It was a long and dark night nestled into the dreary mountaintops. Sunken into a tragic and eerie sound of wind that whistled its way through the very rocks itself. A soft noise came from the lonely figure that stood wrapped up in a dark bundle, blue eyes drifting back and forth though the mountainous region that kept her bound to her circumstance. Alone… was this the way it was to be?

“Don’t fret young one.” Came a voice from behind her. A green paw laid itself on the maiden’s shoulder as red eyes reached out of the darkness to comfort the one who stood with no purpose. “Shhh… he will come…”

]The one who was cloaked said no words. She turned for but a moment to view the old gypsy. No expression was on her face as she shifted away from the touch, moving from the woman to peer back into the cave, as if saying she believed nothing the fortune teller could say. This only caused a sigh from her companion’s lips.

“You cannot keep on this silence my dear…” Stated the wiser of the two. She frowned when the lioness made no motion to even accept that the gypsy was talking to her. “Briseis… please..”

Eyes shot up in a most glaring nature. “Please?!” She hissed, having spoke for the first time that night. “My family is gone! My life is left to this damn mountainside and you want me to believe that some savior I have never met before will come rescue me? Excuse me for doubting…” Her voice was oddly soft, even in a forced nature which the yelling had found itself in. “Do not try to bring me from my vow Woman.” She shot the gypsy a look before retreating into the confines of the cave. All hope had left her…

Elsewhere...Kraes’ eyes shut on himself. It had been close… very few of his people had made it out… those damn cautalay! Mishaelion would have his head if he knew he had lost the kingdom so carelessly… what a crappy king he had turned out to be. Frowning, he knew he would go down in history as the one who had destroyed Eenon. But all he could do is get out and get out as many as he could. Thankfully, his sister had also survived… for that he was thankful.
However, as much as he could think.. this trial wasn’t over. As his wings were gliding him over the sky, he felt something impale his left wing. Skidding down, he could feel that he was losing momentum. Trying to shift his weight and ignore the hissing pain from the newly injured wing, his eyes shot up when he saw the figure of a black lion trailing him.

[Not posting an image of him because its too big... and it won't let me resize properly...]
"Don't you forget me Kraes!" A loud roar came from the pitch black male that was trailing not far from the injured lion. Smirking, the black lion swooped down to pick up another rock from the mountainside. Glancing back to the other male, he aimed and was about ready to fire...

Another body came flying out of no where, pushing Kraes as far away from the bolder as possible. It sent Kraes' body flying as a white male stood there, glaring at the black one. "Maginus.." He hissed. "If you wish to fight than take me on." Shifting his red eyes back at Kraes. "Get out of here! Now."

Kraes gritted his teeth as pain shot through his body at it being flicked almost effortlessly through the air. His eyes shifted and was astonished to see the last lion he ever thought he would see again. "Jaronoth.." He frowned, his brow showing how perplexed he was at the sudden appearance of his sister's old flame now come to defend him. "Why would you...?"

“Now!” Came a deep feminine voice from seemingly no where. A patch of shadows buckled and staring directly into his eyes came a pair of piercing deep blue eyes. She didn’t give much of a chance to let him ask why she was there. “Now Kraes! We don’t have time.” Her eyes narrowed and she pushed him away from the two lions fighting in the air. “I know a place where we can hide…”

“Hide? Pardon me..” He began to object but the shadow maiden only glared him into submission. Frowning, he could only let the Cndra lead him as she paid special attention to not hurt his wing any more than what it had already been injured. He was a bit surprised to find that she was oddly gentle with him. She used her inlion strength to pull him to safety, hiding him at the side of a mountain, letting him rest in a cave. “Why would you do this for me..?” He questioned her as she led him deep inside and began examining the wound that was now only giving a minor trickle of blood.

"Why?" One brow crept above the normal level as her tedious examination finally ended. Musing, she brushed back a stray strand of hair that had fallen into her eyes. "I know our kinds have their differences..." Which was quite obvious as it was her kind who had just driven his from their home.. "..But I'm not like them. I don't know how many times I have to prove that. At least.. Marek believed me." Kraes felt a pang when she mentioned his cousin and he couldn't help but frown. "I told him I would protect you at all costs.. it is my job. Now hold still." She ordered as she took his wing in her paws and began to chant.
As her eyes shut, a black mist wormed its way from her arms down into her paws, shifting its away through Kraes' wings until it began to mend the wound completely together.

His eyes opened wide after she had finished, "What did you..." His voice trailed off as he flexed his wing, it felt better than it did before! "You're a healer..?" His voice was unsure. Somehow, he couldn't see the dark goddess to be a healer of any sort. To his question she only smirked and moved back. When she moved, he let his wings stretch out completely, and finally a smile crept on his lips. "Thank you Arei, truly."

"You're welcome." She stated quickly and moved off from the cave toward the mouth. Shifting her head over her shoulder she stated, "Get some rest. I'll keep watch." With a slight smile, the shadow disappeared into the darkness and Kraes suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. Could he ever be sure that he was completely alone with someone like her around?

Morning...
"And what do we have here...?" The sound of a foreign voice filled Kraes' ears. With his eyes shifting up, he couldn't help but muse at seeing a bright green lioness hovered above him. "Well!" She stated as she poked him with a stick. "I asked who you are?" Putting the stick down, she gave an expectant look.
