to marry eventually, and to someone who'd be a good king. Or Sultan. But from the look of it, that suitor wouldn't make a good ruler anyway.Yakir: *shakes his head* He seems to think too highly of himself. Confidence is good, but not to the point where you think others aren't as important as yourself. Lexi: *gets to the point where Aladdin saves Jasmine from the apple seller* There he goes being helpful again! And he's funny, too! *giggles at Apu mimicing the sultan* Yakir: *nods* Yep! Apu's pretty funny too. xd *laughing at the same thing Lexi's giggling at*Lexi: *watches to the point where they're in Aladdin's house* Aw, they're getting along so well. :3 Yakir: *nods* Yeah. I wonder if she'll fall for him. He's the nicest guy she's met so far in this movie, and he seems to like her. ^^ *clearly hasn't watched too many disney movies, otherwise the answer would be an of course xd * Lexi: *giggles but doesn't comment, letting him see how the movie goes for himself. Watches until Jasmine's told Aladdin was executed* Aww, she's crying for him. She really cares. Don't worry Jasmine, he's fine! Just arrested... Yakir: I wonder how Aladdin's going to get out of this one. *thinks* Lexi: *watches to the point where Aladdin's in the Cave of Wonders* Wow, a flying carpet! That looks fun, I'd like one of those. Yakir: Me too. Maybe one day there'll be a namir who knows how to do that kind of enchantment. 3nodding *frowns* Uh oh. Apu's gonna get them in trouble... Lexi: Don't do it Apu! The tiger said---*he grabs the gem* No! *frantic chase scene through the collapsing cave* ...That looks really cool. Dangerous, but cool. Yakir: It seems like the carpet knows where to go. Good thing Aladdin woke it up, otherwise Apu would have cost them their lives. D= I wonder if Apu will learn a lesson from this. Lexi: Somehow I don't think so. He seems to be to fond of stealing. *watches more* But now Aladdin get a genie! Maybe his good karma is kicking in. Yakir: The Genie's really funny. xd Lexi: XD Yeah he is. *watches to the parade as Prince Ali Ababua* Wow, that's some parade. If it wasn't done by magic, I'd wonder how they ever managed to get that together. Yakir: That whole thing would probably take a few weeks at least to put together. And probably a rehearsal of some sort. Lucky for Aladdin, with magic it just takes a minute. xd Lexi: Very lucky. *watches more* Aw, he didn't make a very good 'first impression' as a prince. Yakir: I think he tried too hard to be someone he's not. I don't know why he thought she'd like that attitude. confused I hope he can find a way to make up for the bad first impression. Lexi: Yeah. *watches to magic carpet ride and song* That's a good way to make a good impression. :3 *sings along, swaying back and forth* Yakir: *nods and listens to Lexi sing as he watches the scene* You're a very good singer. 3nodding *would have sung along except he isn't confident with the lyrics yet* Lexi: Thanks! ^_^ *sighs* So romantic. Flying like that must be so fun...*leans over, accidently leaning against Yakir* Yakir: *blinks when she leans on him, but does't really do anything about it* Yeah. ^^; *feels his face heat up a little, and thanks genetics for his dark fur color* Lexi: *belatedly realizes what she'd done and sits bolt upright* Sorry. *keeps eyes on the screen to avoid looking at him, but after a couple seconds she glances at him out of the corner of her eye*Yakir: It's fine. ^^; *looks at the screen, glancing at her in a similar fashion to see her doing the same thing* *doesn't know what to do in that awkard situation so he quickly looks back at the televion, rather embarrassed and blushing (not that anyone would be able to tell)* Lexi: *watches in silence for a while, munching popcorn, then offers him the bowl* Want any?Yakir: Sure. ^^ *takes a little bit of popcorn*Lexi: ...*keeps glancing sidelong at Yakir, isn't paying as much attention to the movie now, and doesn't mind since she's seen it already* Yakir: *watching the movie, though occasionally can't help but glance over a bit since he's feeling watched, each time looking back at the TV feeling slightly embarrassed*

Constellations- Nocturnal Friendship (Jan 23rd) Lexi: *looking up at the sky* Yakir: *wanders out, looks around, and spots Lexi* Hi Lexi! ^^ *looks up at the sky* Tonight's a nice night. The stars are really pretty. 3nodding Lexi: *looks at Yakir* Hi Yakir! *looks bak at the sky* Yeah, they are. The tree are kinda getting in the way, I can't see some of them too clearly. Yakir: I know a field not too far from here where you can get a nice view of the stars if you'd like to get a clear view of them. 3nodding Lexi: That sounds great! I'd love to go there. smile Yakir: Okay. ^^ It's this way. *starts to lead the way* Lexi: *follows Yakir, humming to herself* Yakir: *walks for a while, entering the forest and weaving through some trees toward the field, making sure Lexi was close by*Lexi: *keeps following, spots a clearing up ahead* Is that it over there? Yakir: Yep! 3nodding *walks out into the clearing, the view directly forward of them void of trees* I like to go here when I want to watch the stars, though sometimes I just climb to the top of a tall tree. ^^Lexi: Oh wow! This is a much better view! Thanks! *sits in the clearing and gazes at the stars* Yakir: No problem. ^^ *sits down next to her and looks up at the stars like he has done on many nights before* Lexi: *looks through the stars and finds the only constellation she knows* There's Orion's Belt...so there's Orion. :3 Yakir: Orion? Oh, that's a constellation, isn't it? biggrin I don't know any of the constellations. Lexi: That's the only one I know. And the stars are pretty even if you don't know any constellations. Yakir: I agree. *nods, then looks around* Mom showed me one of them... *points* There. I think she called it a Dipper. Lexi: *follows where he's pointing* I've heard of that one. Aren't there two Dippers? Yakir: I think so. The Little Dipper and The Big Dipper, I think. Lexi: *nods* Which Dipper is the one you pointed out? Yakir: *looks at it for a moment* ...I think it's the Big Dipper. Just from the way it's angled. *looks up, where his mom showed him the Little Dipper would be relative to the Big Dipper* ...and that's the Little Dipper over there. *points*Lexi: *follows where he's pointing, but isn't sure which group of stars he's pointing to. decides it doesn't matter* Neat. Yakir: *nods* Those are the only ones I know though. And like you said, the stars are pretty no matter what constellation they're a part of. ^^ Lexi: Yup. There's probably plenty of starts that aren't in constellations anyway. And I think different cultures have their own constellations, too. We could probably make up our own, even. Yakir: Really? *looks around, and traces out some stars* That one looks almost like a lion. 3nodding Lexi: *leans over to look where he's tracing* Yeah, I see it! And, umm...*stares a bit, then traces some stars* Those ones look like a fish. Yakir: *looks over* You're right, it does. 3nodding *looks around* Hmmm...could that be a tree? *traces some stars* Lexi: *nods* Looks like it. And...*traces another group low in the sky* those ones look like a heart. Yakir: *smiles* It does look like a heart. What a nice constellation. 3nodding Lexi: Wanna name our constellations? Yakir: Sure. ^^ So how should we name them? *wondering whether they should be given names from various things or if they should just use normal names* Lexi: I dunno...I'm not sure how constellations are usually named. The lion we could probably name after a lion we know...Do you know Lanzo? Yakir: *nods* Yep. 3nodding So the lion could be Lanzo. ^^ And the fish...do you know any fish? Lexi: There's probably some fish-like Namrah, but I haven't met any. Have you? Yakir: *shakes his head* The closest thing to a fish-like namir I met was Nalini, and she's a Poliwag so she's more like a tadpole. Lexi: Well, I suppose we don't have to name it after a Namir. It could be...um...after a kind of fish. Like trout. I had trout once. It was a tasty fish. Yakir: A trout...I don't think I ever had a trout before. 3nodding So we'll call it a trout. *looks at the tree* Oak, Maple...doesn't look like a Pine. *looks at Lexi* What do you think? An Oak tree perhaps?Lexi: You know trees better than me, so you'd have a better idea what it looks like. So whichever sounds best to you. smile Yakir: Hmm... *thinks, then nod* Yeah, it looks like an Oak. 3nodding Lexi: OK. smile So, now for the heart. *thinks* Well, hearts represent love, obviously, but they could extend to family, unity, well-wishes... Yakir: There's also a lot of different kinds of love. There's romantic, platonic, familial, and probably a few others I'm missing. 3nodding So which meaning do we want to use in naming it? *referring not to his list of meanings of love but Lexi's list of what a heart can represent* Lexi: Well...we could name it after one or more Namrah who have a lot of love, or are together, either as freinds or as a couple. Yakir: Sounds like a good idea. 3nodding Do you have anyone in mind? *doesn't know a lot of namrah* Lexi: Umm...*mind suddenly blanks and she can only think of the two of them, but doesn't want to say that for some reason. Twiddles her toes as she tries to think of anyone else* Yakir: *thinking, but can't really think of anyone* Hmmm...think it would be weird to name after ourselves? *doesn't think so, but wants to hear Lexi's opinion* Lexi: Uh, sure. Actually, that was the only thing I could think of for some reason. *chuckles* What should we name it exactly, then? Yakir: *thinks* Hmmmm... *can't think of a clever way to integrate their names into a singular name for the star* Lexi: Well, maybe it doesn't have to be one word. Like the Dippers are The Big Dipper and The Little Dipper, right? And Orion's called Orion the Hunter. Yakir: Well that makes things a bit easier. Now we just have to think of a nice title. biggrin *thinks, trying to find a title that fits best and isn't overly long* Lexi: *Just starts muttering sort of stream-of-conciousness* ...something of the Dear Friends...Heart of Gold...something with Unity...night, evening...nocturnal? Nocturn... Yakir: *listens to what Lexi is muttering, thinking that Nocturne sounds really pretty* ... *wonders if they could integrate that into a name, thinking of Nocturne of the Dear Friends and Nocturne of the Golden Heart* Nocturne of the Golden Heart? Nocturne of the Dear Friends? *tilts his head, wondering what Lexi thinks of those titles, and wondering if they'd need to integrate their actual names into it* Lexi: *nods* Those could work...or even Nocturnal Friendship, since we tend to meet at night since you're nocturnal. Yakir: Nocturnal Friendship...I like that one. 3nodding Lexi: OK! Nocturnal Friendship it is, then. ^_^

Making Snow Sculptures (Jan 24th) Yakir: *wanders into the clearing* Lexi: *piling up snow to make a snow sculpture of some sort* Yakir: *spots Lexi and wanders over, looking at the snow pile* Hello! Making something? ^^ Lexi: Hi Yakir! Yeah, I'm making a snow-something. Not sure what yet, I was gonna figure that out as I go. Yakir: Cool! Sounds fun. =D *thinks for a bit, then piles up some snow himself to make something*Lexi: *piles more and starts shaping, making it start to look vaguely like an animal* Yakir: *thinks for a bit when he finishes piling up the snow, wondering what to make* Lexi: *starts to make her snow-creature a standing quadruped, but it collapses so she starts over on a laying down quadraped* Yakir: *decides to make something, and starts shaping it*Lexi: *has a pretty general quadrapedal shape down, but pauses* ...I still kind of don't know what to do. I may make up an animal. *starts shaping the head* Yakir: Making up an animal sounds cool. ^^ *shaping out the bottom of what looks like some kind of bird sitting down*Lexi: *has a blunt muzzle and some tall, pointed ears shaped, looks over at what Yakir's making before moving to work on a tail*Yakir: *shapes a head and beak, and proceeds to make the outlines of wings*Lexi: *looks up from making three long tails curling along the snowcreature's sides to see Yakir's bird* Wow, that looks cool. *ponders adding wings to her creature*Yakir: Thanks! It's a dove. ^^ Yours looks nice too. 3nodding Lexi: Thanks! *looks back at hers* Whatever mine is. *decides against wings for now and shapes the legs and paws more*Yakir: *watches Lexi as she continues to make her animal, curious to see what it'll become* Lexi: *adds a couple details to the face and stands back to look at her snowcreature. It sort of has a catlike face, extra-long foxlike ears, a short neck, a stout body, doglike legs and paws, and three long tails* ...I dunno what you'd call it, but it's not bad. smile *adds a short horn in the center of the forehead, just because* Yakir: Like I said, it looks really good. ^^

Listening to some Music (Jan 27th) Lexi: *staring off into space, finding herself wondering what Yakir's doing* Yakir: *sitting in a tree a short distance away from the clearing, practicing some music on his flute, thinking about heading to the clearing in a bit to see if Lexi or someone else he knows is there*Lexi: *hears flute music coming from a little way off. follows it, curious, and sees Yakir. stops and watches him play.* Yakir: *continues to play for a little while, then finishes up the song and looks down to notice Lexi watching him* Oh! Hello Lexi! ^^ *waves* Lexi: *smiles and waves back* Hi Yakir! That was pretty. What song was it? Yakir: I'm not sure what it's called, but I heard my mom hum it occasionally when she was bored. ^^ She probably heard it while she was living with Sara. 3nodding Lexi: Cool. You planning on playing some more? Yakir: Would you like me to? 3nodding *would be more than happy to play more if he can have an audience* Lexi: Sure! I'd love to hear you play more! *spots a nearby log that's free of snow, drags it closer to Yakir and sits on it* Yakir: Just keep in mind that I don't know the names to most of these songs. They're just songs I've heard before. ^^ *thinks for a moment before starting to play something beautiful yet with sad undertones*Lexi: OK! *listens to the music, swaying slightly to the beat* Yakir: *plays until the song ends, and pauses, thinking of what else to play* Hmmm... *plays a happy tune that sounds appropriate in a countryside setting* Lexi: *enjoying the music, closes her eyes to focus on it better*Yakir: *continues to play the tune, in the back of his mind deciding what to play next but focusing most of his attention on the song so he won't mess up* Lexi: *still listening and swaying happily, kind of wishing she knew how to play an instrument so she could play along* Yakir: *reaches the end of the song, and uses a couple seconds to figure out something else to play, finally deciding on something with an vaguely ominous feel, like it would be played in a movie before something dramatic happens*Lexi: *the music's kind of creating the feeling that something's about to jump out at her or something. Would like to say so, but doesn't want to interrupt the music.* Yakir: *finishes up the song and plays something soothing, figuring that that song needed a soothing follow-up*Lexi: *sighs happily, letting the soothing music wash over her*Yakir: *plays the soothing music until the end, and thinks for a bit before playing something with a vaguely romantic tone to it (not that he recognizes the tone as romantic, only that it's a positive sounding song)*Lexi: *doesn't recognize the tone as romantic either, but finds herself gazing at Yakir somewhat misty-eyed* Yakir: *finishes up the song, and plays something festive sounding, like a carnival without it being carnival music* Lexi: *bounces up and down to the tune, then starts clapping along* Yakir: *finds himself swaying to the beat also, enjoying the energy it has* ^^ Lexi: *jumps to her feet and finally speaks up* Can you play something that's good to dance to next? I'm in the mood to move around. Yakir: Sure! ^^ *starts playing some energetic dance music* Lexi: *starts dancing, not necessarily very well, but energetically and to the beat of the music*Yakir: *swaying to the beat, though he would dance along if he wasn't playing* Lexi: *still dancing, but slips on an icy patch of ground and falls on her tail* Wha-! Oof! *sits there blinking for a moment before bursting out with unreasonable laughter*Yakir: *stops playing for a bit to make sure Lexi's okay, laughing a little along with her when she starts laughing* You okay? ^^Lexi: *laughter fades to chuckles* Yup, I'm fine. *stops laughing with a sigh and picks herself up, making sure she really is fine* Yakir: That's good. Still in a dancing mood? *has about 3 dancing songs of various energy levels* Lexi: I'd better not, in case I fall again and actually hurt myself. I'm sure there's more than one slippery patch among the snow. Yakir: *understands perfectly* Okay. ^^ Have any song requests? *wondering what she's in the mood to listen to now*Lexi: Hmm...*thinks as she sits back on the log* I'm kinda in the mood to sing. I dont suppose you'd know any songs I might know the words to? Yakir: *thinks for a moment, then nods* Uh-huh. ^^ *takes a moment to gather his thoughts and memories of the song, and plays "A Whole New World" to the best his abilities, using both his memories and experience with the flute to try to recreate the notes*Lexi: Oh, nice! *takes a deep breath and sings along*
I can show you the world...Shining, shimmering, splendid. Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide... Yakir: *happily listening to Lexi sing while playing the music* Lexi: *keeps singing along, singing Jasmine's parts during portions where Aladdin and Jasmine were singing at once* ...A whole new world...That's where we'll be...A thrilling chase, a wonderous place. For you and me. *grins at Yakir as she finishes* That was fun! Yakir: *nods* Yeah, it was. It was really fun to have you sing along to the music I was playing. =D Lexi: Yeah. Maybe sometime I could play some other music that I can sing along to. Like a Disney Greatest Hits CD, even. smile Yakir: I think that would be great. ^^ *would enjoy being able to listen to Lexi sing more*

A Little more Music and Singing (Jan 28th) Yakir: *wanders into the clearing* Lexi: *trots into the clearing carrying a small portable CD player and spots Yakir* Hey Yakir! Yakir: Hi Lexi! =D *waves and walks over* What's that? Is it like a radio? *looking at the CD player curiously* Lexi: Nope, but it's kind of similar. It's a CD player, you can make it play music by using a CD in it, like this one. *holds up a CD* Yakir: *looks over the CD* Interesting. I've never seen one of them before. 3nodding I wonder what the player does exactly to make the CD play. =DLexi: *shrugs* Something to do with a tiny lazer, I think. *puts the CD in* Wanna listen? It's Disney's Greatest, Volume 1. smile Yakir: Sure! I'd like that. =DLexi: OK! *hits the Play button and the muisc starts playing* First up is Strangers Like Me from Tarzan. *sings along* "Whatever you do, I'll do it too. Show me everything and tell me how..." Yakir: *smiling, listening to the music and the sound of Lexi singing* ^^ Lexi: *song finishes up, music for the next one starts* Next is Reflection from Mulan. I don't know all the songs on this, but I'll sing the ones I do. If you don't mind, anyway. *starts singing along to this one as well* Yakir: I don't mind at all. I like listening to you sing. ^^Lexi: *nods, acknowledging Yakir's comment, but keeps singing. the music for the next song starts, and she furrows her brow, trying to remember what it is* This is...Oh! It's 'I Won't Say (I'm In Love)' from Hercules *starts singing, but pauses* I don't know all of this one. *sings bits and pieces anyway* Yakir: Okay. ^^ *listening to the song, enjoying the parts where Lexi was singing the most* Lexi: "...At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love." *finds something slightly odd about singing that, but ignores it as the next song comes on* I don't know this one. *checks the CD case* "Out There" from Hunchback of Notre Dame. I never saw that movie. Yakir: What's that movie about? *thinks the music sounds cool* Lexi: Um...it takes place in Notre Dame, and there's this ugly, hunchbacked man who lives in a belltower and it's his job to ring the bell. And I think...he never goes out, because he's not allowed, but he wants to. To be with other people, probably. I'm not entirely sure. It probably ends happily, 'cuz Disney films always do.Yakir: He's not allowed outside because of his appearance? That's not very nice. sad Lexi: No it isn't. Whoever it is that keeps him inside must not be a nice person. *next song starts up* Oh, 'You've Got a Friend in Me' from Toy Story! *sings along happily* Yakir: *listens to the song, thinking that it was a really nice song with a nice message to it* Lexi: *song ends, speaks while the next one starts up* We could see some of the movies these are from sometime. Next up is...Just Around the Riverbend from Pocohontas. *doesn't feel like singing at the moment, listens to the song* Yakir: That'd be cool. Watching movies with you is fun. ^^Lexi: Thanks, I like watching movies with you, too. ^_^ *next song starts* Ah, this is a pretty one. 'The Circle of Life' from The Lion King. *sings along* Yakir: It is pretty. ^^ *listens as Lexi sings* Lexi: *next song starts* Oh, you know this one! It's 'A Whole New World'! *sings is yet again* Yakir: *thinks, then starts to sing along as well, having heard the song a couple times before*Lexi: *is happy that Yakir is singing too, and sings very enthusiastically. is kind of sad when the song ends* Ok next up is...Beauty and the Beast, from the movie of the same name. Yakir: *also a bit sad when the song ends, though likes the next song too* This one is pretty as well. ^^ Lexi: Yeah, Disney movies have some really nice songs.Yakir: *nods in agreement* From what I can tell they do. So far I like all of these songs. ^^ *have a couple favorites from it though* Lexi: *nods as nest song starts* This one's, uh...'Kiss the Girl' from The Little Mermaid. *decides not to sing, but hums along*Yakir: *hums along too, finding the verbal command making him feel slightly uneasy because he is subconsciously interpreting the song as if it were talking to him*Lexi: *also growing slightly uncomfortable, keeps looking over at Yakir as the song plays* Yakir: *glancing over at Lexi occasionally as well, still feeling a little uneasy*Lexi: *still humming, shifts very slightly closer to Yakir*Yakir: *inches just a little bit closer to Lexi as well, only half aware that he's doing so, and still humming along*Lexi: *glances at Yakir again and notices he's moved closer. face grows warm, but she inches a tiny bit closer again*Yakir: *moves a teeny bit closer, blushing slightly as he becomes more and more aware of actually doing so*Lexi: *looks at him again, not quite full-on, but longer this time, and kind of hoping he'll look back* Yakir: *glances at her, notices that she's looking at him, and blushes a bit more, though doesn't actually look away this time*Lexi: *glances down but not quite away and inches still closer. tail twitches so that it's brushing his* Yakir: *hesitates a second, feeling a bit embarrassed, before inches closer again, probably blushing so much by this point he couldn't blush more if he tried*Lexi: *kinda has the urge to just kiss him, but since the song indicates the opposite she just looks into his eyes, somewhat bashfully* Yakir: *gazes into her eyes for a moment, feelings of nervousness slowly giving way to the urge to kiss her, and starts to lean his face towards hers*Lexi: *after a slight hesitation, also starts to lean forward as song (finally) starts to end* Yakir: *continues to lean forward and then gives her a kiss, the song ending timing rather well with it*Lexi: *accepts the kiss, then when it's done leans lightly against him. listens to the music doesn't bother saying anything about the rest of the songs*Yakir: *smiling happily, enjoying the moment and the music, feeling that words aren't necessary right now*

Amorous Nocturne (Jan 30th) Yakir: *wanders into the clearing, looking around*Lexi: *sitting off to the side, has made a few little fireballs and is idly watching them float around like fireflies* Yakir: *smiles when he spots Lexi and wanders over, sitting next to her* Hello. ^^ *watches the pretty firefly flames* Lexi: Oh! Hi Yakir. *watches the flames for a moment, then leans her head lightly against Yakir's shoulder* Yakir: *smiles, and lightly wraps his tail sorta around her, kinda like the human version of placing their arm around someone's shoulder* So how are you? ^^ Lexi: *smiles, assuming that means he's not going to try to explain away the kiss somehow, and is glad about it* I'm doing good. How about you? Yakir: I'm good as well. ^^ *wonders what they could do, starting to think of stuff that she might like, including making plans to make the frozen waterfall idea a reality if he can* Lexi: *is perfectly finw with just sitting with Yakir for now. Glances up at the sky and finds the constelations they made* ...I think we should rename Nocturnal Friendship. Yakir: *looks up at the current Nocturnal Friendship* Yeah, I think so too. ^^ Lexi: Hmm...what do you think we should call it? Yakir: Hmmm...we could replace Friendship with Love, or we could add it on there like Friendship and Love, or we could replace both words. What do you think? *kinda hoping she doesn't think love is too strong of a word so soon, even if that may be the case* Lexi: *blushes very faintly, but doesn't deny it* I still like Nocturnal, or Nocturne, and Love's a great word, but I kind of think it's been overused. We could use a word that means the same thing, like...um...Amorous. Yakir: True. ^^ *nods* Amorous...hmmm.... *thinks of various combinations* Amorous Nocturne? *can't seem to think of a way to put two adjectives together and make it sound right* Lexi: Oh, I like that. 'Loving night.' smile Yakir: Yeah, it does sound really nice. =D Lexi: OK, Amourous Nocturne it is. smile Yakir: *smiles and looks up at the newly renamed constellation* I bet if constellations had thoughts and feelings it would like the new name as much as we like it. ^^Lexi: *nods, trying to think of something romantic to do, but only able to come up with Disney-related stuff* Yakir: *thinks of something that could be considered romantic* Ever been ice skating?Lexi: Nope, never have. Sounds fun, though. Yakir: Would you like to go ice skating with me? ^^Lexi: Sure! Do you know a good place for it? Yakir: *nods* Yep! The lake. ^^ It's not too far away, though it's a decent sized walk there. Lexi: I don't mind a walk. It's a nice night for it. Yakir: I agree, it's a very nice night. ^^ *rises to his feet* It's this way. *starts to walk, pausing so Lexi can walk beside him* Lexi: *gets up and walks beside Yakir, with the mini fireballs dancing around the pair of them*Yakir: *smiles* That fire ability of yours is really amazing.Lexi: Thanks. It's certainly pretty, but not very useful. My dad and some of my siblings have much more impressive fire powers. Yakir: That's alright. I think outside of making hammocks my ability is kinda useless too. xd *thinks* Well, I suppose I could trap someone with it...but I never needed to trap anything before. Lexi: Yeah...*chuckles* With our useless powers combined, we are...The Super-Useless Super Team! *pauses briefly to strike a heroic pose* Yakir: *laughs and also strikes a heroic pose* With the power to trap enemies and distract them with pretty-looking fire!Lexi: Yes! No kitten or easily distracted person can escape our might! Yakir: So beware, evil kittens! We will get you!Lexi: *makes the fireballs whirl in little halos around their heads, then burts out laughing*Yakir: *laughs a bit more, thinking that was a fun bit of dialogue during their walk*Lexi: *slowly stops giggling* So, to ice skate do we need skates or something? Or will we just slide across the ice on bare paws or something? Yakir: I was thinking bare paws. I've never skated on ice skates before. Lexi: OK. I hope I don't fall over too much. Yakir: Don't worry, I'll help you out. ^^Lexi: Thanks. ^_^ *wonders how far away the pond is* Yakir: I think we're almost there. 3nodding Lexi: Great! *sends her fireballs ahead to let them light up the area to see if she can spot the pond* Yakir: *looks ahead of them, recognizing their surroundings* Yep, we're almost there. Just a little bit farther. *can just barely see it through the trees*Lexi: *after a little more walking, sees the firelight reflect off the ice* Oh, is that it? *dashes forward to see, then stops by the bank of the pond*Yakir: Yep! It sure is. ^^ *runs to catch up with her, stopping beside her along the bank*Lexi: *walks forward and takes a step onto the ice, then pauses* Do we need to check if the ice is thick enough to skate on safely? And how would we check, because walking on it and seeing if it breaks? Yakir: Hmmm...I guess we could use knowledge to help. I saw some namrah not too long ago ice skating with no problem, and the temperature seems to be about the same. 3nodding Lexi: I guess. I'm gonna be careful for a bit, anyway. *steps all the way on the ice, doesn't hear it creak and takes that as a goods sign* So, how do we skate? Yakir: That's fine. ^^ *follows Lexi out on the ice* Well basically you move your paws like this... *demonstrates, skating forward a couple feet* It takes some practice, but you'll get it soon enough. Lexi: OK. *tries it out, sliding her feet srt of the way her is, but slips and falls* Ow. *carefully climbs back to her feet and tries again, still wobbly* Yakir: *skates over by her* If you think you need a bit of support I'll be here to help you out. ^^Lexi: Thanks, but I want to see if I can get this. *tries again, starts to slip and stops. tries to think where else she might have seen skating, remembers how Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 sort of 'runs' by making a skating motion with his rocket-shoes, and tries mimicking that instead. Is a bit more successful this time* Yakir: There you go. You're getting it. ^^Lexi: *smiles, enjoying the mental image of herself running around in rocket-shoes* This is kinda fun! *still not going to fast and mostly going in straight lines*Yakir: *smiling, happy she's having a lot of fun* Yeah, it is! =D *skating somewhat nearby, happier to see her learning how than to skate on his own*

More Video Game Fun (Feb 4th, 12th) Lexi: *playing Kingdom Hearts again*Yakir: *pops up* Hello Lexi! ^^Lexi: Hi Yakir! I'm playing Kingdom Hearts some more, I'm hoping to finish the game tonight. Want to watch?Yakir: *nods* Yeah! biggrin *sits down next to her to watch* Lexi: I'm on the last world now, which is actually called End of the World. smile *Sora looks like he's running on water that's solid somehow, with nothing around but a few rocks sticking up out of the water* Yakir: Fitting name. 3nodding I wonder how he's doing that. *referring to the walking on water bit* Lexi: The world is wierd, that's how. It's made of leftover bits of other worlds that got destroyed. *is running from rock to rock, fighting battles when Sora gets to each one*Yakir: Ah...I was wondering what happened to the destroyed worlds. Lexi: Yeah. Kind of wierd how the bits of destroyed worlds look like chunks of rock and otehr wierd landscapes instead of little pieces of the words they're supposed to be from. Like how the Beast said his world, was destroyed, but there's nothign that looks like his castle. Yakir: Maybe it got totally destroyed, so destroyed that even the fragments don't look like the worlds they used to be. Lexi: Maybe. *gets to an area of the world that's like the inside of a canyon, with ledges sticking out of the walls, glowy thread-like lines runnign from wall to wall, and big crystals sticking out of everything* Woah, this is a different kind of wierd. *starts jumping and gliding from ledge to ledge* Yakir: Do you think the glowing areas can hurt you? *isn't sure what they're composed of, whether it's light or something else*Lexi: Dunno. They look like they're just decoration. *avoids them anyway, runs around getting treasure while gradually traveling downward*Yakir: I guess they're just light then. 3nodding Lexi: It's pretty dark in this part, so maybe they're the light source. *gets the the bottom and finds a big hole with swirling light coming out of it* That looks...interesting. *jumps in and ends up on a little platform floating in space with a pillar of light. walks into the light ends is suddenly in a different area* Whoah, this is part of Traverse Town...and all but one exit is blocked off. *fight starts* Maybe this is a fragment of Traverse Town? But it wasn't destroyed...Yakir: Perhaps it's going to be destroyed soon if you don't stop it, and you're seeing the destruction creeping up on it, unseen to everyone in it? *only thing he can thing of to explain it* Lexi: Maybe. That'd be a good in-game explanation...*gets treasure and leaves that section, goes back to the platform, transported to a new platform with another pillar of light, enters that to end up in a section of another world where a new fight starts* ...Or maybe out of game, the developers just wanted to recap all the worlds. Yakir: I suppose the best things in life are the things that are never fully explained. ^^ Lexi: Yup! *randomly curls her tail around to tickle him a little while she hops from world-fragment to world-fragment* Yakir: *starts laughing a bit, rather ticklish* xd *would return the tickling if she wasn't in the middle of a game, and chooses instead to wrap his tail around hers a little* Lexi: ^_^ heart *continues on, ends up in a boss fight against a giant black demon-thing that's standing in a volcano* Yakir: Hmm...he looks menacing. biggrin Lexi: Yeah. He doesn't look like a Heartless, so maybe he's a Disney villian. I wonder what he's from. Yakir: Me too. *obviously wouldn't know*Lexi: I wonder if I can find out...*beats the boss, flies inside the volcano, runs into more random heartless battles* Yakir: We could always have a disney movie marathon to figure it out. 3nodding Lexi: Oh, yes! We definitely should! They're fun movies. biggrin Yakir: *nods* Yeah, especially if they're all as good as Aladdin. ^^ Lexi: Some of them are better than others, but there's a lot of really good ones. *opens a door and ends up at what looks like Destiny Islands* Hey! This is where Sora lived at the beginning of the game! It got destroyed about the same time he got his Keyblade! Yakir: An island, huh? Wonder if it was as peaceful as Namiah normally is. =3 Lexi: It looks like it was...until the Heartless showed up. Custscene where it looks like Riku's standing by the water in a dark outfit, but then he morphs into Ansem and has to be fought* No, Riku! Maybe beating this fight will save him... Yakir: Hopefully. It'd be kinda sad if he was fated to spend his entire time a slave to the dark side. D= Lexi: But...but he can't! This is Disney, sort of! They have to have happy endings! gonk Yakir: Didn't you say there was a part two? Maybe they're leaving drama in so there's something to do in part two. If you can't save him now, maybe you can him then. He'll be saved eventually though, I'm sure of that. Maybe right now, in this game. ^^ Lexi: Maybe. smile *beats the boss fight with Ansem* Alright! *ground cracks open into a evil-looking purple rift* Uh-oh...*jumps in for final boss fight, which involves what looks like a giant floating, living deformed spacey ship-thing with Ansem (from the waist up) stuck on the prow* ...o_O I guess they had to get one last bit of wierdness in. Yakir: I guess so. Oo So do bosses at the end of a game usually have to be defeated twice?Lexi: Yup. Sometimes mroe than twice, and they keep warping to stranger forms. I guess they want to drag out the drama more. Yakir: I imagine it'd get kind of annoying to those who are running out of items or spells to heal to have a newer, stronger form of the same boss they'd been fighting for over 20 minutes suddenly appear. xd Lexi: Yeah. XD I suppose you have to know to stock up on lots of items and stuff at the end of the game. *finally beats the boss* Yay! Is it gona transform again? *goes to long, dramatic final cutscene* YAY! *cutscene involves the door to Kingdom Hearts opening and light shining out, but heartless are swarming inside it. Riku and King Mickey are inside, and help Sora close the door after promising they'll meet again. Mickey, who also has a Keyblade, and Sora use their Keyblades to lock the door. Then all the worlds are restored and Kairi randomly appears, only to float away on a fragment of earth as Destiny Island reforms around her, and Sora promises he'll see her again someday. End credits with more videos* Whoo! I beat the game! *jumps up and dances* Yakir: Awesome! =D *dances with her just because* And looks like you got to save Riku, so it was a happy ending! ^^ Lexi: Yeah!...Except now he's locked away inside Kingdom Hearts. But at least he's with King Mickey, who seems to be really powerful, I bet he finds a way to get them out. smile Now...Should I play Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, or go straught to Kingdom Hearts 2?... Yakir: Hmmm...which one comes next in the timeline? Lexi: Well, Chain of Memories...except Sora is made to forget all of it at the end, so as far as he's concerned, it never happened. I heard you learn a bit more of the story, but you can do without it and it repeats a lot from the first Kingdom hearts. And Dad's in both Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 2. Yakir: Ah, so it really doesn't matter then. ^^ *thinks* Which one came out first? *assuming that one of them had to have been released before the other* Lexi: Um...I think Chain of Memories. Except it's for the Gameboy Advanced, which is a handheld system. Though they recently remade it into a PS2 version called Kingdome Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. It's pretty much the same as the gameboy version, except 3D instead of sprites. And with some voiceacting.Yakir: So which version do you have? =3Lexi: I don't have either yet. I'll have to ask mew for a copy.Yakir: Maybe we can ask mew which version she recommends?Lexi: That could work! smile I wonder where she is now. *looks around*Yakir: *looks around, frowning at a strange form in the shadows, barely even visible* Lexi: *sees where Yakir's looking and looks, too* ...Is that you?*grins widely but says nothing* Yakir: Do you think it's her?Lexi: There's an easy way to find out. *shoots a couple very bright fireballs at the figure**hair catches on fire* eek HothotHOT! *runs around for a bit before plunging her head in a snowbank. sits up and sizzles* o_O; Yakir: Hey, it is her. Good job, Lexi! =3Lexi: Yay! ^_^ So mew, what do you recommend, Kingdom Hearts 2, or Chain of Memories?;_; *still sizzling and not happy* Yakir: *tilts his head* I guess fire and mews don't mix well.Lexi: I guess not. *dumps some more snow on mew's head* That better?*stopped sizzling now* ...A little. Lexi: Good! So, which do you recommend?...KH2. Better story. Lexi: You're being rather quiet...I'm sorry about the fire, I didn't mean to hit you....'Sokay. Imma go find some aloe now. *scoots off to treat her burned head* Yakir: Aloe helps burns a lot. ^^ Sounds like Kingdom Hearts 2 is the next one. 3nodding Lexi: Yup. :3 I'll ask mew for a copy later, when she's taken care of the burn. So...when do you want to have that Disney movie marathon? Yakir: Anytime you'd like to is fine with me. =3 Lexi: Wanna do it on Saturday, then?Yakir: Sure! That sounds like fun. 3nodding Lexi: That's the date, then. ^_^ *realizes something* That's Valentine's Day, isn't it? Yakir: *thinks* Oh! My mom did say that was coming up. ^^ Did you know there're two versions of it?Lexi: Is there? I hadn't heard that. What are the versions?Yakir: Well, there's the English version where both girls and boys give gifts on the same day, and there's the Japanese version where the holiday is split amongst two different days. First the girls give the gifts, and then the boys do on the other day. I think Dad called it White day. Lexi: Huh, I wonder why the Japanese do it that way. Is White Day the next day or something? Yakir: *shrugs* I think White Day's the next day. I'm not sure why they celebrate it in that manner though. Maybe so everyone who recieves gifts can return the favor?Lexi: I suppose that's a nice way of doing things. Though it seems like you could give return gifts anyway, if you really wanted to.Yakir: *nods* Yeah. ^^ Anything in particular you'd like?Lexi: Huh? *surprised by the question* No, nothing in particular. It seems like it'd be kind of rude of me to ask for a gift, anyway. Anything you think is good is fine by me. smile Yakir: Okay. I'll see if I can get you something nice. ^^ Lexi: Great! I can't wait. ^_^ I'll have to see what I can come up with for you. Yakir: Cool. =D *will like pretty much anything she gets him* Lexi: ^_^ So, have any preference for what order we watch the Disney movies? Yakir: Maybe we go start with the ones you find only okay and move on from there, ending with the ones you like best. =DLexi: Hmm, thay could work. I'll have to sit down with them and figure out how much I like them. That could take a while. smile Yakir: Especially since you said they're mostly pretty good. 3nodding Lexi: Yup! I haven't seen some of them in a while, so I'll have to refresh my memory about them. Yakir: Hopefully that won't be too hard. =3 Lexi: I'm sure it'll be fun, so it won't be so bad. smile Yakir: Kind of like remembering your childhood? That's usually fun. =3 Though certain parts of it weren't all that great. >.> Lexi: My childhood was spent playing a lot of Sonic games. Or at least my teenhood was. *frowns at his last sentance, looking concerned* You had parts that weren't so great?Yakir: Well, just one night that wasn't so great. I was a teen at the time, along with my siblings, and we were out in the clearing. I forget exactly how it started, but we ran into the family of my sister's friend Latte. Corbin somehow scared one of Latte's sisters, and Latte's dad decided to give a threatening glance at him. Or something like that. He gave a threatening warning to Corbin and Dad didn't like that because Latte's dad was an elder, so it didn't set a good example for us the teens. So the two of them get in an argument which resulted in Dad saying that we had to leave the clearing. I didn't want to leave the clearing because I thought it wasn't fair, so I protested. I even went so far as to use my web powers in an attempt to stick myself there. Not that it worked. He brought us home and as punishment Corbin and I were put into web coccoons and hung upside down from the treehouse for the night. It really wasn't a very fun experience. >.> Lexi: o_O Wow. That's pretty cruel and unusual punishment. And unfair. I guess it's good that you only had the one night that wasn't so great, but that must have been one really uncomfortable night. Yakir: Well I kinda just zoned out for the rest of that night. So I really didn't think or feel much of anything until I got out of it that morning. I felt kinda dizzy because the blood rushed to my head. *shrugs* I don't think Mom would have let that happen again. She felt it was unusual too. Oh, and Dad actually forbade us from talking with anyone from that family, but mom talked to him and he let it go. Yuri and Latte decided to take matters into their own paws and run away though, which was a little bad on their part. I understand perfectly why they did so, but Yuri could have trusted Mom and how well she can explain why something isn't fair to Dad. I'm glad that they were caught, because I don't know if I would have ever seen them again if they hadn't. Oh, Yuri and Latte are together. Not sure if you guessed that or not, I just thought to add it. So the bad night turned out to have a happy ending. 3nodding Lexi: That's good that they got together at the end. smile I suppose that means you have kind of a big family too, huh?Yakir: Yes it is. ^^ *nods* Our family is decently big. =3

Making Plans (Feb 16th) Yakir: *wanders out into the clearing, looking around* Lexi: *sitting off to one side happily nomming conversation hearts* Hi Yakir! *waves* Yakir: Hi Lexi! ^^ *wanders over* How're you? biggrin Lexi: I'm good. I've been snacking on the candies you gave me. The little messages on them are funny. Yakir: *nods* Yeah, I was looking through a few of them and they were pretty interesting. Kind of creative how they save space by using single letters and numbers. ^^ Lexi: Yeah. I wonder where they got that idea. Yakir: Maybe they're just clever. ^^ Lexi: Maybe. So... *nuzzles him*...anything new? Yakir: ^^ *nuzzles back* Hm, nothing new as far as I can tell. I think it's getting warmer though. 3nodding Lexi: Yeah, it is. It'll be nice to see all the flowers and stuff bloom. Yakir: Agreed. I was born sometime in the Summer, so they were pretty much already in bloom when I hatched. ^^ Lexi: *pauses to think* I think I was born in the summer, too. Huh, what a coincidence. Yakir: That's kind of neat. biggrin What day? According to my mom I was born on the 25th. Lexi: Of what month? There's three months that are considered summer. Yakir: It was in June. The 25th of June. 3nodding Lexi: I was born in July. July...8th, I think. Yakir: So we're not too far apart. ^^ I wonder if you or any of your family members met my siblings. Lexi: Well, considering how big my family is, I'd guess the odds are pretty good someone's met someone in your family. Yakir: Probably. ^^ Ever meet anyone named Dorian, Yuri, or Corbin before? Lexi: I don't think I've met them. That doesn't mean anyone else hasn't. *shrugs* Yakir: True. *thinks* That reminds me...you haven't met my family yet. Would you like to? Lexi: Sure! When can I meet them? Yakir: Anytime you'd like is fine. Mom'll be easier to find than my dad or my siblings though, so it might be a little while before you can meet them. Lexi: We ought to do that sometime soon, then. Yakir: Okay. ^^ Does tomorrow work? Lexi: Sure! I'll see if I can bring along one of my family, too. It'd probably by my nephew Caerus, I see him the most. Yakir: Okay, that sounds nice. *is reminded of something* He's the one who runs fast, right? I remember you mentioning that you had a nephew who ran fast. Lexi: Yup, that's him. I have no idea where he got it from, nobody else in our family is that fast. Yakir: That reminds me of Yuri. She has a unique power compared to me and our other siblings. Even unique compared to Dad. 3nodding Lexi: Unique power? *thinks a minute* Was she the one that's psychic or something? Yakir: Yep. That's her. She's also the one with a mate and kits.
