Prancing around in the forest, apparently, Chitsa had decided to take a detour before going back to the teepee. Plus, she didn't hear Sisika's ear-piercing voice through the forest so she was probably safe for now. The foal looked around curiously wondering if there was anybody around. She was bored to death even though she had just met another soquili awhile ago. Nothing kept her attention span long unless it talked.

Meeki
Scar stepped away from the berry patch.. if it could even be called one. It was rather sparse. It didn't bother him that a large stallion and a red mare darted past him towards the clearing. Nor did it bother him that the black and white mare was scuttling about as if she thought no one knew she was there. It seemed no one cared where he was or what he was doing and that was fine by him.

Scar wasn't sure what to do. Should he go back to the clearing and continue to learn to fly? Or should he venture towards the mountains or enter the forest? The river might be an interesting option. He found it relaxing to watch the fish swim about. Before he was able to make a decision however, he caught sight of another young Soquili. She was a little smaller than him and had wings that were similare to the one he met the other day that was a high flyer. He wasn't very fond of females. They had cooties afterall.

Scar galloped over to the young filly and stated quite assuredly, "You have to pay a toll to pass through my land. Four berries is the going rate but since your a girl, I'll make it six."

AnimeChickie
The tiny little foal didn't even notice Scar a few feet away from her until he spoke. Raising a brow slightly at him, she summed him up. He didn't seem that tough. Who was he to be demanding pay from her? That was absolutely rediculous.

As he spoke, Chitsa only blinked rapidly and stared at Scar blankly. How odd... "Ah hem. Pardon me for asking. How is this your land? And why does me being a girl make a difference how much I pay?" Wow. He seemed like quite a character. She wasn't quite the soquili to judge others but it was hard not to say Scar seemed extremely arrogant and rude.

Meeki
Scar trotted around the smaller female rather boldly. "This is my land because I have said so and I was here before you 'cuz I spotted you first!" Scar couldn't help but feel quite plain against the uniquely colored female. She reminded him of something but he couldn't quite place it.

"Don't girls know anything? You have to pay more because of the cooties. We risk getting sick by being around you so the least you could do is pay extra berries. I probably have cooties already." Scar snorted and wrinkled his nostrils. Girls were so weird. Didn't they know anything? "Well, are you going to pay up or what?"

AnimeChickie
Chitsa continued to blink rapidly at Scar. What an odd soquili. No. Odd wasn't the word. He was more... arrogant then odd. "'Cus I spotted you first' is going to be your excuse? I don't see your name written anywhere on it. Do you even have a name?" She was willing to bet that he didn't have one.

Chitsa was taken aback at his reason for charging her more because she was a girl. "Well now. I hope I give you a whole mess of cooties then." Hmph. How nice he was. "And of course I'm not going to pay. And if you'll excuse me, then I'll be quick when I'm on 'your' land." She couldn't help but add a little sarcasm to the end of her sentence.

Gliding past him quickly, Chitsa still couldn't use her wings but she was swift. Hopefully more swift than Scar was.

Meeki
Scar blinked at the question. "Of course I have a name. It's a good name. The best name. Better than any girl name, that's for sure." Hmmph. He always knew he didn't like girls and this was why! They were just so complicating.

"Fine, you can pass on my land for free. You probably couldn't find any berries anyway since I ate them all." Scar stated before quickly adding, "You can keep your cooties too!" He really didn't want to catch any cooties. He hated being sick.

Scar followed a few feet behind the female foal. "My name is Scar. Now that you know mine, you'll have to tell me yours."

AnimeChickie
Chitsa stuck her tongue at him. "Yea right." She slowed down her pace now that he wasn't in her way. It wasn't like she really was in any hurry to get back to her teepee. "Mhmm. Sure." The filly kept on walking straight forward not looking back.

Though she was surprised to still hear him walking behind her that she couldn't help but glance back. "Chitsa." She said rather hesitantly and returned her gaze back in front of her. Chitsa's glittering tail flickered back and forth, making a soft 'swish' noise as she moved.

Man. This soquili was weeeeird. Guys never did any good to the world anyway. Sisika said that they were all bums and liars. Chitsa seemed to believe everything that Sisika said... Scar didn't seem like a bum or a liar but she sure didn't want to find out if he was.

Meeki
Scar's eyes widened at the tongue being stuck at him. That had never happened to him before. A little curious, he stuck his out back at her.

After a moment of following, he quickened his pace so that he was walking along side her. "I always wondered," he started as he lowered his head to get a closer look at her body, as if searching for something, "Just how do you girls get cooties anyway, and how come it doesn't make you sick?"

Though it seemed the adult males were the ones to get sick and act weird around the females, Scar didn't want to risk it. He didn't know if he was capable of catching the cooties or not since he was just a foal and he hoped he would never get them. He didn't want to be like those crazy males with wobbly knees, drooling all the time at females. Cooties seemed pretty strong.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he stuck his tongue back at her. Why was this guy following her? How... creepy. "Cooties? We're born with them, man." She had no idea actually, she had a vague idea of what cooties were but how girls got cooties without getting sick were beyond her. "I have... no idea." She shrugged softly and continud to walk forwards.

Meeki
Scar sighed before turning to walk back to where he had been. He was used to no one liking him or wanting him around. He was rude afterall but it seemed to come naturally to him. He rather liked it as well.

"Oh well, not like they matter anyway," he reassured himself. Stupid girls. Stupid Soquili. Who needed friends? Scar glanced back once more at Chitsa before sighing again. He unfolded his wings and attempted to fly and like usual, got about a foot off the ground before dropping back down to it. He wanted to learn to fly. Maybe then.. other things wouldn't matter as much.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa couldn't help but glance back at him but then she quickly looked forward again. She heard his wings flapping and she turns around this time. She was too busy trying to ignore him to even notice his wings. She tilts her head as she sees them. They were much... different then her own. "I can't fly either..." She added with a soft tone of voice.

Meeki
A pained expression came over Scar's face. "I can fly..." he pouted, "I'm just not very good at it... yet. But today is going to be the day I really fly. I can feel it." Scar turned over to face Chitsa. "Maybe you can fly today too." He cocked his head to the side and looked at the other foals wings. They certainly were unusual but he had seen that other butterfly winged Soquili fly quite well. She had even claimed to be a high flyer.

AnimeChickie
Continuing to stare at him, she couldn't help but feel skeptical about being able to fly period. "Alright. Whatever you say." Chitsa shrugged slightly at his comment. "I've already tried today. It didn't work." Sisika kept telling her over and over that her wings just weren't big enough to support the petite foal.

Meeki
Scar was a firm believer that he wouldn't have his wings if he weren't able to use them so was sure they would be able to fly. All they needed was some.. motivation. He had a few ideas on how it could be done and decided the easier option would be best to start off with.

"Okay, what if.. we chased each other. Like.. you could chase me with your cooties and try to kiss me.." Scar made a truly disgusting face at that mere idea, "and I would chase you and try to bite you and kick you. I noticed when one has something to get away from, they try harder. Maybe we just need to try harder."

Scar took a couple steps towards the other foal and waited for her response. He didn't think it was a terrible idea but he had no idea how a girl would take it.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa stared at him with blank eyes. He was crazy. Oh my god. She was talking to an insane soquili. What should she do?! "That is. One of the most insane ideas I have ever heard in my life. It's so insane that it might actually work." How naive the poor little girl was but I guess if he was chasing her, that could get some adrenaline rushing through her veins. Who knew...

Meeki
Scar grinned and a twinkle came briefly to his eyes. "Cool. Should I chase you first or do you want to chase me first. Or maybe we can chase each other at the same time, like.. around a big tree or something like that."

Scar really had no idea if it would hurt but it did sound a bit fun at least. He had never really played with another Soquili before. Of course, he wouldn't really hurt her.. and he hoped she wouldn't really kiss him if she did catch up to him.

AnimeChickie
Raising a brow, "Um. You should go first. I think... if we chased each other, that wouldn't be so effective." Again, hopefully she was faster than he was but chances of that were very slim... very slim indeed.

The little foal winked at him and giggled before she dashed off. Chitsa wove through trees hoping to lose him somehow. Because she was so naive, she was willing to bet that he might hurt her.

Meeki
Scar took off in a dash after Chitsa in an attempt to catch up to her. She was pretty fast but he was sure he stood a good chance. She wasn't half bad for a girl, he thought while chasing her.

As Scar started to get closer to the female foal, he yelled out in an attempt to frighten her, "Won't be long now until I catch you and when I do, I'm going to kick you so hard that you cry for days!"

He could only hope it sounded believable enough.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa continued to hop with grace over tree roots but then she noticed that he was coming up closer to her. The little foal squeaked in surprise and moved even quicker. She hoped... that what he said wasn't true.

Her lets moved rapidly, in a wild mess, and it would only be time until she either ran into a tree or tripped over her own feet. Hopefully, it would be the latter of the two so it wouldn't be so painful.

Quote:
Gazing out at the lake, Sisika sharpened her spear tenderly as if it was a baby. The young teenager had spent most of her years learning to live on her own and this was an... ordinary day for her. Watching Chitsa grow up and mature was just like having a kid of her own.

Crawling out of the tent slowly, Chitsa yawned wildly as she blinked around in the bright light. Sleep was still a factor in this young foal's life. She stretched her thin gradient blue wings lazily. She wondered if today would be the day. The day she would fly. She had, had so many failed attempts in the past but it was fine with her. She was still quite the perky soul whether she was down or up.

Sisika couldn't help but grin at the tiny foal. She was just so cute and that was rare for this indian to think. Definitely not the type of companion she would be seen with on a day to day basis but Siska couldn't complain. Chitsa was a welcome inhabitant because of her optimistic and random attitude.

After continuing to stretch her butterfly-like wings for a little while longer, Chitsa attempted to... fly. Every day her wings were growing stronger and stronger, soon they'd be able to life her petite body mass off of the ground. And she couldn't wait for that day to come.

Sisika watched the little foal with a certain fondness in her eyes. It was just odd for her to feel any emotion for another organism. But Chitsa... Chitsa was an exception. Definitely.

Bouncing around, Chitsa couldn't up but wonder if she was going to grow big and strong like soquili she had met. She jumped up and down flapping her large wings hopelessly. The poor foal frowned as she didn't get much farther than a foot off of the ground. But she perked up quickly.

((Scar, Chitsa, and High Flyer continued...))

Meeki
As Scar chased after Chitsa and although he hadn't been thinking of flying yet, his wings seemed to instinctively move on their own. His hooves were barely touching the ground.

It wasn't anything new to the young colt as he had made it off the ground before. Just never more than a foot or so. "I'm going to catch you," he yelled triumphantly as he continued to chase the little filly. She was really fast for a girl. Perhaps if he were to ever play in any games, it wouldn't be so bad to have her on his team.

Shariea
The sun shown brilliantly along the peaks, raining through thr clouds in dappled patterns across the landscape below her. It was this breath taking sight that High flyer so adored. Her wings buzzled behind her as she zipped back and forth, a little stream of colored sparkles falling off the tips of her wings as she went. Her teal mane and tail streamed behind her like a fan fare. Puffing up her chest she slowly exhauled, scanning the landscape below her. She was Searching for a winged colt.

Her wing beats seemed to slow for a moment as she caught movement down below. A gleeful whinny escaped her and she rose her front hooves into the air, pawing at the very clouds themselves. "Hello down there!" she called, doubtful they could hear her cry.

With a determined look set upon her face she tucked her wings and began a controlled fall to earth. Her sleek form aiming for the two specks upon the horrizon, one brown and one a deep purple hue.

High flyer pulled herself short and gracefully touched her hooves to the green grass. She held her small head high and grinned at the children. Her tail gave one quick flick before she lightly trotted over the last crest of the hill to watch them play.

Meeki
As Scar turned a corner, he noticed the Soquili that was a high flyer. He was torn between continuing chasing the little female foal or going to talk to the great flyer again.

When he turned away from High Flyer to continue chasing after Chitsa, he noticed a large rock was coming at him quickly and instinctively he flew high into the air to dodge it. "Wow, that was close," he mumbled.

It took him a few moments to realize that he was indeed flying. It seemed to take little effort in the end, as if his wings always had the strength but he did not have the true confidance needed. "I can fly!" he screamed at the top of his lungs to anyone that would care to listen.

He was still a little wobbly in flight but he was indeed flying. Now that he got up.. how exactly would he.. get back down?

Shariea
High flyer smiled with glee as she watched the little colt turn from her nad dart after his friend. She noted the little flutter was one of Shaylee's children, such a small world, yet how many other flutters where there anyway? She blinked as this thought crossed her mind. She'd only ever met shaylee, and she had a beau named Azure. These her offspring...she blinked once more and chuckled. She'd never ever recalled seeing a male flutter before. Perhaps her kin where rare.

With a toss of her mane she dismissed these thoughts and trotted lightly over the creast of the hill, her mane and tall lightly blowing upon the gentle breeze that greeted her. As the wind toyed with her teal tresses, she closed her eyes and sighed. The scent of freash spring flowers wafted upon the breeze towards her. Winter had finally realsed its grasp and spring was starting to show her colors.

As the little flutter opened her eyes she has to blink again in astonishment. The little colt was flying! "Great Job!" she nickered, very pleased to have witnessed what she guessed was his first flight. She Whickered lightly, and reared up on her hind legs, her front hooves pawing at the air. Her wings fluttered behind her as her prancing hooves touched the soft grass once more. "That was Very good!" she exclaimed, proud of her new found friend.

She trotted down the landscape, past the bolder that he hand lept over, following him on the ground as he stuggled above her with uncertanty. "Dont worry about the ground, Just fly as long as you can before your wings start to ache." she tried to point out helpfully. She glanced around for the other filly, trying to see where she'd gone off to. Could Shaylee's young fly as well?

Meeki
Scar had waited his entire life for this moment. Okay, so it wasn't a long wait, but still, it felt like a long time to him. As he flew haphazardly, he felt more alive than ever before. It didn't take him long to spot High Flyer just a little bit below him and yellwed triumphantly, "It's not very high but it's a start!"

He was worried about landing though.. and worse, crashing into something. He shook his head and concentrated on flying and as each minute passed, he seemed to become more stable in the air. He wasn't quite sure how to land but he had to try something. He simply stopped flying but kept his wings out in an attempt to glide which worked well. It wasn't long before he found himself on the ground and running towards High Flyer.

"I did it! Did you see me? I did it!" He jumped in the air around the mare, so excited. He was so happy that he ignored the pain that came from the muscles in his wings and from his shoulder areas. A few more flights and the muscles would loosen up better.

Shariea
High flyer whinned and shook her head back, her teal mane flowing over her pale body like ribbons of rain. Her front hooves pranced upon the ground and she could only grin. "Yes I did, You did a wonderful Job! In fact.." she commented with a wry grin as she came to stand before him. "I think you did much better than I had on my first flight." Giggling she nodded her head. She'd been to ambisous for her own good and tried to fly high and fast at her first go....

Shaking the memories of her childhood away she grinned down at the elated scar. "It wont be long now and you'll be soaring with the eagles." She winked at him, her aqua eyes glimmering with pride. "I may even be in for a bit of trouble when you finally want to race." high flyer said in an off handed manner, her wings flicking ever so softly.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa stopped as she noticed that he had stopped chasing her. Her blue eyes went wide. Wow. He was flying! "Oh... my... word." The little foal continued to stare at him in awe.

The little girl turned her gaze at High Flyer. Well... Will you look at that... Another flutter, that had similar wings to her. Amazing. What an amazing day. She bounces over to High Flyer excitedly. "Hey there!"

Meeki
Scar grinned and said, "Just wait until I grow up!" He wondered if the race would ever really take place but didn't mind anymore if it did or didn't. He was very happy that he had actually been in the air.

Scar turned as Chitsa arrived. It was a little strange seeing the two flutters together. he suddenly felt out of place, both by gender and race. "Do you think you could help Chitsa to fly high?", he asked the larger flutter. "My plan didn't help her at all," he reluctantly added a moment later.

Shariea
High flyer chuckled softly as the little flutter approched her. "Hello there.. You're one of Shaylee's youngin's arnt you?" She asked softly. "I know your Ma." Her wings flexed softly as she tilted her head back to scar. She smiled at him. "Well You did splendedly for your first time. Im sure we can try and see if her wings are strong enough to give it a shot. What have you tried?" She asked the both of them, eyes darting back and forth between the foals.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa tilted her head and gazed at High Flyer in awe and then she looked at Scar as he asked that question.

But her attention was quickly reverted back to High Flyer as she mentions Shaylee. "My mother? Shaylee is my mother?" She had no idea. That was the odd feeling that she got around her. My goodness. That must be it! She's Shaylee's daughter. "I never. I never knew that..."

Though Chitsa's ears perked up and she shrugged. "Well. He tried chasing me to see if that would make me fly or not..."

Meeki
Scar frowned a bit at the news. He never knew his parents and didn't want to either. They abandoned him so they can die for all he cared. How nice it was for Chitsa to find out who her mother is, he thought to himself, sarcastically. The foals last comment caught his attention and snapped him out of his thoughts, "Well, it worked for me."

Before waiting to see what comments may come back at him, he turned and ran off. His wings still needed a break before he flew again. He just wanted away from the two females. The conversation brought back that feeling of loneliness and abandonment and he just wanted to be alone.

Shariea
High flyer blinked a bit and tilted her head. "You didnt know she was your mother? Then what of your father, Surely you know him? It strikes me as odd she was not a better mother... But of corse I havent seen her in awhile. Perhaps circomstances have come up. " She smiled and lightly pressed her forhead to the younger mare, in an attempt to comfort her. "You'll get to know her in time, Im sure." She tookd a step back and blinked as scar began to slink away.

"hey.. " she began, frowning lightly. That boys mood seemed to shift as suddenly as an oncoming squall on an other wise clear day. A moment ago he'd been elated in his first flight, and now he was slinking off to be alone. She sighed softly and flexed her wings, for She couldnt stand still for very long.

"We'll be right here if you need us..." she called out to him, a hint of sadness trailing on her silky voice. She didnt want to see him Go, in fact she really liked the little ones company. Sighing softly she turned back to the little flutter. "Well now.. lets see if you're wings are strong enoughto get you off the gound... Our wings work differntlt than the feathers on His... Have you watched the bugs Fly?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

"Our wings rather work like that, You must keep them moving at a very fast pace. " To demonstrait She began to flick her wings back and forth, until they began to blur. "Now, this is only nessicary to get off the ground, and in the air, or to speed through the upper currants." Her hooves left the ground and she lightly pranced around in lazy circles around the filly. "Now.. when you get off the ground and have managed to aquire your lift you can slow down your wing speed like this..." Her wings slowed to the pace of a butterfly, her wings clearly visable with each stroke. "Now, You try."

AnimeChickie
Chitsa shook her head rapidly. "No. I don't know any of my parents..." It was odd but she only saw Sisika when she emerged so she knew nothing of her lineage. She tilted her head curiously at High flyer as she mentions bugs. "Hm. No I've never really... watched a bug fly..."

Watching the older mare intently, she copied her. She moved her wings and she got off the ground but then she noticed that Scar had run off. She stepped back on the ground with a frown. "I'm sorry Miss High Flyer but I need to go see what's wrong with Scar." She ran off in the same direction that Scar did.

She didn't like seeing people like that and even though she didn't know much about him, she wanted to learn.

Staring out into the open area, Chitsa couldn't help but sigh. She was bored... It's not that Sisika was boring there just wasn't enough for the hyperactive adult to do. Though, her mood changed quite often and it was hard to tell what she actually liked and disliked. Her shimmering cerulean blue tail flickered back and forth as she stood under a tree.

It was still astonishing to her that her mother was Shaylee. It was unbelievable that she didn't know...

Shariea
A whickering call echoed across the plains as the dark stalion reared up, his front hooves pawing at the sky. He Whickered again and smirked for as his front hooves touched the soil he took off. His strong form tearing through the thickets, running through the small stream and grazing past the trees. It felt so good to run, so wild and free.

His ebony tresses trailed behind his sleek charcole form. His tail wipped behind him as he ran, his silver under belly the only flash of moment that really seemed to give away his shadowy form. Dappled rays of sunlight shown down upon him, drifting upon his path as he went.

Finally he slowed to a stop, his hooves prancing as he pulled up short of a purple mare. He frowned...such odd colored mares he'd seen lately. He snorted softly and nodded his head in greeting to her, however he remained silent.

AnimeChickie
Ears twitching, Chitsa heard something nearby. Though she paid no attention to it because it was probably... nothing. She pawed at the ground slightly, making a small ditch. Boring... Boring... Boring.

Though she couldn't help but squint when she noticed another soquili nearby. Her heart skipped a beat and she began to walk over towards him. There was an obvious happiness to her step as she approached the stallion. "Hello there." She spoke in a soft tone, yet she had a soft smile on her expression.

Shariea
Waya blinked abit and squinted his eyes at the smaller female approched him. Had she wings? Well now wasnt this just his day.... first a what was she... Uni-corn? and now this tiny little....wingged....thing. He snorted a bit and began to wonder if he was dreaming all these random encounters of brightly colored horses.

He shook his head as she spoke and nodded gently. Huffing he spoke, his bartone voice was gruff yet sooth. It was clear that he didnt speak often. "Waya." He said, and that was it. His name and that was all. Ebony tail flicked against the ground in a soft moment and he sighed, supposing she would like to be addressed more than just that.

He cleared his throat and glanced down at her again. "Nice to meet you...."

AnimeChickie
Chitsa blinked wildly and tilts her head at him. Once again, she was much shorter than he was, so... she probably would have to get used to that.

"Oh. That's your name? It's quite the pleasure to meet you Waya." She grinned foolishly at him. Hmm. She wondered if she could make up a nickname for him... "I go by Chitsa." She couldn't help but smile once again. "Aaanyway. How are you on this fine day?"

Shariea
Waya found himself smiling down at the little one, her smile was infectous. Clearing his troat again he glanced away. "nice to meet you.. Chitsa. " He looked up at the sky and sighed softly, his tail again whipping at the ground. "Just out for a run, thats all...what about you?" He asked her, looking down at her once again.

His ebony forlock fell in front of his right eye, masking it from veiw and giving his hair a very wild and rebelous look. He smirked softly again, his visable eye clearly tracing over her wings. "What...are those? " he asked her, clearly curious.

AnimeChickie
It was hard to believe that Chitsa was an adult. She still seemed like the little foal awhile back but just because appearances change doesn't mean she has to too.

The female nodded rapidly. "Ooh. Run!" She smiled and continued to nod. "Oh. I wasn't doing much. Just taking a peek in here to see if there was anybody around.

Chitsa paused a turned her head to see what he was staring at. "Oh! Um. Wings?" She wasn't sure if he was talking about that but... yea. She got those comments often and she usually forgot she had wings.

Shariea
Waya chuckled inwardly at the small female, she was so full of life and very naieve.. just like the uni-corn he'd met. He sighed softly, perhaps it was their age...perhaps it was the fact that she was...a differnt breed entirely. Never the less, she didnt seem to have much sense of the world. Yet, that was also part of this ones charm. The tottal innocence of it all.

He nodded quietly. "Yes...I like to run." he stated in a point blank manner, offering no eleboration. He smiled softly and glanced at her wings again. They seemed to shimmer as the warm rays of sunlight danced across their translucent form.

"They....are pretty." he said finally and nodded, although he couldnt fathom how they would be of any use. They looked too fragile for her to fly. Could she fly? Well of corse, what was the use of having wings if you couldnt fly? Yet... those wings looked so easily broken. He frowned softly and lowered his head, craning his neck to look at her wings closley. He gently nudged his nose against them, not to be rude or to hurt...just to see if they where as fragile as they looked....

AnimeChickie
Chitsa nodded once again. "That's nice." She tilted her head softly as he gazed at her wings. She wondered what he could be thinking about.

It was hard for her to run for long periods of time. She didn't have much stamina and was prone to getting sick easily.

"Aww. Thank you very much!" She was flattered that he said that and she blushed slightly but because of her dark fur it was hard to tell. She giggled wildly as he nudged his nose against one of her wings. "Hey! That tickles."

Shariea
Waya's breath hit him warm in the face as it bounced off of her wing. He snorted soft and shook his head, finally drawing away as she giggled. "Sorry." he mummbled as he wrinkled his nose, it felt funny like ther was a fine dusting of something on the tip of her nose. He snorted again and shook his head from side to side trying to rid himself of the sensation.

"Can you fly?" he finally asked her at length, for the wings where indeed stronger than they appeared. Much like that of a Giant butter fly. He tilted his head to the side and cast his gaze downward. She was still as giddy as ever it seemed and slowly the smirk returned to his face. She truely had an infectous manner.

AnimeChickie
She was quite the ticklish soquili so it wasn't unusual. Chitsa stretches her wings lazily.

"Actually. Maybe I can and maybe I can't. Maybe I should try." She hadn't tried since she became an adult. She might... actually be more successful now but she definitely was a late bloomer because Scar started flying while he was a foal. She was a tad envious of him but she didn't mind.

Shariea
Waya quirked his eyebrow and tilted his head to the side. "You dont know? I see.. well... maybe one day then.." she after all didnt seem that very old. Maybe just becomeing an adult he concluded.

He smiled and flicked his tail. His front hooves lightly prancing against the soft soil. "When was the last time you tried?" He was becoming increasingly interested in the fact that maybe she could fly... a flying horse..now there was something to see!

AnimeChickie
Chitsa giggled and shrugged slightly. "Well you know what. We'll see now." She paused and pondered. "I think. I think I tried right before I became an adult. Hm." She pondered something.

"Well. Here goes nothing." The female backed up and stretched her wings once more. Quickly, she jumped into the air and her wings started moving up and down. She actually stayed in the air for a minute or so and a smile was starting to creep up on her face but she fell back down to the earth.

Chitsa frowned slightly but then shrugged. "Maybe they're still weak... I'll try again later." She grinned a foolish grin once again.

Shariea
Waya watched her as she jumped into the air, everything seemed to slow down for a moment... Her wing beats, the air, his breath, his heart...and then all at once she fell to the ground once more and lightly stumbled. Oh what it must be like to have wings! Surely she could fly once her wings where strong enough, her words seemed to conferm that she was in fact still very young.

Slowly he nodded and even smiled a little but, his bright blue eyes twinkling softly in the sunlight. "Im sure someday you'll sore... and on that day I will envy you above all others." He baratone voice was soft as he spoke this final phraze for he was most in awe of her in this moment. She was very close to beging able to fly now...that short moment of time that she had spent in the air was proof of that.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa giggled after falling back on the ground. "Ah well. That's that. But... it was fun." She giggled once more with excitement. "Aww. Envy me? Nah. I envy you for even being able to run."

The female nodded wildly. Everything she seemed to do was with excitement. It would be hard to ever see her sad or anything other than happy.

Shariea
Waya chuckled very softly and smirked. "Well then I suppose we'll just have to stick to envying one another then." he nodded softly and that was the end of that. He flung the few strands of ebony hair that had gotten into his eyes off to the side and looked at her again. "Soon enough you'll fly.. No worries."

He seemed to have relaxed and opened up very quickly to the little hyper one. Which was strange in itself, but in truth..he held a certain amount of respect for her quiet nature. She hadnt lived a hard life like he had, and although afew life lessons that she would learn in the future would harden her... she'd never be as callous as he found himself now. And again he envied her for that as well. This little frail flutter, who couldnt yet fly...

AnimeChickie
Grinning wildly, she was starting to like this guy. He was nice, hopefully he would allow her to call him friend. That would be nice... She only had a few friends right now. She wondered... if she scared them away...

"Anyway. I hope I'm not annoying you. Am I?" She glanced at him skeptically.

Shariea
Waya chuckled softly, his laugh grumbling from deep in his chest. "No, you're not. Besides... Its part of your charm.. I was just thinking about how... You are so..." he paused, he didnt want to call her naive to her face..." So in wonder of the simple things that I often over look." There.. that skimmed that over nicely...

Suddenly he wondered why he cared what he said to her.. and he came to the conclusion because he wanted to call her a friend. This warmed him inside.. he didnt have any friends..nor family. He was finally warming up to others.. and this made him happy.

Shariea
The tall dark stallion blinked lightly and tilted his head, a wave of ebony locks masking his face. His tail flicked against the ground as he watched her explode into mirth. To see the world the way she did would be quite a wonder.

As the topic once again turned towards him he remained silent for several minutes. His blue eyes staring at her, yet past her off into the distace... through the horrizon, through time itself.

"No..." He spoke at last, his smooth baratone voice shattering the still silence that had surrounded him. "I have none.. I am alone. " And with that he left the matter.

AnimeChickie
For a split second, Chitsa frowned. "I'm sorry..." She guessed that she really did pry too much. Maybe she talked too much too. Maybe she should just shut up. How depressing...

Now she felt bad for even bringing that up. "Again I'm sorry... I guess I'll leave now." Her head hung low and she turned around to leave. How... lame was she...

Shariea
With a frown Waya blinked and pawed his front hoove into the ground. "Hey...Its ok. I mean Its not like you knew right?" He tilted his head as she began to walk away. He'd gone and done it, he'd broken that viberant spirit of hers with but a few words. This left him terrably speachless and a little panic striken.

What excatly had he done? He'd answered her question, he hadnt berranted her or just ignored her. He'd thought he;d been friendly enough, yet here she was sad, and walking away.

With a sigh Waya walked towards her. "Hey..Stop?" He called to her, nickering softly. He didnt want her to go, not like that. Not shattered and broken, when she'd been so happy before. He had to fix her....

Shariea
Waya stopped and looked at her, his own eyes going wide as she just stared at him. Now why did she have to go and do a thing like that, he inwardly groaned. Thinking to himself he continued, This is why I should have stayed alone. So wouldnt have to deal with things like this. And another part of him jumped in. Yeah because you dont know how! He snorted and frowned forceing the fighting voices from his mind. They where doing him no good here in the presnent time.

His blue eyes washed over her again and he sighed. "Look...Its just not something one talks about much..beging alone. I suppose you have a loving family who take care of you...I never had that. I had to fend for myself, Still do. " He paused, his front hooves lightly dancing as he tried to find the right way to say what he wanter. Articulation was hardly one of his strong points.....

AnimeChickie
Shaking her head softly, "No... I didn't know my family. I know they're out there but I don't know who they are. Might it be worse to know you have family but not know who they are or where they were?" She couldn't believe she had said that but it was what she was thinking.

Chitsa paused once more. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I grew up with an indian, but it was hard for me to understand her. She cared for me, but most of the time I wasn't even at the teepee. I was just an occassional visitor, until she asked me if I wanted to call that place my home. But I hunted for myself because sometimes there wouldn't even be enough food to feed her..."

Shariea
The stallion sighed softly, perhaps her story was not so differnt from his own then. She'd lived with a two legger...frankly he didnt trust them, but here she was safe and grown, So maybe there where a few good ones in the batch. His tail lashed against the ground and he nodded his head. The silver of his under coat flashing lightly against the setting sun.

The dim rays washed over the valley, casting it in hues of orange and red. The valley was aflame with color. Waya smiled only faintly and glanced from the sky back to the small wingged mare. "But..Here we both are right? Through everything, No matter who we have or who we dont. So why linger on the past? Move forward to the future..." His words lightly trailed off as they often seemed to these days. His vision gazing over the valley at sunset yet again. It was times like these that made him feel truely alive, times like these that kept him fighting.

In a sudden wild display, the great stallion reared himself up. His hind legs planted firmly on the ground as his front paws touched the sky itself. His lungs filled with air and from his mouth came a great cry, A whicker like no other. A Cry of Joy, of compassion, Yet wild as the forest itself. Free and never tamed. He shook his head, his mane trailing down over his charcole back as his cry echoed into the distance, sweeping down upon the valley, weaving between the blades of grass and finally merdging into silence.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa couldn't help but continue to stare at him skeptically. But she tilted his head when he starts to get a little more optimistic. Immediately, her ears perked up and the fire appears in her eyes again. "Mm. I guess you could say that."

Her moods were so random, it was hard to say what she really was like but one thing was for sure. She is as sincere as it gets.

The mare stared up at him in awe, he looked so... majestic... If only she could learn how to fly and maybe she could be as great as he was.

Shariea
Lightly his hoves touched against the soil once more, prancing lightly. He coulndt help but smile at this point, there was a fire in his eyes as well, one that burned deep within his very being and could never truely be quelched. The cinders had been lying low inside of him since he had made his way down from the mountins in search of others. And Now he found they they burned evern brighter than before.

He Gave her a half cocked smile and tilted his head to the right. His tail once again lashed the ground. "Im glad to see you think so..."

AnimeChickie
Chitsa grinned wildly and raised her head up. She tossed her mane lazily as gnats started to appear. Now it would be awkward. She didn't know what to say just in case she said something odd like just now. But she didn't want them to just stand there. That'd be so boring...

The flutter stretched her wings slowly as they hadn't been doing much during that point and they felt a little sore because she had tried flying so much.

Gazing around the clearing, Chitsa had never been here before... Apparently she had been visiting a smaller clearing nearby but this one was huge. Such a large field... she just wanted to prance around in it just like the butterfly her wings mimicked. Suddenly, she begins to run through the grass, with a huge grin on her face, she loved to feel the wind on her face and going through her mane and tail. Everytime she jumped into the air, her wings fluttered wildly, and it was obvious that she was excited.

Chitsa never seemed to be... unhappy or sad unless she was with another soquili, but she always seemed to brush it right off. Sisika had always wondered how she could be like this, since it was such a virtue. Optimistic you could call her, but she was realistic also.

Ameh
The wind blowing in from the plains seemed to be calling out as the field stretched wider and wider seemingly as Roka made his way hoof after hoof, tail blowing elegantly in the breeze. He had somewhat accidentally gone out of the forest from his home, his teepee near the lake. Perhaps he had been exploring too deep in the forest that he somehow ended up where he was -- here. Before he could ponder about where all the trees had gone to, he heard the wind whistle to him. It tugged him towards the center of the wide stretch of plain before him, and soon he found himself dashing through the fields. His wings began to spread outwards, and his hooves grazed the ground ever-so-lightly as his body floated a few inches upwards so that he didn't touch the grass anymore. He smiled. Although this was indeed an exhilirating feeling, he still felt the same as ever -- a quirk in his personality, one could say.

As Roka continued marauding the fields, he noticed a dark apparition coming into view. As he neared it, it seemed to take on the form of a soquili... with wings. Intrigued, he let his wings fold back along his sides and slowed down into a peaceful trot. He wondered where it was headed to, and pondered whether he should interfere with its solitude. Hesitatingly, he put on a friendly smile and sauntered up slowly to the other soquili...

Chitsa continued to prance around in the tall grass of the meadow. She came to a stop and took a deep breath of the fresh air and then exhaled. Wow. She felt invigorated, not that she didn't always feel like that, but even better than normal. She stood there, her eyes scanning the area around her, the wind flowing through her slightly curled tail.

Then she saw him, a winged stallion walking towards her. She tilted her head and summed him up as he approached. Once again, shorter than another soquili. She guessed that she better get used to it. Chitsa smiled softly as he approached, "Hello there."

Ameh
"Hello," came the mechanical reply as Roka made his way to the silhouette he had spotted earlier. Upon closer inspection, the wings that were on the soquili were butterfly-like, and the soquili was a female; a mare. A flutter mare. He noticed that her height and size in general paled in comparison to his, and wondered if she was still a foal... an unusually large foal. He chuckled. Perhaps he would ask her something about her size later.

"How has the day gone so far?" he asked casually. "I think the wind has been acting quite childish today." He stared at the sky, thinking that what he had said was a phrase most commonly used. His tail wiggled slightly left to right, eager and joyful that he was becoming acquainted with someone new. Roka hadn't met much soquili besides members of his family, and ones that resided in his teepee residence.

AnimeChickie
Tilting her head curiously, Chitsa smiled at the handsome stallion. "The day? Oh. It's been quite fair to me." What an odd question, but then again, Chitsa was odd. She almost completely forgot, "Oh dear. Forgive me for the informalities, my name is Chitsa." The mare smiled once more and looked as if she was about to shake his hoof if she could.

She could already tell that this meeting was going to be... odd, no not odd, just different. But she couldn't tell whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing. Chitsa had actually met quite an array of soquili since she didn't live with her family or seem them often, but that was ok for her. Though, she always enjoyed meeting new soquili, it made her rather happy. Maybe that could possibly be the reason she was always excited, the prospect of meeting a new soquili that day.

Ameh
Roka breathed in contentedly. The fresh air graced his lungs with clean oxygen, making him feel even more calm than he usually is. He flexed his neck and then nodded, creating a moment of silence before he spoke again. "I am called Roka. Informalities...? No worries." He shifted his wings uncomfortably as if they were rusted metal awaiting an oil treatment. "A quite fair day indeed... A nice soar through the sky is in order. Do you fly?" He motioned with his head to Chitsa's wings. Though they were a pair, on her back, and looked like wings, he wasn't sure if they operated correctly -- he never did actually see the mare fly, after all.

He stepped up closer to Chitsa to get a better view of her wings. Without thinking of manners, he stared quizzically at the butterfly wings. They looked very thin and light - unlike his own feathery wings. But it had a different texture, a different shape, and it was... transparent. He had never seen anything like this before, except on a few small insects that lived in the sky that he had encountered when he was young. What were they called... butterflies? "I like them," he plainly said, "show me?" He looked at her like an eager young boy.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa bounced up and down quickly and then stopped, "It's quite a pleasure to meet you Roka!" The mare grinned happily and watched him with curious crystal blue eyes. "Oh." She paused slightly, "Me? Fly? Of course not silly!" She chuckled nervously, "I could fly I guess..." She shrugged slightly and pawed at the ground.

She didn't move as the stallion moved closer to her, she just stared at him with huge eyes wondering what he was doing. Sometimes she forgot that she had wings, since they were so light, it was easy to forget. Chitsa continued to watch him curiously and then spread her wings open. The sunlight poured through the semi-transparent wings, leaving a slight blue glow on the grass. Chitsa wondered if there was just... something wrong with her. She was ever so curious now.

Ameh
Roka smiled while Chitsa bounced. She seemed ever so enthusiastic and filled to the brim with energy--something he had never seen in a soquili before; most soquili he knew were cynical or sarcastic around him--traits he never really had a taste for. Roka's own blue eyes watched Chitsa's every move with amusement. "The pleasure is mine, Chitsa," he said, emphasizing every letter in her name, pondering if he had said it correctly. He looked interestedly at her. "No? Yes?" he asked, confused.

He maneuvered his head closer to her wings -- very close, so that his nostrils were practically an inch away from the surface of her wings. He sniffed. Nothing. He didn't get the tickling feeling that he always got when he put his own nose close to his wings and breathed in. Chitsa's wings seemed so perfect -- so perfect for flying! So perfect for living with! He didn't enjoy sneezing after he sniffed his own wings. Oh no, that troubled him. But her wings - so light! Transparent! He looked at the grass that had suddenly turned blue-ish beneath her. He tilted his head, wondering if something had caught in his eyes to make the grass look like that. He grunted. Maybe he hadn't gotten enough sleep, or...?

"Your wings are doing that," he mumbled curiously. A slow smile crept over his featuers. "Beautiful. You're..." He paused, brow furrowed, and thought for a long moment. A sheepish smile formed on his face again. "You're beautiful, you know?" He giggled almost childishly, and looked straight into Chitsa's eyes. "More than any other soquili I've met so far... But who knows? Hm?"

AnimeChickie
She nodded vigorously, but then paused. "Hm. Not at the time." She shrugged, Chitsa didn't mind being grounded for awhile. She had a lot of fun on the ground anyway... but that didn't make her any less curious about what it was like to soar in the skies.

Unfortunately, Chitsa turned out to be extremely ticklish, especially on her wings, for some odd reason. So as he placed his nostrils close to her wings, the mare burst into laughter and tried to subdue herself. Now, Chitsa hopped backwards trying to stop laughing. Slowly, she calmed herself down and looked at him. "Oh dear. I'm sorry! I am, sadly, very ticklish..." She paused, "Very ticklish." She grinned softly, hoping he didn't mind.

Chitsa had never heard those words come out of a soquili's mouth before, let alone directed at her. If she had a lighter fur color, her cheeks would have been as red as a rose. "Oh-" She paused, "No I'm not very beautiful..." She always thought she was a tad clumsy and awkward looking.

Ameh
A slight, visible, yet intangible smile swept over Roka's face. Chitsa's wings were ticklish - how ironic! His own wings tickled his nose, but now his nose tickled Chitsa's wings! He laughed a bit too, along with her, because of the moment. "Don't be sorry... Sorry for what? Being ticklish? It is only a trait that makes one more unique, makes one more interesting." He hesitated, wondering more about her wings. "Is that why you don't fly? The wind's embrace tickles your wings?" He laughed. "How interesting."

He nodded affirmatively, glancing at Chitsa once more before turning to the clouds and sky. "You are, very," he said, all expression now gone from his face. "...Where do you come from?" he asked, hoping her answer would give some insight as to why she, to him, had seemed like the most beautiful and yet strangest soquili he had seen so far. Strange, yes, as the butterfly wings were something new -- but that was also interesting. Perhaps she had been sent from the heavens? Surely, anything was possible in this age.

AnimeChickie
Chitsa grinned sheepishly and blushed once more, even though it was hardly visible. The mare shrugged and looked up at the sky, "I don't know... The wind doesn't tickle my wings but everything else does." She giggled softly and shrugged once more.

"Come from? I think." She paused, she actually wasn't quite sure but from what Sisika told her, she was born here, "I was born here. My mother and supposedly my father have similar wings as I do and my brother has wings too!" Wow, she never realized how little she knew about her family. Perhaps she would seek out Shaylee once more and ask her about it. They really needed a family reunion anyway, and Chitsa dearly wanted to meet her father. "What about you?" The mare tilted her head curiously at him. How lucky she was to meet such a nice stallion, not that the previous stallions she had met before weren't nice... Roka was just different.

Ameh
Roka slyly smiled, looking back to Chitsa's wings. He enjoyed challenges, or the possibility of them, anyways. One day, he would conquer her wing's ticklishness and get them to stay still when in contact with anything else, other than the sky, wind, and air. If he couldn't, then no problem. Life was just a big citrus fruit, to him, anyways, waiting to be squeezed. When challenges are overcome, juice would come out from the squeezing. But it so happens that Roka doesn't very much enjoy the citrusy juice of life, perhaps.

"Ah, you have a family," he stated, "a family just like you. Curious." He nodded slowly, wondering if one day he would get to meet another one of Chitsa's family--another one of her kind. But then again, knowing Chitsa was enough for him. He enjoyed isolation sometimes, and knowing many others would just make his head hurt--seeing too many familiar faces, being surrounded all the time. "Do they all have ticklish wings like you?" he asked, oblivious as to whether she had even met her family members yet or not. Of course she had; he knew who his own family members were, and saw them whenever he wished. He even lived with his own mother in their indians' teepee. "Eh, I have a family too. Both my mother and father have wings, too, but my wings are most like my father's. You should meet them one day. I'll bring you to them. They're nice, and I think they like meeting many new soquilis--a pleasure I am unfamiliar with, I'm afraid. I mean, although it is nice to meet new ones, I don't unintentionally go out of my way to do that." He looked down, digging his two front hooves deeper into the ground. "I like spending time with the wind, grass, and trees more. They offer me better company than my current friends and family--especially my two sisters." He smiled as the moist dirt underneath the grass gave way a little for his hooves to sink in. It gave him an interesting feeling, but it wasn't as enjoyable as before. Perhaps he was thinking too much. Perhaps he has said too much. Chitsa didn't seem like any other soquili he knew--so far, he rather enjoyed her company. This has never happened before. Perhaps his system was malfunctioning...

AnimeChickie
Deep in her heart, Chitsa knew she probably could fly, but there was some odd force that was keeping her grounded. Maybe someday she could identify the unknown force, but for now, she was content, very content. She always tried to stay positive about life, there were always the ups and downs but that's just what life was. A very... very bumpy road. Sometimes you just wanted to vomit but must refrain for your own sanity and Chitsa was far beyond sane now.

The mare nodded softly as he spoke. Most of the soquili she had met, didn't know their family or were gone somewhere so it was nice to know that there were other children other than her wandering around. Chitsa enjoyed the peace and quiet, but she really love meeting other soquili and just being socially active. Sitting in the teepee bored her, and because she had nobody to talk to, it was nice to just get out and run through the grass with the wind flowing her her mane and tail. "Hm. That's an odd thought, I have no idea. I've never met my father and my brother and mother didn't seem to have that problem." She believed that they could all fly, she wasn't sure about her brother but he probably could. "Meet them? Oh that would be just wonderful!" Chitsa always loved to meet new soquili, and especially if they were Roka's parents, she would definitely want to meet them. Why she felt this, she did not know but she liked the feeling. "I'm the only soquili that lives in my teepee, with a two-legger. She's alright but she's gone most of the day, so I'm left doing nothing." Chitsa paused, "Not that I mind, but sometimes it gets boring." The mare grinned sheepisly and tossed her short mane.

Chitsa watched Roka curiously as he pawed at the ground, curious... But then she gazed back up at him and smiled softly. Her smile almost seemed infectious, it was hard to say why but she was just that way.

Ameh
Although Chitsa seemed like she wasn't able to fly with him now, she did have the wings, which give hope for flight with her in the future. The mere prospect of being able to fly with someone else whose company he enjoyed excited Roka. He smiled, partly because of Chitsa's smiling and the small gleam of hope for that chance in the distant future...

"Perhaps you have met them already." He snorted awkwardly, in a twisted combination of a chuckle and a grunt of slight resentment. "My father, especially, enjoys meeting a variety of soquili. His name is Orchu, and my mother's is Kasumi. I live with my mother, and she is... pretty much tolerable. One of my sisters, Nora, lives with father, while my other sister, Claribel... Well, I don't know where she is at all. Perhaps father or mother knows. I don't get to see my two two-leggers often, either. I do admit they are interesting sometimes, but I haven't been around them long enough to know much about them. But... You're left doing nothing?" he asked, each word in his last sentence drawn out, as if he couldn't believe that anyone would be left doing nothing, for the world was full of things to do!

"I wouldn't mind spending those times with you," he said casually. "If you'd like to--if you find it to be too boring at times." He simpered as his eyes turned to the dirt below his front hooves. As he lifted his hooves up, he noticed that he had made two bowl-like formations on the ground. He then had begun to stare at the two half-holes intently, as if he had forgotten that Chitsa was standing near him. "If you'd like to," he repeated, in a softer tone.

AnimeChickie
Yes she did have wings, she was going to fly someday... she could feel it in her bones. The prospect of possibly flying someday soon excited her and she couldn't help but giggle to herself.

Chitsa shook her head slightly, "If they look somewhat like you, then I probably have not met them. I've met a few other winged soquili like you but none that have similar markings." She wasn't too disappointed by that though, that would just mean she could spend more time with Roka and maybe get to know his family. The prospect of that also excited her. "That must be nice, living with your mother..." She didn't mind living away from Shaylee, but she wished she could see her more, but that could possibly be her fault. She didn't get out as much as she liked. The mare giggled as he drew out each word of his sentence, "Yes. Noothing to do, at all. Sometimes I feel a little restricted because I'm stuck on the ground." Chitsa shrugged softly and looked to the ground, beginning to wonder what he was thinking at the moment.

As he said that, she glances up at him with curious eyes, "With... me?" She was rather shocked, because she had been told that she was extremely annoying and ever too hyper, before. "Of course! I'd love to spend time with you, even if I'm not bored." She had a rather sincere tone in her voice. That was a special thing about her, she was probably one of the most honest soquili's you'd ever meet.

Ameh
"That's a surprise," Roka stated frankly, "as father seems to have been trying to meet every other soquili in this world. Ah, well. Living with my mother is fine, but we still don't get to spend that much time.

Quote:
It was a quiet summer day, there was a soft breeze floating by the buckskin teepee. The sun was just about to disappear away on the horizon.

Sitting cross-legged out side of the large teepee, Sisika was gazing into the fire in silence. It had been quiet since Chitsa had first emerged yet so exciting at the same time. When the little bundle of joy had bounded out of it's protective basket, Sisika was there to great the little foal with open arms. It wasn't in Sisika's nature to be too compassionate but animals especially soquili were an exception.

Sisika was a more solitary figure and she was much more violent and had quite the temper. When she was young, she was forced to fight for her life or die. With a spear, the young girl was forced to fend for herself after that war and lived alone in the woods. She grew up but eventually learned that not everything was war. She matured much faster then she would have if she had lived a more sheltered life.

Now she lived next to a lake with Chitsa and was quite content. Her personality hadn't changed much and she always felt that there was a part of her heart that was missing but she never pondered on it much.

Tossing a smooth rock into the lake, Sisika nodded to Chitsa as the foal emerged from the teepee with weary eyes. "Good evening."

Chitsa nodded back to the indian. "Indeed it is." She shook her miniature butterfly wings slowly as she stretched in silence. Slowly, she made her way towards the lake and pawed at the water. Even though she had emerged two weeks ago, there were so many sights and smells she needed to learn and thanks to Sisika, she had covered most of the lake and nearby forest.

Sisika shrugged slightly and prodded the fire slowly with a stick. "Successful hunt today and whatnot." The flames flickered, casting an ominous shadow across the teepee.

Chitsa gazed about the lake with large curious eyes. So far she hadn't met very many new soquili besides Shaylee and Saissis. It made her slightly depressed but how could such a youngin' be depressed about life already. Though in her two weeks of being around, Chitsa had already set the record for most questions asked. Sisika's temper must be running thin already...

Raising a brow, Sisika glanced at Chitsa skeptically hoping it wasn't going to be a dumb question. "It's a quiet night tonight... Almost too quiet." The teenager continued to glance at Chitsa.

She too was gazing around on the lake, "Can fish... fly?" It had been plaguing the young foal's mind for a whole three minutes so she just had to ask. Chitsa glanced at Sisika and continued to ponder her inquiry.

Sisika looked out onto the lake in silence. It was a pity she couldn't converse with the little soquili. It would be nice to have some company she could talk to... Maybe someday. Maybe someday...

The foal had seen something flying over the water. Chitsa still hadn't learned how to differentiate from a bird flying over the water from a fish swimming in the lake. Her glistening tail flickered back and forth swatting off the mosquitoes.

Sisika wondered what Chitsa thought of a lot. Soquili still were mysterious figures. The girl continued to sit cross-legged in front of the fire, staring intently at it as if she was expecting it to die at any second.
